Includes the Vista Home version support which is stopped?

I have Vista Home with automatic updates from Microsoft on a laptop that is about 3 years old.  Nobody told me, through my computer, that support is/has stopped, and I'm worried.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Vista Home Version that was working fine until recently. Now, whenever I try to open a file or use whatever it is, it seems stuck with the ROAR - once an hourglass on the old computer - and nothing happens. The only way I can get out of everything I tried to do is to turn off and restart. Next, I get the message that he has was not shut down normally, etc., and it takes forever to get up. Then the whole again. I really want to this time just download all my files on an external hard drive so I can get a new computer, but it will not let me even copy / paste a single file without getting bogged down. Control Alt Delete even let me get into the Task Manager to stop the programme of work. Please help me.

    Hi MZ1_6789,

    ·         What is the exact error message?

    ·         Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

  • New HD - How can I reload the Vista Home premium OS

My HD crashed, so I bought a new one.  How can I reload the Vista Home premium OS that was on the old HD?

    Hello TomNeumeyer,

Your computer initially comes preinstalled with Windows Vista HP on this subject, the manufacturer?  If so, you will need to contact them to get an installation disc.  If you have a Setup for Windows Vista HP disk and a product key, simply insert the DVD and start the installation.

  • the Vista Home Premium, Vista Ultimate upgrade error

I need to upgrade a laptop Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate to connect to a network of MS Server 2008. Home Premium runs on SP2 and I bought an upgrade ultimate retail package which has Ultimate SP1. When I go to install an update (I don't want to erase the old files and OS), I get the following error "upgrade cannot be started, cancel the installation and choose to upgrade to a version of Windows that is newer than the version you are currently using." Roll back the version Home Premium SP1 will allow me to upgrade to Ultimate, or is there something else that needs to be done? Thank you.

    That should do it.

Here's the General information about your problem:

On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk to upgrade.

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > system > it will tell you which SP you have install.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/948537

"How to uninstall Windows Vista service packs"

If the OS installed Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 1 upgrade disk > uninstall SP2 installed operating system > install the upgrade > reinstall SP2.

And run the upgrade of a Vista operating system.

    See you soon.

  • What should I do with the Vista(home edition) Dell preinstalled when I am told that I need

First of all, it is not Dell 7 and Windows Vista. I just want to know if there is an easy way. It seems that I should be able to shatter the version pre-installed Dell printer

Vista Home Edition, Premium and it should be so easy, but I know or think I know that is not the case. Do I have to install the drivers, all new software, etc, etc... Please

Help me, I'm from the hills of Ohio. Thanking you in advance, Dan (Wayne)

    Hello

Here are two ways to use Dell recovery processes

the method of recovery partition is the second listed method:

    Dell recovery options:

    http://supportapj.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/DSN/en/document?journalid=67E9C215C4BABD6CE040AE0AB5E14F05&docid=339949

Above is Dell to reinstall Vista from the DVD on your computer.

And that way if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive.

  • Cannot print the Vista Home Premium laptop on printer Epson Workforce 610 wireless

Tried to implement printing wireless since our Toshiba laptop under Vista Home Premium to an Epson Workforce 610 printer.

I have already implemented printing wireless this printer to my desktop under XP Home SP3 without problem and continue to be able to print from there.

I went round and round with Epson.  They helped me get the printer configured on the laptop, but because the printer is working from the office, they say that it is no longer their problem.

    Here's what I know:
-Wireless running on a Belkin Wireless G router, model #F5D7230-4, v.6xxx, with the firmware update.
-L' laptop and printer are both connected to the same secure wireless network.  IP addresses all look OK, and I can see all devices when I look at the settings of the router.
-I am running Trend Micro Internet Security 2009, but I turned it off.
    -Windows Firewall is also disabled.
-I can print via the wireless router if the laptop is connected directly to the router.
-No, I can't print from the laptop to the printer if the laptop is connected to the wireless network.

I think there are some settings or configuration of Vista which is at the origin of the problem.  I looked the likely candidates in the properties of the printer and in the center of network & share, but I don't know enough about Windows or Vista to really know what to do.  Anyone has any ideas on this?

    Hello

My suggestion would be to update the firmware on the router and wireless adapter first.

  • Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit update stopped working - error 80072EFE Code

The last time it worked was in April. I tried to manually search for updates, but still get the above error code. Has raced as a check disk and repair on my C drive that found no problems. Also defragmented the drive. Leftmost 120 gb of free memory. A ran a Malware remover that found no evidence of anything suspicious on my drive. Oddly enough my C drive is reported as missing in the backup settings of Vista that I can't save on my external drive (J) so that I can access the C drive of my computer and it seems OK!

  • Question for the Vista Home Premium upgrade to Windows 7?

After you run the Upgrade Advisor, I like Windows mail is compatible with Windows 7. How can I save my emails filed so I don't lose them when I do the upgrade? Thamks

Windows Update has nothing to do with the upgrade of Windows. That being said...

Your Windows Mail data will be preserved when you switch to Win7.

Unlike Vista and Windows XP, Win7 does NOT have any default mail client. However, you can install Windows Live Mail (free) or another e-mail Client (e.g. MS Outlook, which is not free) and then import data from Windows Mail stored in your new email Client.

You can find more help in this specific Win7 forum: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7network/threads

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) otherwise and before using a flash drive or the SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:
