  You can, BUT only one (the last) version of the CVI runtime will be installed - this behavior began with CVI 6 or more.  Before that date, you have completely installed parallel to several versions of the CVI.

  This can be a problem if you ever find that you have applications depend on a particular version of the RTE.  Theory of NI is that this editor is always backward compatible.

  And you might ask what is simply the RTE - the answer is that it is a set of DLLS and stuff that NEITHER really cares to list for you.

  If you purchase a perpetual license for Photoshop CS6, you want to deactivate the software on your old system before installing it on your new system.

  If your goal is to reach the creative cloud, all you have to do is disconnect on the old system and the newspaper in the new system during the new installation of creative cloud with your Adobe ID

  Media conditioned to steps 3 and 7 should now be protected using the same license.

  Configure a computer for a friend using the version 64-bit of Windows Vista, not knowing its processor's crashing issues with 64 bit... would it not possible to rebuild and get a copy of 32-bit by using the same key via download or something?
