Importer of Media FAQ

Hello

This is my first post here but I am a regular user for some time.

After a thorough examination and search, I was unable to find info about my experience importing media, so here I am looking for an answer...

First of all, what I know so far:

(1) this is a smart tool, it monitors any change in the files and copy those to the media center automatically...

(2) everything that is copied is indexed on the file to import in the hub, and indexing itself can be very well set by entering the friendly name and: 9000 to go directly to the twonky media server in any browser... Although it does not move the files indexed to its respective folders ('sighs') there is also no harm done myself...

(3) starting at page twonky I can also set individual 'who' my custom folders will accept "what" type of files, reduced to music/videos/images or files.

Therefore, my questions are simple...

(1) is the importer to monitor changes in the tags to change and replace these files because there are updates of the music files? or that he's just looking new files and deleted copy/delete? for example, my iTunes library is in evolution/growth/change constantly, so I fail to notice these updates on the server after the import process, requiring a manual crash by a third-party software to apply these changes in the already copied files...

(2) is it possible to automate the import process on which the extensions go to folders? or to determine a unique to be also monitored and copied file extension?

(3) if I move the files imported into their respective places in the hub, the indexing will keep intact, so just copy what has been changed?

All for now and thanks in advance for any given idea

Sincerely,

VonKarajan

And the word of the day is looking...

Some considerations about what I gathered after your post...

(1) what I could say, Yes, it monitors metadata and changes made to the files, but not files, and here's where starts the pain... I could understand this once I have imported all my library, each change little (probably monitored by file size) is rearranged immediately, and it includes the artist/genre/year etc as well... The problem is, when I reorganize all file, change the folders where they are subject, the tool important the new folder and KEEP OLD FILES it cause me a HUGE headache that I have over 60,000 songs in my PC...

(2) bad to write a whole paragraph about the NTI, keep reading

(3) if I move a file in the import folder in the music folder for example, guess what? The file that I moved is copied from my PC... It's crazy and totally against an importer of what should be... This tool is supposed to keep my structure of music from the PC to the intact NAS without forcing me to do it manually, because to do this, the Explorer windows will be enough, savvy? So I do not understand the meaning of this tool to all the...

and here is the full price... Hi NTI Shadow...

Let me be honest with you, I didn't have to comply with this program I have a large suite backup running in my PC full time and it does the job with exceptional quality, but I tried it after u suggested me to do this and Mr President, I was not disappointed... For all other consumers out there who want a solution like I did, please heed my advice: FORGET the IMPORTER TOOL! NTI is the way to go... It is not as user-friendly as point-click-do, but with a minor modification it can meet your needs. A brief tutorial to make it work as the best import tool EVER: (sorry if options and the names of the keys are not too accurate, as my software is in Portuguese, and if I can translate them evil never know for sure the original name the developers placed in the English version and also found no option to restore NTI interface to mother tongue I rather...)

-Create a new backup job

-Click options, and then select the audio files in the first step and "include only" in the 2nd. Press OK

-now always on the same page, select your folder music as my music in the users directory. Ahead of the press.

-the next page will ask you to write down your backup destination. My NAS is recognized by my PC as a player affected as Y so I chose "Y:\. "and nothing else. Do not select the music NAS as file its will write a new folder named 'music' inside the music, one... On the calendar, see "backup every time that the archives be changed in your PC"... Go to the next page...

-"Check not to save old versions of the same archive" and click on options. Check ONLY 'remove those backups are deleted from your computer "press OK and go to the next page...

-Create a friendly name to your business and click "done" and here, the media importer best and smartest ever to grace on the outskirts of wonderland windows!

Here's what you get... Remove a file from itunes and its removed from the NAS automatically... Change tags and 10 seconds later, that files are being updated in the server... reorganize files in NMS records, rename folders or even re-create full-trees and the 'old' are deleted and replaced by the new in seconds... I guess that's the end of the media nightmare, I hope, for a lot of people willing to make the most of their hard earned cash...

and afterwards... Why in the name of Almighty God we tool import if NTI does work 100 times better? and I miserably failed don't understand why linksys does not include these explanations in the user manual... If the company aims to be the center of my living room it would not hurt to at least try a little explanation on how to explore the features that will make me a believer...

but as the ill keep buying from them (the quality and reliability speak for themselves) as I've done so long, my complaints probably won't be weight too after all...

and thank you again my friend for the insight... It was the Sin Equa Non solve my problem...

Sincerely,

VonKarajan

  • Premiere Pro freezes when you import MTS media

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Premiere Pro when you import MTS media.

Last week, I had no problem with this situation. The files are very large, 4 hours of images and about 20 GB, no problem with the import and export, not even an offset when editing.

But for the past 4 days, I had this problem with the same videos, I try to import their dragging and everything but my guard freezing program and then crashing, I can't with other video formats, just the Multilateral trading system, I work with. I read a bunch of solutions, but they do not work for me. I tried to uninstall and install the first, but nothing. I think it had to do with the last Adobe cloud update, but I'm not sure.

IM using Windows 10, but as I said before, this has not happened before. I don't know what to do, I hope someone can help me, please.

Thank you all for the help, you are kind enough to help me.

I contacted Adobe support and they told me it was a problem with the update, and it would be fixed by the following.

What I did to just reinstall the previous version. The MTS files worked smoothly, do not freeze import.

I appreciate your help and the time you took to answer my question.

    Thank you for everything.

  • Import of media browser and what is the meaning of ' compliant audio "for Premiere Pro

The resolution of the problems of audio dropout there are a few recommendations:

1 is to import via media browser. I always do this, but what is the difference between that and "importer" via the file menu or drag / drop to the level of the finder/Explorer?

2 is to "wait for the audio to be similar." What does that mean? Historically consistent referred to the construction of an online version (high resolution) of a sequence of 'offline' version of lower resolution. It is rare to comply audio as it was captured in general integral quality as well as much smaller than video space considerations.

I do see the "PIC file generation" that occur and disabled it automatically generate because it takes so much time and consumes so many resources.

What is Adobe medium by audio "in line"? I do not see what to do (unless there's a lower quality cover, built for some reason any?)

    Thanks for any information

1 tapeless media took us two steps forward, but also a step backwards.  Instead of a single file per clip containing audio, video, time and metadata code (what we had with DV), plus all formats enter a folder stupid and often labyrinthine structure.  Sometimes the video and audio in a single file, sometimes is not.  But even when they are, most of the cameras will write several files for longer clips (called covering), because they still use the seriously outdated FAT32 file system, which can create files up to 4 GB.  Some cameras will even write each image as an individual file.

Given this mess, try to change some of these formats by using the method of normal import will create havoc with your clips in PP.  Adobe solution is the media browser, who can understand the stupidass records and bring in the clips as if they were correctly created - one file for each clip containing audio, video, code time and metadata.

  • An easy way to re-import massive media after a hard disk crash if the library files are intact?

    Hello

I'm running 10.2.3 on OS X 10.11.3 FCPX. My external hard drive just crashed, and while I was able to save most everything else (including library files, proxy support, etc.), Miss me about 90% of the media about 2 000 "original" files. Because the library files have been saved, it seems that my projects seem to be intact, including the cuts and changes. Since FCPX knows what files and parts of files were previously imported, import should be easy... except for the fact that there are about 1 800 distributed clips on dozens of camera archives.

Is there a way to 'massive re-import' office where he knows the clips came, without having to wade through thousands of clips in dozens of archives and manually by clicking on each of them? Because there is also the fact that, due to several archives of the camera used, different are multiple "Clip #1", "Clip #2", etc. that FCP is solved by adding a number at the end (for example, "Clip #1 (fcp1)" and "Clip #1 (fcp2)"). " I'm afraid that if I import everything in disorder (maybe I not initially import a clip, but returned later and get it), I'll have to sift through to find a needle in a haystack and rename the files manually.

Even if I have to specify the locations of these archives of tens of couple, it would be so much easier than having to go into each of them and click 1 800 files manually... Any suggestions?

    Please and thank you!

Too bad. I had assumed the import > reimportation of the camera wasn't working, but apparently because I had saved the AVCHD archives on my hard drive via the Finder instead of 'Create the Archives' of in Final Cut, he just didn't see them. Creating new archives of these same AVCHD files (or rather the folders 'PRIVATE' which originally housed them on the SD card) did the trick and I was able to reimport. Alternatively, I could have re-recorded these SD cards PRIVATE folders and it would have identified those as the original 'camera' once again, too and I could have reimported it... but who would be tedious.

  • It cannot remove the files imported in Media Center in Windows 7 Media Center!

Today, I created folders Win 7 Media Center of Vista Media Center in the hope of being able to watch some TV recorded in Win 7. Does not work and more than 1000 files and folders cases imported into Vista. I have the ability to delete "existing" files in the Vista Media Center. All imported records do not give me the option to right-click and delete! Help!

    Hi stur2009,

Method 1: You can delete these folders to be monitored by Windows Media Center. To do this, follow the steps below

    (a) on the Windows Media Center start screen, navigate to tasks, and then click settings.

    (b) select the library configuration.

    (c) select stop watching a folder , and then select Next.

    (d) uncheck the folders you want Windows Media Center to stop watching, and select Next.

    (e) in the next screen, select Finish .

Method 2: You can manually delete the files imported from the original location on the Windows Vista-based computer.

You can see the article below, which deals with a similar question

A multimedia file or its content remains in the media library after you select the option to stop to look at the record in Windows Media Center in Windows Vista

  • EPG 7 import windows media center using loadMXF

    Hello

I am trying to import data from an external MXF file in MC7, I'm following the instructions on the page to format media center guide here:
    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd776338.aspx

I use the loadMXF command, the command gives no error and says '100% done' and everything looks ok, the only problem is, I don't see the channels/guide services in Media Center or even in the Guide Tool (http://1geek1tool.com/guidetool).

Using c# and some of MC7 DLLs, I can open Bank of the media center DB file and list the features, the queues, channels and Services, by doing so, I can see that the MXF file data imported and I can see the GET new range added to queues and queues list merged , and the new channels and services get, but they are not available in the Media Center itself, I tried subscribing programming for devices using "WmisLineups.Add (Lineup);" and properly, it gets added to the list of WmisLineups, but again, the programming is not displayed in MC or tool Guide.

I tried to re-indexing queues using ehPrivJob.exe /DoReindexSearchRoot, but again, no luck.

So my question is, what am I missing here? All I want is to be able to choose the channels imported as guide services in ' channel Edit > modify registration. "

    I hope someone can help,

    Thank you.

I am trying to import media through the Media Browser, and it is not available.

  • Low quality when importing through Media Go album art

When the album art is added manually in Media Go, it is scaled to 640 x 640 and recompressed in a<150 kb="" image="" with="" 4:2.0="" chroma="">

The result seen on a smartphone with a screen high resolution range from disappointing to terrible. On the Xperia Z3 with the current application of the Walkman for example, album art is displayed on screen to 787 x 787. 640 x 640 would end up a bit soft but acceptable, but with the extreme comrpession it looks hideous.

During extraction of music FLAC or high flow MP3 or AAC, it is not essential to this work be compressed as much. When I prepare the album art I resize it to 787 x 787 and save it in the format JPEG with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, and depending on the complexity of the art and the setting of the quality, the result usually ends up range from 200 KB to 400 kB. This gives a perfectly acceptable quality to this resolution and is of a reasonable size in 2015.

I don't know why Media Go emphasizes the art of recompression in quality of phone service mid-' 00s era. But I would like the possibility to embed the original JPEG Media Go ' such what» Currently, I have to go through the music with Mp3tag to replace art. It works, but then I have to close Media Go to avoid conflicts of files.

Let the Media Go fetch worst Gracenote art still produce results.

Don't know why photos are put on the scale / compressed in a way but as you say, it's probably because of the size and compatibility for Media Go is used for many different devices. Currently I can only recommend that you use your current solution or use another software to rip your CD.

  • First is not importing AAF Media Composer 7

First CC crashes when you try to import the MC7 .aaf, so I tried with CS6, that does not work either. (on Windows 7)

Then I tested it with Mac. Here import started but then aborted with an error 'generic' (the reaction is the same to CS6 and CC)

The sequence must be imported as it will be evaluated with SpeedGrade.

Does anyone else have this problem?

a software patch or by-pass would be greatly appreciated!

I found a temporary solution. Roll back to 7.0 solves the problem.

  • Automatic import of titles from Walkman to Media Go

    Hello

If I add a song to my Walkman from a computer where my Media Go is NOT installed (for example via a computer Mac USB mass storage mode), Media Go detects the new track, the next time I connect the device and automatically import the Media Go library folder? (I have the "Import and backup" option checked in the settings of the device Media Go...)

I actually read the FAQ of Go Media, but I felt it was a little unclear on what would be imported (made it seem like only photos, Sony Music Canada store purchases, etc., would be imported, but not sure about NON-sony store music titles...)

    Thank you!

  • iMovie 10.1.2 media imported not in events

iMovie on Macbook pro mid 13 "mid 2012 10.11.6 OS 10.1.2 I spent several evenings import of media from a digital camcorder.  All imported media appears in various projects on the page of the project window.  Can I review and change.  But this isn't in the event library and the project does not appear in the movie library.  There are old imported items in previous iterations of iMovie.  I'm totally confused.  I tried to read the documentation.  Also, I don't get the dialog to select a theme.  I tried to create a movie in a new library on a new disc and still can't find a media.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi, KathleenH,

Your projects appear in the form of projects, which means they are in your iMovie library.   In Finder, click your movies folder, and then Ctrl-click on the iMovie library folder, then display the contents of the package.   You should then see a list of all your projects.  Do not disturb or change anything either or you disrupt the structure of the library and potentially cause corruption of the library.

In iMovie itself, go to the media browser and select iMovie library in the pane displayed on the left of your screen.  Click on the small triangle to the left of the iMovie library menu item and must display a list of your projects as well.  It cannot present all of them, but no matter.

    Best,

    Rich

  • Do I need to import in order to export my final product as optimized media as media optimized?

    Hello FCPX community!

Please let me know if my reasoning is correct here:

When I upload images that the original and proxy, which means that I can see the project in one of these two codec I'm editing. When I export the final result as Apple Pro Res 422 or more, the exported project will be visible as media optimized.

I do not need to import as media optimized in order to export as optimized media. Import as an optimized media only allows me to see the project as optimized media that I am editing.

    Am I wrong?

I uploaded a bunch of images in my project as original and proxy, and the project is now nearly complete. The problem here is that if I need to transcode all media optimized, there are a lot of images and will take much time because I recorded several hours in 4 k footage. I have an old Mac here at work...

    Thank you for your time.

I do not need to import as media optimized in order to export as optimized media.

That is right. If you export a master file in ProRes, you export what has basically optimized media.
