Impossible to open a link to a Web site in word 2013, windows 7 pro

I have a word in 2013 to Word doc.  Hyperlinks in emails open correctly in Outlook, but produce links to a Web site: "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action.  Install a program, or if it is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel. "When I click OK to this, I get"an unexpected error has occurred"popup."

My default browser is Chrome, I tried to change the file associations by default for .htm, .html and .url as a result of reading similar posts, but no luck so far.

This is part of an important document for an official website, but I have no way of knowing whether or not the file would be opened for a site Viewer.

Click Start, select default programs
Click settings by default access and computer program Set
Click Custom, and then select Google Chrome

Click OK

Then, follow these steps:

Click set your default programs
Select Google Chrome from the list
Click set this program as default
Click OK

  • I can't open mailto links in external Web sites.

When I click on an e-mail link in some sites, it is said there is no application to open the mailto link. I went in the help menus, where I am asked to find the mailto function and add an application. It has no mailto feature in the list, so I can't link an application. It seems that my firefox has no knowledge of mailto. I don't get one local yahoo like any other. What should I do? I have Firefox 20.0.1and gmail and windows 7.

Then in the dialog box Options, Applications Panel, mailto does not appear or is not any choice? This could indicate that the settings file that stores download actions is corrupt. Because its format is somewhat cryptic, the standard drug in this situation is to rename if Firefox cannot find and then a new one will be automatically generated.

    Here's how:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • Menu help > troubleshooting information

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • File menu > exit

Pause while Firefox finishing his cleaning, then rename the mimeTypes.rdf to something like mimeTypes.old

Launch Firefox back up again. Mailto appears in the Options?

The next time go you on Yahoo he expected to trigger Firefox to display an information bar between the lower part of the toolbar and the top of the page to add the latest version of its mailto handler.

    A little luck?

  • When I try to open a link in a Web site, an endless series of blank pages appear. This does not happen if I use Safari.

I received a message saying that Firefox has a broken link and Firefox on my Mac dock icon has changed to a piece of paper with a ruler, a pencil and brush.

Try the solution in this thread for the pencil icon:

    • [883573/questions/883573]
    • Remove the Firefox icon from the dock.
    • Create a new icon by dragging the Firefox application to the dock.

You may have gotten this one pop up in the past and checked the box to always use this choice.

You need to remove this action in ' Firefox > Preferences > Applications "or delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all the actions file if you can't find it in" Firefox > Preferences > Applications.

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file
  • Windows 7 (64 bit) cannot open the links in a Web site

I found the answer to this and I tried the solution, but maybe I am doing something wrong because it does not work for me.   I have Win 7 64 bit OS.  Internet Explorer is broken to 32-bit.  I tried to do IE (64-bit), the default value, but it wouldn't let me.    So I go to a website and if there is a link there I can't open it.  I have to right click then copy the shortcut and then paste and enter.     Is there another solution?   Is there a way to make 64-bit by default or should I just use firefox?   Thank you

I'm trying to properize the links within the Web site to reflect the capitilzation correct landing page, - in the Web site.

Thousands of links within a site .php was converted incorrectly. I need to change the links and not pages. I'm looking for a way THROUGH CC Dreamweaver or any method so I did not haave to change them manually.

    Recommendations or thoughts?

I just talked to my host, and there is no option to make non case sensitive links... Strange because I searched I found some linux servers claim to have this option, perhaps not. . I think that what I'll do is just to change Windows hosting, as I hear it. Most of the site is just happy and will never need anything in particular, who need Linux or other

  • Problem with pdf for the opening of the health gov Web site.

Problem with pdf for the opening of the health gov Web site. I use my ipad in Safari and have installed the application to adobreader. Healthcare gov support only suggested to disable the pop-up blocker. I did, and I couldn't always open the file. No problem on a desktop computer regardless of the browser.

In my view, they spend on their web server to a document ECM server authentication. Someone else has the problem?

I tried the Penguin, Chrome and Atomic browsers on the ipad and the same issue.

    Thank you!

Okay, actually, I think that there is a problem with the type of form. It is a form of a special kind (called a form XFA or Designer, for what it's worth), which can be opened with Adobe Reader and only on Mac or Windows. There is no iPad software that can read these.

  • Cannot open links in pdf Web sites

When I click on a link to a pdf file in the Web sites, a window opens showing me records in my own office. PDF files will open very well when I use Explorer, so it is unique to FF. My version is up-to-date

Could you go to see how Firefox is set to handle PDF files? It seems that you might have configured to automatically record.

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > Applications

The loading list may take a while. Once it loads, type or paste PDF in the search box above the list and pause while Firefox filter. Then, on the side right, could you try another option?
