  I got a deal of my new carrier for two new BlackBerry for the price of a more expensive. So I got a 9700 "BOLD", then my wife receives a Pearl 9100. Now, previously, we used two different phones, she was using a Nokia 3500C (GSM), while I was using a Motorola KRZR K1M CDMA (). I tried port both of our lists of contacts from phone above.

  First, I tried to copy the contacts to my wife in the Nokia SIM card. I then put the SIM card in its new BB, and it would not read the SIM card. I guess that's because BB is locked to a specific carrier. My carrier unlock our phones until we've been with them 3 months, that use me at the moment.

  Then I simply imported contacts into our PC with Nokia Software and then saved your contacts file to *. CSV format. I also did the same thing on my Motorola, with the Motorola software and also recorded one *. CSV file. When I tried to read the two contacts in the Blackberry Desktop Manager, he returned with an error:

  Error has occurred. Error code: 0 x 80040057.

  I think it has something to do with some of the fields that exist in a phone but not the other. I would have thought that their Intellisync software would know how to take care of this? It's the exact message even if I don't speak of contacts from the old phone to Motorola or the old Nokia phone.

  Difficulties:
  1. When you try to add the new contact/s for the contacts list
  2. When you try to delete a contact from my contact list.
  3. on both occasions when I press on save tracking is displayed;

  I had / have not experienced problems when you add or remove contacts in the past, however, there are trying to add a contact three days I could not as described.

  It would be appreciated if this problem could now be fixed.

RIM wants to charge me like $ 75 for technical support on this * beep *. When they need to purge the profile for applications, because they continue to occur. -Why I would accept these if they come through spam... the PIN isn't on the web anywhere, it's a security issue RIM must address.

  Is it possible to do this is to use a PIM on the PC to manage information and configure a USB attached sync to keep the BB and desktop in sync PIM.

  Hello, can someone tell me if there is a way to edit my "BOLD" directory with the Desktop Manager?  It would be so much faster and easier to add contacts, etc if I could connect the blackberry to my computer and modify it from my computer keyboard.  Also how could import the data of the phonebook from my Motorola Razr to the Blackberry so I have all my contacts to re-enter manually?  Thank you.

  You cannot change the contacts of the Office Manager.

  However, you can synchronize Outlook contacts to the Blackberry through Desktop Manager.

  To transfer contacts from the Razor motorcycle on the Blackberry, you can use the switch device Wizard.

  You can try this.

  First make a backup of your address book.

  Then go to the email account and sync turn off Contact wireless > open your address book or Contacts > press the Menu key > Options > on this type of screen " rset ", it can warn you that it will wipe your contacts list > click Yes to continue.

  Once it's done, go to the account that you use to synchronize your Contact list and ACTIVATE e-mail wireless synchronization of Contact. It will fill your return address book.

  I am a relatively new user of Blackberry (4 months).  I sync my Blackberry Curve 8330 with Outlook 2007 on a windows using Blackberry Desktop v 5.0.  While the right of the logic of the calendar synchronization, the contacts are not.  It seems that when I sync Outlook to the Blackberry, it just seems to ADD contacts, rather than MERGE them.  You can imagine that it means that the number of contacts on my Blackberry keeps on growing, with obvious duplicates.

  Note: I don't '1 way', that I need not change on my contacts on the Blackberry transfer to Outlook.  It's a one-way street.  In addition, I know the work around - from time to time, I'm doing a "replace contents" when I synchronize so that all of the contacts on the Blackberry are deleted and new Outlook contacts are transferred.  Because I have about 4000 contacts, he is a rather slow process, and I don't want to do it every time.

  Does anyone know how to store, and most importantly USE more than one address of a contact on a Pearl running 4.3.0.127 software?  BB is a great email management tool, but it has a major drawback because I can store only one of the e-mail addresses of the person, unless I'm willing to have several contact entries in the address book for a person.  I can't store a person working address, home address and phone, let alone address addresses for both phones. Since I was with Sprint and SPRINT software FORCES of e-mail TO SEND PICTUREMAIL on someone of OTHER PHONE, it IS EVEN MORE a PROBLEM!

  No offense... it's very easy to do. Go to your address book -> hoghlight a contact and click the Menu button-> change -> click on the Menu button and select Add an email address. You did!

  You can add up to 3 email addresses.

  On this screen, press the Menu key > database sizes and you'll scroll through address book and numbers to the right will be the number of contacts in your address book.

  Hi, I'm new to the forum so hope I'm on the set of law. My 9500 Storm had "the catastrophic assertion failure" and is completely unusable.   I tried to add contacts to my contact list. After I added one, I press 'save', then it goes to my list of contacts and says "no contacts". What I am doing wrong?

  Looks like a filter can be activated. Address book, click the wheel and go to filter. Clear all that is checked. If none of your contacts are associated with a filter, it's probably why you didn't see anything in the address book
