Impossible to reconnect the VPN to ASA on the internet

I ASA5540 running IOS 8.04 - K8, users are able to the VPN connection over the internet but impossible to reconnect the VPN when users disconnected abnormally (abnormally means they are not manually disconnect, VPN disconnect everything manually without problem occur). ASA showing an active session of the disconnected user and the user having reason 433 at the re-login VPN.

Any suggestion and recommendation for this case.

    My problems:

    I use ASDM 5.2 to configure the router of the SAA. With the configuration I currently have my linksys is not able to establish a VPN connection. The journal of ASA reported via the ASDM is as shown in the attachment ciscolog.txt.

    My linksys journal is as listed in the attachment linksyslog.txt.

    I also tried to create a Cisco VPN client connection using the cisco client software and a laptop connected directly to the internet port of the router cisco (port 0) and was not able to establish a connection with that either. I used the wizard of ASDM VPN to try to implement the Site-site as well as the scenarios of connection remotely. This has been unsuccessful in both cases.

    The only one, I am really interested in getting to work is the site to site.

    My current configuration of cisco is shown in the attachment cisco.txt.

    If anyone has any input I would appreciate it a lot. I have been through the manuals of cisco as to scouring the internet and am unable to find an answer.

    I enclose 3 files, cisco log (ciscolog.txt), linksys (linksyslog.txt) log and config cisco (cisco.txt) in the form of text files.

  • Impossible to access the internet using WAG 160N wireless adapter

    I have connected my WAG 160N to internet via ethernet cable to my PC Windows xp pci card, but when trying wireless connect to a spare PC, using Netgear WG311 adapter wirelesspci in the spare wheel, although I get a 100% signal, I can't connect to the internet.

I've grown using the spare to WAG 160n and installed the adapter connect pc wireless in my spare pc and was pleasantly surprised to have a connection to the internet after uncheck wireless network connection before the windows firewall in the Security Center. It was not a solution before I couldn't even connect to the internet then. The only difference was that the spare wheel was recently formatted and free from any clutter. Now that I know that I can connect. Fingures crossed, I will return and if that does not work then I know I have to start looking at the deletion of something of the origin of the problem

  • Impossible to use the internet until windows is updated

    When I restored my computer my internet connection is fine, apperently. I can install windows updates and troubleshooting is no problem. But I can't connect to the internet (Web sites, bing, etc.) until I have install some updates (although for the life of me I don't know what (s) he is.)

    Is this a form of security measure? Or simply a bug resolved with an update that I have described?

    Well, the problem seems to have fixed itself. When I reset my pc, I assumed that it was a corrupt reset or something and when windows installation got stuuck on an installation failed - reboot loop. I did a system recovery, and my pc is fine now!

    But when I got my windows pc connectivity issues update fixed, so I assumed it was the reason why this time.

    I have upgraded to a Cisco ASA 5505 to a 5506 X and as such have climbed to ASA 9.5

    For this reason, I'm a bit stuck on how to implement the VPN. I followed the wizard and I can now establish inbound connections, but when connected (all traffic is tunnel) there is no internet connectivity.

    Our VPN pool is 192.168.4.0/24

    I guess that I'm missing a NAT rule, but in all honesty, I'm a user ASDM and as everything is changed, I am struggling to recreate it?

    Hi Ben-

    What you are trying to accomplish is called VPN crossed.  Depending on your initial configuration, you have 2 NAT problems.  The first has to do with the NAT you place your order.  In the code later that we are dealing with two NAT ASA 8.3 times and who are ranked 2 sections going on before and after the device NAT. object

    My general rule for control of NAT is like this:

    1. Twice NAT (front) - use this section for exemptions from NAT or unusual configurations that have to go first
    2. Purpose of NAT - Use this section to the static NAT instructions for servers
    3. Twice NAT (after) - use this section to your global declarations of NAT, basically a catch-all

    Then, never use 'all' as an interface for all training of NAT.  This may seem like a good idea, but it will bite you.  Remember, it is more the notion of control NAT, then 'all' interface is bit VPN configurations and similar DMZ.  Always be specific about your interface for NAT pairs.

    To this end, here is what I suggest that your NAT configuration should resemble:

    We have an ASA with IPSec VPN facility to addresses Internet of Tunnel from Split.  We have an Internet address that must come from the external interface of the ASA.  I have added this address to the list of split tunnel and confirmed on the client that is the road to the tunnel, but I'm not able to get to this address via the VPN.

    How the ASA to allow this unique Internet address to come via the VPN and route back on the same interface to the Internet and the return traffic to back up in the client VPN tunnel.

    Just had a chance to look through the Setup and I guess that configured nat is incorrect.

    Global (LUXCVGASA01e) 2 1.1.1.1

    The access-list says sheep that ALL traffic goes to the pool of the VPN to go UN-natted. So, when you try to access the public ip address via the tunnel VPN, the traffic the ASA, ASA then performs a search destination NAT and matches the nat command "nat (LUXCVGASA01i) 0 access-list sheep." If the ASA detects a destination NAT translation, it will bypass route search and uses the destination NAT translation to determine the output interface (in this scenario, the output interface is LUXCVGASA01i.

    So, to resolve this problem, change the acl sheep from "any to VPN_Pool 255.255.255.0" inside"to the network VPN_Pool 255.255.255.0.

    clear xlate and re-initialization of the tunnel, and this should solve the problem.

  • VPN Cisco ASA 5540 L2L - one-way traffic only for the pair to a network

    I'm a little confused as to which is the problem. This is the premise for the problem I have face.

    One of our big clients has a Cisco ASA5540 (8.2 (2)) failover (active / standby). Early last year, we have configured a VPN from Lan to Lan to a 3rd party site (a device of control point on their end). He worked until early this week when suddenly the connection problems.

    Only 1 of the 3 networks the / guests can access a remote network on the other side. 2 others have suddenly stopped working. We do not know of any change on our side and the remote end also insists that their end configurations are correct (and what information they sent me it seems to be correct)

    So essentially the encryption field is configured as follows:

    After the problem started only 10.207.0.0/16 network connections worked for the site remote 10.82.0.200/30. All other connections do not work.

    There has been no change made on our side and on the side remote also insists there has been no change. I also checked how long the ASAs have been upward and how long the same device has been active in the failover. Both have been at the same time (about a year)

    The main problem is that users of the 10.231.191.0/24 cant access remote network network. However, the remote user can initiate and implement the VPN on their side but usually get any return traffic. Ive also checked that the routes are configured correctly in the routers in core for the return of their connections traffic should go back to the firewall.

    Also used of "packet - trace" event raising the VPN tunnel (even if it passes the phases VPN). For my understanding "packet - trace" alone with the IP source and destination addresses must activate the VPN connection (even if it generates no traffic to the current tunnel).

    So, basically, the connection should properly go to connect VPN L2L but yet is not. I tried to generate customer traffic of base (with the source IP address of the client network and I see the connection on the firewall, but yet there is absolutely no encapsulated packets when I check "crypto ipsec to show his" regarding this connection VPN L2L.)     If it was just a routing problem it would be a simple thing to fix, but it is not because I can see the connection I have to confirm it by the router base on the firewall, but they don't just get passed on to the VPN connection.

    Could this happen due to a bug in the Software ASA? Would this be something with Checkpoint VPN device? (I have absolutely no experience with devices of control point)

    8.2.4.1 is the minimum - 8.2.4 had some issues (including TCP proxy).

    If this does not resolve the problem - I suggest open TAC box to get to the bottom of this ;-)

    If you want to have Split-tunnelin in use. One you have patterns for.

    Then reconnect the VPN Client connection and try again.

    After that the VPN Client connection only transmits traffic directed to the LAN on the VPN Client connection and all Internet traffic beyond the VPN connection directly to the Internet through the current connection of the users.

    You must have a separate server from CA to issue certificates for the client and register the ASA on the CA server.

    You cannot use the self-signed certificate on the SAA for the VPN client.
