Impossible to use Media Player

My Media Player display reduced to a small rectangle in the middle of my screen. How can I fix it?

Thank you, XP rocks it solved the problem. Because I don't know what caused the problem in the first place, I saved the link to my favorites in case I need it ever again.

You're welcome Tom and thanks for letting us know. Be sure to mark this thread as answered, for the benefit of others with the same problem so that they can find the solution. Thank you.

  • No audio doesn't play on exernal CD drive when I burn an MP3 on a CD using Media Player.

I have a zipped Mp3 saved on my computer, and I burned a CD - r using Media Player.  It plays back fine on my computer, but on my player, it plays but with no Audio.  What can I do?

In fact you gave me an idea, and it worked!

What I've done before, it was I recorded the file unzipped on my desk, right click the icon and clicked 'send to disk '.  It's what he burned to the CD, but he played with the no sound on my old walkman.

What I did now and it solved the problem, opened Media Player, open the library, moved the files unpacked from my office to the library.  Then, I opened them, stop AutoPlay, right click the file and selected, then the option "burn to disc".  I made sure that it was an "audio disc", and it worked!

    Thank you!

  • When I keyin information of track using Media Player, is this info inserted in the file itself, or only in the index Media Player?

My question is actually very specific: when I keyin track using Media Player Info, is this info inserted in the file itself, or only in the index of Media Player? If I have to rebuild the indexes in the metadata file, the indexed fields are kept in?

Only in the index of Media Player.  If you remove this file WMP (without actually deleting the computer/folder) and then read the file again, you would see that your changes have disappeared.

To actually change the file, you will need a program known as ID3 Tag Editor.

  • Impossible to update Media Player list library

Use a vinyl to digital converter for several years now. Read the album, enter the name of the artist and album to get the files in the desired files, type 1 or 2 garbage character for the title of the track, and then use Media Player to find info on the album. This process worked until dawn Saturday, October 20, 2012. Nothing, that I converted from shows and then up in Media Player. There are the titles that I deleted from my hard drive that always appear in the list of Media Player and I can't delete them. There are other tracks, that I can't change. This morning, I followed the process described above, and I saw the album in Media Player with the titles of the correct tracks, artist, composer, etc. after going through the process to find Album Info. I went back later and it's gone. Click all music, path and extra date added column, and the more recent things shown are starting on Saturday morning. Thought that maybe some automatic updates screwed things up. There were a few updates on the 19th and we the 21, but nothing is 20. Read the messages in the forum similar questions, but they were 2 to 3 years old and I didn't try the solutions that may not be valid/no things worse work/screws. Any help out there?

    Hi GregCowling,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand it's frustrating, but no need to worry I'll be more than happy to help you.

1 were there any hardware or software changes made on the computer before this problem?
    2. do you get an error message? If Yes, what is the exact full error message?

Follow the steps and check if that helps.

    Method 1
Run the troubleshooter in Windows Media Player settings and check if that makes a difference
Open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-settings-Troubleshooter
Also, click on the link and run the fixit tool.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_diagnostic

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
    Click on the link:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: Follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

  • Toshiba 50L7335DF: problems to play 1080 p mkv files using media player

    Hello

    _The facts_
I have problems to read files mkv (H264, AC3 5.1) 1080 p via the media player on a USB drive (USB is formatted NTFS)

The video begins and is OK for a few seconds/minutes, and then it becomes jerky.
    (the subtitles were on)

I also found that the menus are generally very slow on this TV...

I also had some problems with subtitles:
-they were not displayed on a single video (tested OK with VLC on my laptop ubuntu)
    - and on the other, they showed too fast, I want to say it have been synchronized, but they disappeared fast after displayed.
-one this second video, I got a few square character displayed at the beginning of some lines (maybe an encoding problem, I'll try to understand by myself)
    - And finally, the submarines are truncated at the beginning and at the end of some very long sentences on a single line.

    _So questions: _
-Is powerful enough to manage movies mkv 1080 p TV?
N ' matter what official NTFS support soon? (and don't tell me to FAT32... I know that the limitation of 4 GB, which is sad on 1080 p HD mkv...)
-No recommendation for the encoding format presentations?
    -How to solve garbled subtitles?
-There's a subtitle settings (font, size, duration, time)?

Y at - it an update of the firmware fix fo preparation menus speed or one of these superior facts?

Try to make the subtitles is UTF-8.
You can use the editor like notepad ++ to choose the option to convert it to UTF-8 format.
