In windows Movie Maker I get Audio when I do drag a video clip to the timeline, what should I do?

I was OK by dragging separate images to the timeline in Movie Maker. Now, I am trying to add video clips (AV1). When I drag them down only the Audio for the clip is recording during playback. How can I fix to make sure the video track also records? Thank you.

All using windows movie maker, I added audio, but I can't hear the music while playing the video... Why is this?

    Hello

    1. What is the format of the video file that you use in Movie Maker?

    2. do you receive error messages when you try to play the video?

Some audio and video file formats are not supported in Windows Movie Maker and cannot be imported. However, if you have a video or audio file that is not taken care of, you can use a non-Microsoft video editing software to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker, and then import the video file or an audio resulting in Windows Movie Maker.

You can use your favorite search engine and download third-party video editing software to convert the file.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Watch the video file. The last 3 letters represent the file format.

Windows Movie maker only supports the following video file formats:

Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

If yours is not on the above list, Movie Maker will have probel play.

In this case, you will have to google for a free video converter and change the format of your video file to WMV. WMV format is the most reliable format for Windows. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • Windows Movie Maker, create empty audio files from Audio CD through Media Player playback.

I am trying to integrate audio CD in Windows Movie Maker by using the Microphone of CD Audio in Windows Movie Maker game and reading the CD with Media Player file. The file is created very well with the small notes on the icon, but reading, there is no sound. I went into control panel - household and made sure that all the sound elements was not checked in as volume controls 'mute' and turned everything up to full. Playback of the audio in the player, once I hit 'record' in WMM and the operation starts. I hit stop when the desired recording is over... but the files play 'empty' back in WMM and Media Player. This procedure has worked well for me in the past, so it's very frustrating that it has suddenly stopped working.

  • Windows Movie Maker - releasing only audio, is it possible to publish the exact length of the audio and does not include the lot of silent at the end?

Windows Movie Maker - have 6 minutes of audio spliced, I would like to publish in the form of an audio clip with no video.  I heard that this is possible, and it all works, the 'framework' includes 6 more minutes of space without air circulation that gets compiled with the planned 6 minutes of audio matching 12 minutes of audio rather than the 6 minutes.  Is it possible to MovieMaker 'See' the end of my audio instend, to include 12 minutes in length with it default?  Should I include photos or video for the project to publish only 6 minutes, instead of the 12 minutes?   I hope this makes sense...

I assume you are using Vista Movie Maker 6 and not Live Movie Maker?

It is a problem that I've not seen before... the recorded length must be equal
at times combined clips on the timeline. I guess it's possible
If you've done a lot of editing/trimming clips... something was corrupted.

I was wondering... If you import the .wma file saved in Movie Maker and drag
it to the timeline... it shows the clip as being the length of 12 minutes? If it isn't...
Perhaps you could he split and right click Delete unwanted 6 minutes and
    then re-save.

Divide... drag the playback at the end of the music and the type indicator... CTRL + L
.. .to split the file then right-click of the unwanted part and click on delete.

Tip: Unlike clips video... audio clips can be dragged to the timeline, so don't forget
they are dragged all the way to the left to prevent air from dead at the beginning or
    between the clips.

It may be worth trying to go to... Tools / Options / compatibility... tab and the left click
the "All default settings" button before the Save.

And... If the clips audio source are not the. WMA format... it could be a useful
try to convert them to WMA before you import into Movie Maker.

    In Windows Movie Maker...
To save only the audio track of a video clip.

For the timeline, drag the video to the
Track "Audio / Music. Then type... Caviggia Ctrl + P.
Reach... File / save movie file / ect... ect...

This will result in a file audio .wma. Do not forget

  • Windows Movie Maker-legends are incomplete when published in the final movie

My captions are incomplete when published in the final movie... :(

    Hello everyone.

I use Windows Movie Maker to create a photo slideshow set to music. In addition, each photo has a caption.

    Here's my problem:

Some photo captions are messy when I publish the movie. For example, "TCS 1999" shows as "SDC 199" in the published version, even if "SDC 2000" remains the same in the published version. " Not every picture is affected, but it is irritating.

I would appreciate anyone's insight into this matter.

  • On my computer I have Windows Movie Maker. Is it possible to add a song to my Ipod, the film that I do?

While I was doing a video on Windows Movie Maker lyrics, I couldn't find any music. And I was wondering if it was possible to put music from my Ipod to the computer, then on my film. Thank you.

Yes, once you download music from IPod to the computer, you can import it into your movie.

You can import files with the following file name extensions into Windows Movie Maker to use in your project:

    • Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

    • Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma

    • File Picture: .bmp, DIBs, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff and .wmf

You can also import files into Windows Movie Maker that have a different extension of those shown above, but not all types of files do not work when you try to use them to make a movie.

Look at the link below for solutions when you import music in Movie Maker.

  • Cannot find Window Movie Maker in XP. Wanted to download Kodak Easy Share clips on a Web site. All I could do was save still images.

I downloaded some video clips of Kodak.  They are on the computer - I can be read, but can now find a way to get them out to download (I tried to enter a contest).  Is Microsoft Movie Maker Windows 7 system only?  I'm not tech savvy and could not even Real Player do something to download.

You might find Movie Maker to... Start button / all programs /.
    Accessories / Movie Maker.

If you do not find Movie Maker just go to... Start / run...
type or copy / paste moviemk.exe and then press
    Enter to start Movie Maker.

I suspect that the Kodak film clips are .mov format
and will not compatible with Movie Maker.

  • Windows Movie Maker for Vista crashes when the publication of film to 99% all 5 remaining seconds

I am running Vista and have tried to publish a movie of 2 hours on my pc using a number of different formats.  Still, it hangs at 99% with 5 seconds remaining.  I have 800 GB free on my hard drive, a quad core cpu and 8 GB of RAM.  Any help to do this would be greatly appreciated.  Movie Maker version is 6.0 (Build 6001:SP1).

    Thanks Matt.

I checked my Windows logs and found no errors.
Then, I took my video and remove all but 1 minute and tried to create a movie.  It worked.  Then I went back to the original big movie I tried to save and delete the last two seconds of him.  Who did the trick.  I have no idea how the end a few images to an existing sequence of wmv could spoil of Movie Maker, but the problem is now resolved.

Thank you for guiding me to look at the error logs.  He started me on the right track for the removal of the error.
