import to iCloud

I imported the photo from my iPhone to my computer with iCloud. After unplugging my phone, I deleted all the pictures on my phone to make more room. When I checked later on this week here, ALL my photos were deleted from my computer/icloud. How to make a comeback?

One way is to connect you to https://www.icloud.com/ from a computer, click on the Photos app, click on Albums in the top bar, click on the recently deleted album, click Select Photos then click on recover all or select specific photos and then click on recover.

Or you can go in the folder deleted recently in the Photos on your iPhone or the app Photos on your Mac.

As you found, iCloud photo library is a synchronization mechanism. You can reduce the space required on your phone by going to settings > iCloud > Photos > and turn on Optimize iPhone storage.

  • Import the iCloud photos in Lightroom

I have an iMac with Yosemite, my photo library is currently in Photos (ICloud). I don't want to move the library to Lightroom at the moment, but do not want to use to change individual pictures, but I don't see how to import a photo in Lightroom when the photo is not on my hard drive. I'm not techno of mind so please use simple language! Thank you

    Hi Carolina,.

Lightroom is not designed to be a tool of "a single image at a time", it is designed to manage all your images, and he really excels at working together with many images. That said, you are free to import as little as a single image at a time in Lightroom, given two main conditions:

    1. you must have the original image to import into Lightroom.

    2. you must have a dedicated, don't change location to keep this image when you use Lightroom. If you move the image outside of Lightroom, the program will not know where you moved it.

Lightroom is a complete work environment, it is not only an image editor. It ' their organizing photo and an organizer of workflow. The right way to approach Lightroom to get the expected benefit is to use it to manage all your images. I encourage you to look at some of the available Introduction videos to get a feel for the Lightroom workflow. It is not difficult, but it is different from the classic image editing programs.

I hope this is a help,

    Mike

  • Import of mini Mac iCloud photo sync problem

Whenever I have import pictures to my Mac mini via the SD card from a digital camera, the following occurs:

    • The photos are not visible on the Mac mini in the Photos tab app Photos - the device which is used to import from the SD card with the exception of two pictures that are visible in the Photos tab
      • Select Albums > import of the last and all the last import can be seen including the two visible photo in the Photos tab
      • The photos are not visible on iCloud.com in Safari on the Mac mini if the times tab is selected
        • Must select Albums > all Photos to see pictures
        • iCloud.com never stops updating
    • All photos are important in iCloud and are visible on the iOS devices in all THE PHOTOS

It's very recent behavior because before I could see all the pictures imported immediately on the Mac mini in the Photos tab. There is no way for me to move them to the Photos tab at this point. Perform another import does not correct the problem.

What must I do to get the process to work like before?

    Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure I understand you, but check the date on the camera.

  • Important not all VCF contacts

I had a timing problem, where almost every card has been duplicated, but all data; for example, for two cards, one would not be complete, but the other lacks State or, say, data from LinkedIn. I went through over 2,000 maps and fixed them. I exported all to a VCF 3.0 file and a Nobile backup file and deleted everything to get a fresh start.

What happens is that when you import the VCF, only the letters A and B are imported, but if I look at with a text editor, it has everyone from A to Z. A previous VCF - I exported at different times to keep a snapshot - which was named 'Contact e.a. 2459', done the same thing, just A and B.

The Nobile file has only one people and a text editor seems to confirm.

    Someone knows what's the problem?

I found I didn't lose their - I imported my iCloud contacts and I had all but 17. Thanks to the message that I don't know who are these 17, but right now, I don't like.

  • Import files aac audio does not

I'm unable to use audio files that I imported into Garageband on my iPad. They have imported in icloud fine but are greyed out (I have other files that work very well) and I don't and then drag them into a song.

These are files aac (.m4a) @ 320 kbps bitrate

    Any ideas?

In addition, on a sidenote is anyway to delete imported audio files because I was not able to understand it?

Your imported files are perhaps protected files?

  • Music imported from ITunes game

So I subscribed to iTunes game and none of my music shows imported on my other apple devices just the purchases maybe music 350 out of 1200 songs show. I checked the settings by other posts?

    Hello

You did the musical library of iCloud has been controlled in preferences. If so, what is the status of the imported tracks iCloud on iCloud library icons and status - Apple Support

    Jim

  • Large files of HDTracks no longer correspond to the import.

New file large songs/albums of HDTracks used for correspondence, but new additions no longer. ITunes will import and play, but they are not. I know files over 200 MB will not be transferred to iCloud, but they used to Match the iTunes versions.

The albums consisting of large files of M4a song used for correspondence when they are imported and those previously established correspondence are not matched, but new albums for the past 2-3 months no longer match when they are imported. "ICloud music library Update" seems to have no bearing on this.

The only work around I have found is a pain - I have to rip the HD to a CD album and then import that match CD, which creates duplicates that so successfully. I assume that this is because the file size is now less than 200 MB. So, while that gets songs paired and available on my other devices, I then two versions of each song on my computer for music, a quality HD and a quality one, CD which actually a pain to listen to the HD titles and manage music.

Why the change? Is there any solution for this?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Has there been a change? I can't say yes or no because I converted tracks using XLD ABA before adding them to iTunes. I use two libraries, a match that I use for my iPod / iPad, one for my HD and ALAC music I play through my stereo.

I think you answered this in your post in 2013 Re: why 88kHz/24 bit alac files ineligible to the upcoming game?

  • where are my pictures?

Been meaning to ask this for a while. Frankly, 'Photos' has me confused as to where are my photos and the relationship between the devices and iCloud. I hope someone can explain a simple explanation of how all this works.

I just Aperture, that I really enjoyed using. It is what it is. The point is I'm not from the iPhoto then terminology can also be confused me.

I have photos on my iPhone and the Photo on my Mac (also on my iPad, but let's not confuse things).

    On my Mac and iPhone:

    iCloud library is DISABLED

    My photo stream is running

    iCloud, photo sharing is on

So, I take a picture with my phone. It appears in the Camera Roll sections and my photo stream. He also appears on my desktop in 'Photos', 'Pictures' and 'My Photo Stream.'

So where is this photo? What happens if I delete it from one of these five "places"? Who removes it from all locations?

How to remove a photo from my phone only (which I consider temporary storage), but keep it on my desktop (which I consider permanent storage)?

Now I drag this photo to an album on the desktop program. He appears in the sixth position. Did it change anything? Can I remove one of the locations on my phone and still keep the file on my desktop? Can I remove one of the areas of program funds (apart from "all Photos") and just keep it in the folder I dragged in?

Conversely, what should I do if I want to delete the picture from all devices? What I have to delete in several place?

I have disabled the automatic opening Photos when the iPhone is connected - there is no pictures to import, because they seem to all be imported via iCloud. I always thought that transferred iCloud only a version low resolution via Photo Stream and you should always you connect and import for the version full resolution. Has this changed?

We create a shared album where many people add photos to an event. We can see all the photos in the shared album. But where are these pictures? Should I have a permanent copy on my desktop? Can someone delete one I added pictures? If so, it get deleted from my computer? What happens if someone deletes a photo, they added? What is removed from my office? If I drag all the photos in the album shared to another local album, which records a permanent copy on my desktop?

When I take pictures with my SLR, it's simple... import map in 'Photos' (well, almost simple - I have to import using the Image Capture to remove the low resolution jpeg files if only RAW files are imported.) Otherwise I have to manually edit each photo in RAW in pictures, one by one).

Would really like to have a better understanding of how it all is designed to operate.

    Hey Joe,

I don't know if I can answer all your questions, but you're ready in a similar way to the way I am, so I'll tell you what I know:

    Joe M21 wrote:

I just Aperture, that I really enjoyed using. It is what it is. The point is I'm not from the iPhoto then terminology can also be confused me. To the best of my knowledge, opening use the iPhoto library, the terminology should be similar. I always use iPhoto and Aperture as well as Photos on my Mac.

I have pictures on my Mac and on my iPhone (also on my iPad, but let's not confuse things). The iOS and Mac app for photos now all have the same name - Photos.

    On my Mac and iPhone:

iCloud library is ON me too

My photo stream is ON Yup

iCloud, sharing photos is ON Yup

In addition, since you indicate below that your camera photos see the place at all three places on the Mac, and then in the pictures on the Mac under Photos app > Preferences > General, it seems that you have also the possibility in respect of the importation of 'Copy items to the photo library' turned on

The photo is saved on your device (in the iPhone photo library), as well as on your Mac to Mac photo library. There is a library in each place. As you do use icloud library (which is a great shared library between all devices and computers signed on the same account iCloud with iCloud as library lit), each device and Mac each have a photo library.

How to remove a photo from my phone only (which I consider temporary storage), but keep it on my desktop (which I consider permanent storage)? Since you are Importing enabled in the application Photos on Mac, you can delete the photo from your iPhone photo library and it will have no effect on the photo library on your Mac

There is only one library in each place. One on the phone on the iPad, Mac. The photo stream is separated because it is designed to share photos between devices, so the removal of a photo of the film on your phone it will not erase the photo stream. And if you delete a photo from your photo stream it won't remove it from your camera roll. The photos that are in albums can be deleted without affecting the flow of pictures or film. An album is just a file that points to the different pictures of your library. When you delete a photo from an Album, you simply remove the pointer, not the photo itself. The same principle applies to the structure of the photo on the Mac.

I have disabled the automatic opening Photos when the iPhone is connected - there is no pictures to import, because they seem to all be imported via iCloud. I always thought that transferred iCloud only a version low resolution via Photo Stream and you should always you connect and import for the version full resolution. Has this changed? I think that the los-res, full resolution refers to photo library from iCloud, not photo stream. To the best of my knowledge, the photos that are imported into the photo stream Mac are images in full resolution. I used to have configured iPhoto to automatically import my photos Photo Stream as well.

Photos and what is done with them in a shared photo stream has no effect on any of your libraries. Shared photos are all housed in iCloud, but do not count against your storage iCloud and will stay there until they are deleted by you or a contributor deletes them. Here is a support article that might give a clearer idea of how the shared photo streams process works: iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ - Apple Support

Not sure about the part of the camera. I import directly into the Photos app with my 35mm digital camera. Because I'm not deeply in the treatment of the image, so am not familiar with RAW images... (sorry).

But I hope that the explanations of the structures is a little clearer. Post back with any questions!

  • How to import only 1 album to icloud on ipad - instead of all my pictures from the last 10 years

I recently returned from a trip - I took about 600 photos on my iphone that I put in an album and want to show it to my family. They are uploaded to icloud (I got a plan of 200 GB in total about 20 000 photos/videos) and sorted into an album I created.

I would like to get this album on my ipad (which currently has no pictures on this topic) to show everyone. How only import album 1 of icloud on my ipad? It seems that I have all of 2006 - present or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you enable iCloud library then Yes each photo will be added to your iPad.

As an alternative just activate iCloud photo sharing on the iPad, also enable it on the phone (no need to disable iCloud photo library on the phone if you do not want), create a shared album using photos from your last vacation, you should then be able to view them on the iPad
