  Me seems to currently have 3 occurrences of my Office on my BB contacts list, so I get 3 entries for most of my contacts and I get no name of the person when people call showing just the company name, very frustrating having to select the list of contacts to the right whenever I go into the contacts on my phone.

  Any ideas how to remove the other 2 copies of the list of contacts?

  I got a deal of my new carrier for two new BlackBerry for the price of a more expensive. So I got a 9700 "BOLD", then my wife receives a Pearl 9100. Now, previously, we used two different phones, she was using a Nokia 3500C (GSM), while I was using a Motorola KRZR K1M CDMA (). I tried port both of our lists of contacts from phone above.

  First, I tried to copy the contacts to my wife in the Nokia SIM card. I then put the SIM card in its new BB, and it would not read the SIM card. I guess that's because BB is locked to a specific carrier. My carrier unlock our phones until we've been with them 3 months, that use me at the moment.

  Then I simply imported contacts into our PC with Nokia Software and then saved your contacts file to *. CSV format. I also did the same thing on my Motorola, with the Motorola software and also recorded one *. CSV file. When I tried to read the two contacts in the Blackberry Desktop Manager, he returned with an error:

  Error has occurred. Error code: 0 x 80040057.

  I think it has something to do with some of the fields that exist in a phone but not the other. I would have thought that their Intellisync software would know how to take care of this? It's the exact message even if I don't speak of contacts from the old phone to Motorola or the old Nokia phone.

  Same thing when I try to import the calendar entries too.

  You can try this.

  First make a backup of your address book.

  Then go to the email account and sync turn off Contact wireless > open your address book or Contacts > press the Menu key > Options > on this type of screen " rset ", it can warn you that it will wipe your contacts list > click Yes to continue.

  Once it's done, go to the account that you use to synchronize your Contact list and ACTIVATE e-mail wireless synchronization of Contact. It will fill your return address book.

  Please help me: How do I know the amount of contacts stored in my BB Torch 9800? Seems that they are different from the saved in Outlook. In fact, I was not able to match the two of them. I am retired from my company and myself.

  Look at the Options > device > Service status.

  On this screen, press the Menu key > database sizes and you'll scroll through address book and numbers to the right will be the number of contacts in your address book.

  So, what is the difference in your BlackBerry contacts and those in Outlook? How much is not synchronization more?

  Old version of what? Or, you did not said whether the app.

  Remove it first and make sure that your address book returns functional.

  I suggest consult you google sync, it must synchronize live contacts.

  You can't save your contacts on the press card.

  Sync via bluetooth to your PC is also a good option.

  I am a relatively new user of Blackberry (4 months).  I sync my Blackberry Curve 8330 with Outlook 2007 on a windows using Blackberry Desktop v 5.0.  While the right of the logic of the calendar synchronization, the contacts are not.  It seems that when I sync Outlook to the Blackberry, it just seems to ADD contacts, rather than MERGE them.  You can imagine that it means that the number of contacts on my Blackberry keeps on growing, with obvious duplicates.

  Note: I don't '1 way', that I need not change on my contacts on the Blackberry transfer to Outlook.  It's a one-way street.  In addition, I know the work around - from time to time, I'm doing a "replace contents" when I synchronize so that all of the contacts on the Blackberry are deleted and new Outlook contacts are transferred.  Because I have about 4000 contacts, he is a rather slow process, and I don't want to do it every time.

  You should have a SOUND profile icon. Click that and then scroll down to SET ring TONE ALERTS. A click on that and the settings. Be sure to SAVE before you back out.

• Recovery of blackBerry Smartphones to wipe it accidental loss of data

  I use a Blackberry Bold 9700 with corporate email server.    Company applies a window 5 minutes before the beginning of password.

  Today I took out my phone and there is no password entry, but my contacts and a phone log is empty, I can not access the SMS, MMS messages and my work emails all say

  My hypothesis is that I somehow "seizure Pocket" 10 bad passwords and caused a security wipe.

  I reported this to my company and they told me to activate the corporate email server once again and gave me an activation code.    I entered my work email and the code and selected activate.  Then, I get a white screen.   Its been about an hour, so I think that something does not work.

  I noticed that there is a place for a "the activation server address" in the "activation code".     Is this something that I need to get the company?    I see that in the original activitation ticket all they gave me was the activation code.

  What I suggest is that work you with your BES admins because they are they really in control. You can wipe your BB again and then re - try activation.

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  There is no "balackberry site' that you can access your data from. I guess since you were not clear, but I guess you mean that you have active BB Protect and back up your data and you must have access to it for the interim. The only way to access these data must have a different BB that you connect to the same BBID and restore from protect these data. There is no other method to access these data.

  Of course, that's why Protect is an excellent part of a good backup strategy, but should not IMHO be depended on as the single component.

  My automatic synchronizion of WLM contacts appears to have stopped.  "Wireless synchronization" is always checked (WLM contacts are associated with my hotmail address, who is still alive and well on my BB).  Does anyone have any idea why synchronization is stopped and what to do about it (unless you uninstall and then reinstall my hotmail account).

  I suspect something in my BB to do with WLM, became corrupt.  I deleted my account hotmail to my BB, then reinstalled and now it syncs as it should.

  I have Bold 9780 which stood on the BES, but now its not activated BES service has been terminated. now I want to export all my contacts to csv format on another format that i can import another place. When I connect to BB Desktop > Organizer > the contacts option is grayed out (wireless sync). How can I achieve this? is it possible to extract the worm 5 BES Server? If I activate gmail on the same device, is possible to synchronize directly to gmail?

  I don't think that this is possible in native mode, but you may be able to use the free application called advance OS and LED. It's a whole bunch of stuff like that.
