Go to your video, select, then press 'next', then select embed videos in timeline, press 'next' in the drop-down list select Movie Clip, press 'next', select the quality and all that, then finished... your film will be on scene within a clip..., double-click the movie into the clip...   Are you sure, that the file saved to the desktop is an image?. The file name extension .m4v suggests it's a video. Try to double click on it. It should play. Part e the name of the name of the file will always be IMG, when you import from an iPhone, the file name extension is what counts.
