  • Impossible to reinstall Windows on iMac 5 k (end of 2014) w / Fusion drive

This past weekend, I had a problem with my Windows gel partition when running games, so I decided to reinstall completely the partition from the ground up. During installation, I keep running into this caveat that I can not go beyond: "we could not create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup logs files. "I have made many things and suggestions to try to get installed it, but still continue to get that number. My computer is once more an iMac 5 k (end of 2014) with a merger of 3 TB drive. I had installed before, that's why I'm really irritated that I'm getting this question.

Hi, I'm hoping there's an Assistant "you have not" reading of this...

I got tired of random programs from decide who wanted not run/open/work at all without reason aparant, some viruses of compensation or foolishly setting set somewhere im enough computer but I have the wrost chance in the known universe.

sort of, I'm so fed up with progs (Itunes 10, steam and a few others which im not to bothered all) does not work after reinstalling and ask questions on the support pages (no awnsers), I went to my irritable Local store "Yet-to-be-tamed" and am myself a Xp pro SP2 boot disk, I bung inside as he told me how to "repair" Reinstall if I lose any data/settings (I wondered weather it is possible but what _ I'l give it a shot.) So I stuck the cd player, auto run, I chose the installer of windows... a black magic happened, an error that happened (sorry I forgot what he said... no doubt VERY important, something put in shape) I click ok... He continues... cool it restarts... running the ASUS... What ever, it's that I had with the MB, entry of the Os, POST Hits startup boot screen... Then the Group of experts of vacuum... not even a mouse... the screen remains black keyboard stays on... I can enter the place of startup parameters (forget his name) and allso I can't enter the menu "what do you start from", but none or the start device setting will get me anywhere. This have on earth I did... that is why I hope that there is a reading assistant.

  • Impossible to reinstall windows after having disinfected disc

    Hello experts,

I ran the disk on an elitebook8470p Sanitizer. She completed successfully, wiping everything as planned.

Now I am trying to reinstall windows 7, using the "windows repair disc" I created with the hp utility.

Problem is, there is no option to install windows 7.

Just a bunch of options to repair, diagnose or reinstall from an image (but it has not listed to choose from images).

Don't I have the wrong disc?

Can someone share a list of steps to follow after disinfection drive contest?

    Thank you

    Hello

The repair disk you mention does not contain the files to reinstall Windows 7, it simply provides a way to access recovery and diagnostic option etc.

    There are two options available.

    1. you can order the HP operating system recovery disc.

    Contact HP.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc you using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( that must be the same version that originally came with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a very respected source (Digital River).

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

You will find additional and software drivers for your laptop here.

  • Impossible to reinstall Windows on Satellite A105-S2141

I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S2141 I'm trying to reinstall Windows on after a bad virus infection. When I entered the Windows CD (OEM cd, not original) and it loads all the drivers it BSOD PAge_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area with 0 x 50.
I ran several diagnostics hardware on the machine (memtest, hard drive tests, winstress) and nothing comes back bad. I put in a disk of Vista for sh * s and giggles and it loads fine.

At this point, I think that it is a SATA driver that must be loaded with Windows. I can't find this driver anywhere
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/modelContent.jsp?CT=DL&OS=&category=&MOID=1373531& rpn = PSAA5U & modelFilter = A105-S2141 & SelCategorie = 3 & selFamily = 1073768663

There is the link to the support page for this model of laptop. I've also updated BIOS firmware to the latest version, I tried the BIOS driver loaded on a disk without result.
I am really confused and this laptop is no good for me at the moment.

And what version of Windows you want to install?

  • Satellite M35-S456: Impossible to reinstall WINDOWS!

Laptop crashed and I am forced to reinstall windows using the recovery CD. When I put it in the drive and start the computer, it says that this will delete all your files F1 to continue or F2 to cancel. I press F1, then he said: press C to continue or has the demolition. I press C, and then immediately restart the laptop and begins the process of starting from the CD again and begin the installation again, its a never ending cycle.

    Help, please!

    Hello

I agree with James. You suggested that your laptop has crashed. I guess that's the HARD disk head crash. In this case, there is nothing to see. The HARD drive is dead and you need a new.
What you can do is to check the BIOS if the disc is recognized correctly.

  • Reinstall Windows XP with no boot or installation disk

I started volunteering for a non-profit as a bureau chief.

The Organization was given 4 IBM posts all loaded with XP Pro.  I wish I could give units a new start with XP by formatting the drives and reinstalling windows from scratch.  However the boot/installation disks were not included with the gift of the CPU.
Each unit has Microsoft Windows "sticker" on the subject with the product key for each.
I expected to be able to download a generic copy of XP pro to burn to a CD and install it on each unit, but I'm pretty sure that's not possible.

A little help would be great, thanks.

To answer your question - no you can't install without disc and and you can not download (AFAIK) XP from anywhere.
The "donor" was in violation of the LICENSE agreement. You need to either get the donor to feed the disks or you will need (unfortunately) buy new copies...
The problem is why the donor is not passed on the disks? The donor has used the disks again? If yes you and he are going to face problems... If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog

  • Reinstall Windows Vista with the CD

I have the Virus that replaces my system 32 (Windows Vista file)... So, I want to reinstall Windows Vista... After that I reinstalled it, my data such as music, video, project will be lost? Viruses replace the windows explore, Windows Update (I can't update more), Windows Movie Maker, Windows Media Player and more... My computer is slow and being unresponsive is not all this time...

    Hi Nik

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help you with this problem.

According to the description of the problem, the Windows Vista 32 system file has been replaced. You want to reinstall Windows Vista.

Write to us with the following information.

    (1) what makes say you that your System 32 file has been replaced?
    (2) do you have any third-party antivirus or security software installed on your computer?

    (3) have tried to remove the virus?

I want to suggest to follow the troubleshooting methods listed here.

    Run Microsoft Safety scanner.

I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: during the analysis of the disk hard if bad sectors are found, the parser attempts to repair this area, all available on which data may be lost.

If you perform a clean formatting, you will lose your data and files. If you want to keep your files and data that you do a Custome of Installation of Windows Vista.

  • Cannot start windows, impossible to reinstall windows, can't restore windows to the external hard drive or to an earlier point in time!

I have a Dell studio 1535 laptop. When I start it the typical loading screen appears with Dell logo and the possibility to go to the installation or boot menu.

If I leave this office, I go to the Windows Error Recovery screen with give me the opportunity to start the system restart or start windows normally. If I start windows normally, the loading windows screen comes up while the screen flashes blue with white writing (too fast to read) and I am referred to the Dell loading screen.

If I select the Startup Repair tool, I come to a screen where I am asked to select my operating system, but the list is empty. It also shows if you don't see your operating system in the list then click loading drivers to load the drivers from your hard drive. He said now insert the device installation media, so I put in the installation CD for the drivers that came with my laptop. I browse through the files on the cd and select 1386 > R180982 > IAAHCI. This will display a list of drivers and I chose Intel(r) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller (I'll explain why later). However when I add this driver it says that the software that supports your device requires you to restart your computer. Also, if I check computer while browsing my HDD is not listed, which I think might be a problem.

Furthermore, if I don't take any driver, and then click Next when I have 5 options. If I do the Startup Repair, it only takes a few seconds and said if repairs where succesful windows starts normally (which it doesn't).

If I do the system restore an error comes up saying that, to perform an offline system restore, you must specify which windows installation you want to restore. By example, if the installation is in "C:\Windows" should be restored in the following command: rstrui.exe/OFFLINE:C:\Windows. I have it entered in the command prompt, it runs it sends me to the System Restore screen, but says that no restore points were created so that I can't keep (However, I know that I don't actually have the restore points.

If I select Windows complete PC Restore it gives the error message "an internal error has occurred. The following information can help you resolve the error: the parameter is incorrect. (0 x 80070057) ».

If I select Windows memory diagnostic tool and select Restart now and check for problems I get the error "Windows cannot verify the memory problems. A problem is preventing Windows from checking for memory problems during startup. Try to check the problems again by running the tool manually.

I managed the Dell Factory Restore Image but that did nothing.

  • Impossible to reinstall Windows 7 on a new hard drive

First off apologies if this has been answered recently, I spent the 2 days on this problem and the promise that I searched and google til my fingers bleed. Basically, the situation is as follows:

-The PC tells me HDD is faulty on my Studio XPS 8000

-J' I buy the new HDD, then get out of the old and install new

-Position the disc of the PC operating system, get up to where I can click on install to start the installation of Windows 7 on the new drive

-However he says there is no device driver on the disk, I put in the drivers and Utilities disc, (which came with the PC) but still no driver of the device, even if it says disk they appear thereon

-Back to the old drive and try to make the system recovery disk - try to use USB flash drive but is not recognized, so buy dvdr discs and go through initialization and then it begins to collect files, but on many tests is not go beyond 25% full, let alone engraving on the startup disk.

-Dell Datasafe Local Backup to uninstall and reinstall but the continuous PC to freeze at "25% collection files.

So, what can I do, because my warranty is over? All I have to do is install my copy already purchased WIndows 7 on my new hard drive already bought, but I'm stumped at this point. Thanks for any help of cutting-edge :)

Oh... PS. -I am in England so I don't think I can send away from the backup disks, even if the expiry of the guarantee is not a problem.

Follow the Windows reinstallation Guide / A clean installation of Windows 7:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/

The part you get stuck on is step 6, preparation of step 8 and SATA drivers loaded during the installation of Windows.

Note that I recommend using a .iso of Digital River, which will be the installation of more up-to-date media and the use of Activation and recovery of backup for the activation of the product. Follow the step 2 (using the files at the bottom) and stage 11 b for activation of the product. It is an unofficial solution but works very well.

You can of course try to call Support technique Dell and request a Dell Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 DVD of resettlement.

  • How do I reinstall Windows 7 with a upgrade disc

    Separated from this thread.

    Hello Bill,

Is this true with a copy as well upgrade? I brought (bare with me I forgot the details) upgrade 64-bit Windows 7 Home premium from XP I think it is? If I was to reformat my computer would be I reinstall windows using the natures CD upgrade or do I need to reload XP and then update? I'm confused sorry if this doesn't make much sense!

You can clean install them using the upgrade disc.  Always on the technical side, you need to own a qualifying version of Windows (XP), but that's just a rule of licensing - the older one has need not be actually installed on the drive.

Here's how: Clean install Windows 7 with upgrade media

  • Reinstall Windows 7 with Parallels

I am running Windows 7 with Parallels on an iMac. I am asked to reset my password, but I did not have (or remember) my password. I have not created a password reset disk, so I have to reinstall Windows. I have the discs and the product key to do so. The problem is, when I insert the Windows disc and try to run the program installation or auto run, it tries to start Windows and push me to reset the password. How to uninstall Windows on this iMac and then reinstall it. (I tried to reinstall Parallels, but ended up in the same-loop).

In fact, I have not. I am using Parallels support, who told me to ignore the reset password dialog box, leave all the fields blank and just click "continue". In other words, I have no password and does not require one. It has worked well. Sorry for my confusion on something so simple. (I'm still new with the Mac).
