  • Impossible to connect to vCenter Server 5.5 using the vSphere Client

    Hello

I'm trying to configure VMware Lab home using the link below and I have reached a stage where I need to connect to vCenter Server using the vSphere client.

    http://boerlowie.WordPress.com/2011/12/13/building-the-ultimate-vSphere-lab-part-9-ESXi/

I installed the package of 5.5 full vCenter server using the simple installation option and it includes vCenter server, single sign - on, Webclient vSphere, vCenter server and vCenter Server inventory service. All the the latter is installed on a virtual machine that is running Windows server 2008 R2 guest OS.

Whenever I try to open a session on the vCenter Server uses the vSphere client, one of the following error is displayed.

    1. you do not have the permissions to connect to the server 'vCenter server IP address.

    2. cannot complete the connection incorrect username or password-, this error is visible when I do not specify domain\username domain user name and simply enter the user name.

For the details of the error, please see the screenshots - vSphere_client_1, vSphere_client_2 and vSphere_client_3.

As suggested in the link below, I tried to create an SPN and then set the SPN (Principal of Service name) and the UPN (User Principal name) in the Active Directory identity Source using the web of vSphere client (please see screenshot vSphere_Webclient_2)

    http://vinfrastructure.it/2014/01/issue-in-logging-into-vCenter-server-using-Windows-ad-credentials/

To fix the permission error, I tried to add the domain user to the Administrators group on the server vCenter (see screenshot vSphere_Webclient_1).

However, none of the above-mentioned resolution has worked.

So can someone please help? I am stuck because of this problem and badly need help to move forward.

  • How can I migrate the Juno client files to Thunderbird?

Years, I have used Juno client applications, dating back perhaps to their debut.

Of course, they went from "shapefiles" strictly ASCII in this boring BDBish format.

I have juno5bdb, but don't know what output format they use is compatible with the current "Bird and could not find an import feature in ' bird to complete the process."

Juno is not a facility to freely transfer things between the client and webmail, so the recent solution you have for someone who wants to migrate its former webmail messages does not apply to me.

I hesitate to use Thunderbird, until I can look at my Juno-client messages in it, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass each and every message stored, that would take time to helluvalong and where there is no way for me to go back.

Thunderbird uses the mbox mail storage format.
You can use this module to import mbox files.

  • Equipment does not respond when connected with the desktop remotely

    Hello

I have a PC with labview controlling a power supply via a serial connection. It works fine, except when I am looged in remote to my PC from another PC lab via desktop remotely. The VI runs correctly, but does not have the equipment to receive orders. Why would it be?

    Thank you

    Guillaume.

If you have configured, the remote computer might try to use the serial port on the computer you're remot desktopping of.  Carefully go through the remote desktop settings and make sure that you are not telling the remote computer to use local ports.

  • vFoglight - moving the database to another SQL Server

    Hello

We are moving our vFoglight to a SQL Server database to another SQL (production version) server.  I changed the server/instance name in the foglight.config file to point to the new server and instance and restarted the service (and eventually rebooted as well).  However, vFoglight no longer works.  Is there another step necessary to make it work?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Mark,

We have to examine FMS log and SQL server log to see what error is to jump, but as a quick check you can check that the server authentication is set to SQL Server and Windows authentication mode in the security settings of your instance of SQL Server.

  • Error "Failed to connect to the remote computer" VMware View Client

Hello everyone. I'm currently testing the package VMware view, but stuck on a problem, I can't understand.  I have already tried Googling every possible thing, but still came short on what to do.

    Currently I have:

    Server ESXi 3.5

    -vCenter Server

    -Connection to the server

-3 swimming pools installed individual office xp host w/view agents

At the moment, I seemed straight installation because I am able to connect using VMware client/portal with any full blown windows box anywhere in the internal network.  The problem I have is when I try to load the client software VMware view on a HP Neoware e90 box running windows xp embedded.  When I loaded the software and try to connect, I get the address connection server, authentication screen passes, but receives the error "the connection to the remote computer failed" when I try to select one of the desktop images in the list.

I am capable of everything everywhere, ping from thin client to conn. Server, thin client desktop image and vice versa.  I am also able to RDP in the desktop images in the light client area but just can't understand why it won't pass this error above.  I tried to disable the firewall on everything, but it still doesn't seem to work.  Am I missing a simple step or has someone else has encountered this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

When you have disabled the firewall was that the firewall or service / network level? If it was at the level of the network, then you must disable the service and stop it. If you have the service, then can you get the logs of the client and post them. Often this info can indicate where he is faced with a problem.

  • Remote RDP client VPN access on ASA 5510

    Hello.

We have configured the VPN tunnel from site of offshore to the location of the customer using ASA5510 and access to RDP to the location of the customer. Also been configured remote VPN access in offshore location. But using the remote VPN client, we are able to get the RDP of officeshore location but not able to access to the location of the RDP client. Are there any additional changes required?

    Thank you

    Hi Salsrinivas,

    so to summarize:

the VPN client connects to the ASA offshore

the VPN client can successfully RDP on a server at the offshore location

the VPN client cannot NOT RDP on a server at the location of the customer

offshore and the location of the customer are connected by a tunnel L2L

(and between the 2 sites RDP works very well)

    is that correct?

    Things to check:

-the vpn in the ACL crypto pool?

-you're exemption nat for traffic between the vpn pool and 'customer' LAN? is the exemption outside (vpn clients are coming from the outside)?

-you have "same-security-traffic permitted intra-interface" enabled (traffic will appear outside and go back outside)?

If you need help more could you put a config (sterilized) Please?

  • Server 2008 rdp client does not keep by default local printer

Question: Windows XP workstation connects to the client terminal server 2008 for an application. The local workstation XP has a based LPT printer. The local printer is selected to be used through the RDP client and can be seen on the Terminal Server session. The central issue is that the RDP session will not keep the local printer the default XP workstation. It can be chosen and works, but never stays after the end of the session and reconnect or even log out of the session and you reconnect. It never remains the default printer, instead, it takes the default value of the server administrator. 1 of 7 other network printers.

Points: The XP workstation has a printer LPT laserjet 4000 series as is the local default LPT. I followed a Tech Note "http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;302361" which seems to have nothing to do with this topic.

Note: The server is standard with clients more Terminal server 2008. All the network printers according to works, and other customers to keep printers default network without problem.

Annex Note: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverTS/thread/2a6944a1-d1cb-492c-b413-75dcbe7dad9b is linked. I have this strategy enabled for all other customers. I guess what would be necessary, would be a work around.

  • Doestnt Smartphones blackBerry Desktop Manager recognize the new operating system

I downloaded the new OS device for 8520 in my PC, but the Director of office don't informs me of the new OS.does this 7.1 version recognizes the new device OS after being downloaded on PC? Help me guys

BlackBerry Desktop Software will recognize an OS that is released by your carrier.  If you downloaded from another carrier and has not removed the 'seller .xml' file, he will see that it is not your provider and it will not show depending on availability. If you have downloaded it from another carrier, look in these forums for instructions on how to load an operating system on your phone and you will be shown how to properly remove this file, which is located in several locations.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Server printing 2012 with RDP clients.

I built a system Windows Server 2012 on a virtual server. The host OS is Centos 6, update 4 64-bit.

I have set up firewall rules that transfer port 389 on the host to the guest system.
Incoming users are all RDP and they participate, connect and run applications without difficulty.
I followed the guidelines for the implementation of printer drivers. The RDP client allows the sharing of printers and works and prints with an old Server 2003 box.
Whenever I try and print test to a local printer by using RDP, a dialog box appears. "The printer is in an error state" printing itself fair job sitting in the queue never move.
I followed the correct procedures of windows to set up the print queues. I created their use of the software for the client OS and queues, look good and will appear on the RDP sessions as available printers.
As A Unix gearhead, I think that the firewall is NOT the problem. In similar configurations all that I need to do to get print jobs is port 389 to the front of the windows box.
I wonder if there is some sort of Setup Wizard, I need to run to allow printing to return to the local printer of RDP clients.

Chances are that you'd better ask in the TechNet forums. Have you tried to disable the firewall to completely exclude it?

  • How to configure the local and logging remotely using the host profiles, not with advance options

    Help, please

    Hello

Local and remote syslog feature can be configured for a cluster of similar hosts using the host profiles.

For more information, see guide installation and Set Up Syslog of the section of the Interface of host profiles in vSphere Installation.

Connect the Server vCenter by using the vSphere Client.

    Click home.

Under the administration section, click host profiles.

Create a new profile or modify an existing profile.

In the Edit Profile dialog box, set one or more of the five configuration options.

If you configured using esxcli or advanced syslog configuration options and this has captured a host of reference, 5 configuration options are already visible in the Advanced Configuration option section.

If syslog has not been previously configured, right-click the section of Advanced Configuration options and add a profile for each of the five configuration options.

Save the profile and assign it to the hosts.

  • Shado task does not connect to the Thin Client

Trying to hide a T520 on HPDM 4.6SP4 thin client, when I run the task of shadow, I retrieve a VNC connection on the server HPDM and not the thin client. T520 thin clients are ThinPro 5. This happens on the T510 Smart thin clients zero Core as well. I'm guessing there's a conf file that may have a value defined by mistake, but didn't find it.

    Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query on the Forum from the HP Support

Looks like you are facing difficulties regarding the task of the shadow copy in the HP Device Manager

1 shadow task uses the built in VNC server for the HP Device Manager software

    2. If you have installed a separate VNC software on the server of HPDM, there could be a conflict

    3. also please check under "services.msc" to find out how many services VNC running concurrently

    4. If you find that several services VNC please disable those who is not necessary

    5. Please goto Add / Remove programs and uninstall VNC Viewer is installed separately

  • the Web client Setup

    Hello world

    Please forget my lame question.

I'm running vSphere 5.1 and I use OS X on my laptop.

I was looking for a native vSphere client, but I discovered there was no. Now, I'm trying to install the web client of vSphere according to this procedure. But when I try to download the installer of vCenter I got the following error:

You are not allowed or are not authorized to download this product.

Check with your My VMware Super user, Contact of procurement or the administrator.

I am a home user and I have a free version of vSphere.

Is it possible in this case to use the web client, or run a native app on OS X?

    Thank you!

vSphere client of Web is used to manage vCenter server and does not support only guests.

You can not access your ESXi server directly by using the web client of vSphere.

If you want to run the client vSphere on OS X. check this box below the post.
