In the file open/create/replace bug

I found this problem in LabVIEW 2009. The Boolean indicator doesn't seem to work properly in the first snippet. It returns TRUE even with a valid path. With some trial and error, I found a work around that will work correctly at the moment. I just wire an Out error after the file open/create/replace (excerpt of a second). Is this a bug? I'm doing something wrong?

I had a lot of code that uses it to test to search for existing files, and then the output of wire to a statement box. I know there's also a check if the folder/file available Exists.vi. I wouldn't spend a lot of time to change all my code if there is a known bug and it will be corrected in the next update. If this isn't a bug to know, where can I submit it?

This isn't a bug. You have the race condition between the indicator and close REF.

Use it in this way:

  • Strange behavior file open/create/replace

    Hi all

    I will make my question as broad as possible because I think someone must have met this behavior before. I use the function open/create/replace file to programmatically open a file, giving a path entry created in an earlier vi. Strange behavior, I see, is that although Labview returns 1 error when I give my file programmatically, it reads the file OK if I give as a constant. The constant path that I give is exactly the same as one I am tryinng to programmatically.

    Any suggestions? Is it to do with a string formatting problem? I enclose my portion of treated VI the path_in section.

    Thanks for your time,

    Kind regards

    Harry

    Wild guess: you must use 'build path' instead of 'concatenate strings' build path.

    (Also use a constant of diagram of the path (not a string!) to "c:\ni-rt\" and get rid of the "trim whitespace' and the 'chain of path")

    See if that makes a difference. (build path is OS independent, while the operations of independent channels are not).

    Never use the paths as strings. There are very few cases where this would be appropriate.

  • Error file open/create/replace FPGA

    Hey guys,.

    I'm having a problem where, when I try to use reading worksheet VI in my RT Host Application, it returns error code 7 (can't find a file or folder does not exist) when it calls the function of file open/create/replace. The feature works very well when used in a standalone VI that is not part of the FPGA project and I made sure that my path is correct, but for some reason, it does not work in my FPGA application. I have placed sensors and ensured that the correct path to the file is linked to the input function but the error persists. The refnum output file returns 0, not "not A Refnum". Does anyone have an idea on why I get this error or if I'm the only one? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    "Disk zero" was almost full warning. I deleted the files opened to create space. However, photoshop CC, crashed before that I was able to free up space. I tried several times to re - open Photoshop CC but within 2 seconds it crashes when loading. I then decided to upgrade to the 2014 version, update. He worked twice and now repeat the same problem, I have lived before update. This only happens when I'am connected under "other user account" as I had been when the accident happened first and not as an administrator. I purged the cache, more space for performance, etc. in Admin mode, I ran permission repair in public services, but when I change the user account, photoshop crashes with seconds loading. As you can already read in your crash report - the crash has little to do with Photoshop and everything to do with your Nik/Google SelectiveTool plugin.

  • ID of the file open causes freeze

    Is anyone having this problem? I opened the last update of CC2015 of ID and it opens VERY slowly. Then go to the file open causes a 2-5 minute beachball on my mac pro book.

    I did all Adobe offers troubleshooting and including deactivation of all additional policies, remove the suitcase entirely plugin from all adobe products and still get the dreaded beachball.

    I went back to the previous version of ID and it works like a charm.

    Please help if you know something about this problem.

    2nd question is: has that it's gotten past the loop of the Adobe diagnostic process. I have no way to contact their technical support. Online, it keeps looping to describe the product/problem etc. Really annoying and I wonder what I have to pay for.

  • Spam attack delete file named vcanh.dll in C:\Documents and Settings where to get the file to be replaced?

    I have several old Compaq Presario SR1563CL which has a completely updated Windows XP, Norton AV and other software a year.

    Today, a blitz of spam by pretending to be shipping notice hit my email AOL Time Warner Cable account.

    The only damage is that a file is missing.  None of the Windows XP recovery systems that go back and use the settings of the previous software can fix it.  A search of the computer in the C: and D: finds no copy of the file to be replaced.  The effect is that the computer freeze at startup until you notice of missing file OK.  Then it executes just like before.

    Is it possible to get a copy of the file and simply copy and paste in the right place?

    The missing file is named:

    C:\Documents and Compaq_Owner Data\vcanh.dll

    This is the vcanh.dll file which is not the case to be found or found.  I tried to put just a placeholder name, others no action files and the result is that Windows know it's the wrong file and still hangs.

    I don't think that vcanh.dll is a legitimate Windows file. May be a remnant of the attack to the added element of startup or something and the file has been cleaned or removed by Norton, but the start tag has not been eliminated.

    If you have tried restoring the system, without success, I'd be probably next try scanning with a couple of other cleaning tools.

    MalwareBytes Free Edition to find any bad guys always LURKING. I use it regularly to scan every machine in the House as a check of the backup.

    Free Ccleaner to analyze the registry and files for invalid entires to remove. I use this tool semi-regular even with no virus attack, keeps a tidy machine.

  • When copying a file in flash memory, a shortcut of the file is created with! Why is this happening?

    When I copy a file in flash memory a shortcut depending on the size of 1 KB from the file is created with the original?

    is this a virus?
    What is the solutions for that?

    Sorry, I misread your question. I thought that you receive only a shortcut.

    I don't know what would cause. Have you tried with another flash drive? Have you tried to format the flash drive that you use, when there is nothing on what you need?

    It won't hurt a thing to check for malware. Download the free version of this tool. First check the updates and then run a full scan.

    I'm sure that the path is correct, but the error information indicate used different path "------" is not "/", I have attached the picture.

    I don't know why this is happening, appreciate any suggestion to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    The cRIO-9075 doesn't have the ability to mount a Windows network share and the read/write directly with the host computer.  You'd have to do, this is the file from the FTP host (the host has to a customer, and the RT system has a server) or to run an FTP server on the host that the target can interact with (the host would then have a server, and the target's screws of the FTP client) to get the file to the location.

  • Error with the function "Open/create/overwrite file" with cancel button

    I have attached a very simple VI who embodies what I want to do with my function to open the file. I just want to stop the rest of my program (theoretically embedded in the Structure box) to run if the user deigns to do not to specify a file location.

    However, if you click on the button cancel an error is produced before the rest of the program is running. If ignore you the error and continue, the "canceled" properly true made variable and the Structure of business runs correctly. "" I just want to remove the error message given to me by LabVIEW.

    Any ideas on why or how?

    Read the help of LabVIEW on automatic error handling.

    In your case, you can just wire the output of cluster of error to the structure of your business.

  • Problem with the file opened in the application via InvokeRequest

    Hello

    my application opens the file and reads its binary content. I have a small problem to open a file from a navigation or an attachment.

    But first here's how my app works. I have a signal/slot-connection in my applicationUI constructor:

    ApplicationUI::ApplicationUI(bb::cascades::Application *app) : QObject(app), m_invokeManager(new bb::system::InvokeManager(this)) {

      bool ok;

      // Since the variable is not used in the app, this is added to avoid a
      // compiler warning.
      Q_UNUSED(ok);

      ok = QObject::connect(m_invokeManager, SIGNAL(invoked(const bb::system::InvokeRequest&)), this, SLOT(handleInvoke(const bb::system::InvokeRequest&)));

    }

    So if the user clicks on a file it can open in the following C++ function:

    void ApplicationUI::handleInvoke(const bb::system::InvokeRequest& request) {

        QString workingDir = QDir::currentPath();

    // Initiate the appropriate target based on the invoke.target-key
        if (request.target() == "com.myapp.card.previewer") {

            m_uri = request.uri().toString();

            QString FileToOpen = m_uri.replace(QString("file://"), QString(""));

            bb::cascades::Page* PageToOpen = ApplicationUI::doLoadPageDetails(FileToOpen);

            if (PageToOpen != NULL) {
                initPreviewerUI();
            } else {
                ShowToast("FEHLER! Seite kann nicht geladen werden");
            }
        }
    }

    The doLoadPageDetails () - function creates a page and filled with binary content of reading a file. If the file contains errors or is corrupted an exception is thrown.

    And here is my problem. When I opened a file corrupted first the screen becomes darker before opening the app. The I get error messages, exactly as I want. But the screen stays dark. I can't take another navigation element. Also, I can't use the back button. The only solution is to wipe the screen and then use the active frame to close the filebrowser and reopen it.

    That I can't use it with attachments to emails. When I open on and the screen is dark, I can't close the view for emails. So to see the mails again I have to restart the BB decive.

    I'm not fluent in English, but I hope you understand my problem. Is it possible to cancel the invokeRequest when the file is corrupted? Or what can I do here?

    Well, the solution was to use a Toast message but the dialog box. Because that prevents the application and I can't and shows just the message, with the button on this dialog box, I cannot tell the app to close.

  • Errors appear in the file open in Momentics IDE under the new Cascade

    Hi all

    I created a new waterfall project added a few things like a mapView and it compiled and run yesterday on the emulator. But today when I opened the files it reports errors that it cannot locate the include files, but only, it throws errors once I open the file.

    The kicker is he will be always compile and run on the emulator, as if there are no errors.

    What is a linker or IDE problem? And if anyone knows how to fix this it would be great

    Kind regards

    -J

    Reinstall Momentics IDE seemed to fix the problem. May have been the mistake of the indexer. ?
