  I am completely new to edge code. I downloaded it today to give it a try I code in html, css and javascript using much less and Jade.

  Edge code is a re-branding of media which is currently in version 0.37, but parentheses is currently at 0.44, so I suspect you are trying to install the versions of the extensions that are too recent (i.e. download zip file gives you later by default). You can switch to the brackets (http://brackets.io) or try to determine the correct version of each extension for media Sprint 37 (which was released March 17, 2014).

  According to the reference manual pdf for 2015 of CC, there are instructions for download, install and using the extension AIR to deploy sites like AiR apps.  I see other people in the past (2012-2013) has had some problems, search the forums, but couldn't find a resolution (or at least one which is currently running).  This support is dead?

  The PDF for Dreamweaver reference manual is a confusing patchwork of old and new information. Although the information on the new features are usually added, detailed information about the features that have been removed there are still survive. Dreamweaver has more support to build AIR applications.

  I use XP Profesional SP3 and when I try to install Dreamweaver CS3 I get to Adobe initialization configuration dialog box and it stops after the bar has filled. Setup stops during execution-i checked in the Task Manager

My server host (HostGator) has me download FileZilla for help, yet, so I'm not a computer person will have a difficult time to get more. Anyone have any experience with that can offer assistance? It would be most appreciated. Thank you!

  Go to Site > new Site > DW to tell it where your Site on your hard drive folder.

  Example: C:\YourSiteName.  See screenshot.

• is it legal to install and use the old registered version of Dreamweaver CS3

  Just try to clarify this point, I felt that I could use my old registered version of Dreamweaver CS3. In fact, I downloaded and installed in June. Our audit software now reported installation as invalid and wonder for a purchase budget. We are a volume license site, if that makes a difference. Thank you

  You may be using Extension Manager CS6 which will only recognize CS6 adobe apps? Either you use Dreamweaver CC 2015 which supports any of the two versions of the extension manager. We're heading the creative cloud app for the facilities now.

  You can not. Serial numbers are platform specific and platform swaps are available only for the current version which is CS6. CS3 is also too old to qualify for an upgrade so that your only options are buy CS6 or subscribe to the creative Cloud of Dreamweaver version.

  Absolutely not. You're misinterpreting things. Activation does not happen when you simply run the installer, although later. This means that what he says - there is another 'install' pending / assets on your system, which means somewhere, there is a process (invisible) always blocking things.   If you have a problem dl'g, you don't follow all 7 steps.  the most common mistake is not meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).
