• get more than the occasional spam in my Inbox Hotmail/Live Mail

  Recently, I have received more than the occasional spam in my Inbox Hotmail/Live Mail. The only constant is that they all @a.xxxxxxxx.com where the xs vary and other gibberish before the @. I used to get very occasional junk e-mail in my Inbox, but since a few weeks I get 4 to 8 per day but I did not have in my Gmail account that I do not regularly use this account.

  I have no problem scanning them but I was wondering why Hotmail filters are not picking up these. Maybe the spammers have figuered on Hotmail filters.

  I sent a note to Hotmail but I don't think thet even monitor the feedback.

• My whole Inbox hotmail - 11 years of my life - disappeared last week!

  Last week, all eleven of my Inbox before 6 March 2011 simply disappeared in the air! On hotmail help they only told me that I had "active pop" my account.  I don't even own a smart phone, and I've activated nothing new in the eleven years I had my account.   I want to retrieve my messages!  I am a PAID Hotmail Subscriber.  I had to pay all these years, because I wanted to keep all of these messages.  I am extremely anxious in this respect.  Please allow me to talk to someone!

• Emails in the Inbox Hotmail webmail in the process of disappearance

  For a few months now I couldn't access the first two pages of emails in my Hotmail Inbox online. Why is this happening? I used to have hundreds of pages. It's really annoying. I can always find old emails from the years using the search bar there and they appear sometimes but it's the only way I seem to be able to access.

  Had the Blackberry Storm2 for a day and love it, but I spent several hours unsuccessfully trying to find a fix for this problem:

  I have Gmail and Hotmail (using Outlook 2007).  I realize by reading the different messages that I will not be able to get emails after I sorted into separate folders, which I can live with the option - but what about emails that are still in my Inbox from before I had my BB?  I am only able to see the new emails I have received, that appear in my Inbox, after first, I enabled the e-mail function on my phone.  Thanks to the one who can help me with this!

  Via BIS, the only emails that you will receive on your BB are new items starting at time of activation. That is simply how it works.

• my hotmail Inbox page/files were frozen only in firefox... no problem in Explorer...

  Hi I had something very similar happen to me after having just a new laptop. Same questions, I could connect and see the inbox but able to modify records, open emails or send new ones.

  After all my frustration, I did these steps and oddly enough it worked... I don't know WHY it works now.

  First, clear your Cache and delete all cookies. These two is located under "Tools" - "options" - "network (for the cache), then 'privacy (cookies).

  Then go to your addon plugin. 'Tools' - 'Addons' - 'Plugins' disable all and try again to hotmail. If that works, start allowing addons one by one and keep checking.

  This is supposed to find a conflict why do not open emails and this plugin is the culprit. But I have disabled all mine, then all the new activated and things worked very well. So I don't know. Computers are weird! I hope this helps.

  The most plausible explanation for this is that you asked to Hotmail to collect messages from your Comcast mailbox. Connect to your Inbox Hotmail, pointing to the Inbox in the left column, click the gear and select get one email from another account. If your Comcast account is mentioned on the page that opens, delete it.

• Windows 8 Mail App does not connect to the Outlook account

  Recently downloaded and installed Win8, no obvious problems so far.

  I want to set up my "Mail" app to get the mail on my outlook.com account. However, every time I get back the address email + password who logs me in me oriented web Outlook.com account, he said 'we could not find settings, please provide more information' and asks the domain names and the server.

Despite this, I use outlook.com to receive e-mail from my other Inbox via pop and "receive mail from other accounts".
  Trying to connect to outlook.com fine online works, try with mail app fails with this, even if it's a known workaround solution to get pop mail on the win8 Mailer application.
  My solution was to simply go to 'rename the account' to outlook.com and create an e-mail address for microsoft based 'real' (@outlook.com) and migrate my windows account for this. Post instantly connected without problem, and my redirect pop still works.
  Pity that couldn't stop time on the chat line for microsoft technology, it just kept saying 'call your provider of domain for more details'. It could have been resolved in 30 seconds he said "you need a real Microsoft based outlook.com e-mail use it»
