Incoming emails disappearing.

My emails in the inbox disappear until I can read, literally see them disappear as they come. Problem started when moving to Windows Mail was installed. Can anyone help because I don't get things like my work rota for example. Thank you

Try this:

Open Windows Mail > Inbox > view > current view > check show all Messages.

    Hello Neilyjim,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Sorry, you experience this problem.  How long have you been experiencing this problem?  What anti-virus software are you running?  Did you change your operating system before this problem?  While in the Inbox, access the item menu view, current view.  Make sure "show all messages" is selected.

Norton email scanner is perhaps the single biggest troublemaker known for Windows Mail.  If it is installed and running, you have a time bomb in front of you that could just off the coast.  A similar question in this forum found the missing e-mails in some form of Norton backup folder, and I don't know if they were accessible from there or not.

No, you will NOT be at risk, analysis of electronic mail is a totally redundant process that does nothing but waste time and create problems.  The only way that attachments should be made by all e-mail clients before long resident file system monitor every last one of them until you can do something with them.  My suggestion is to uninstall Norton completely, download and run the Norton Removal Tool of the web Symantec site to clean debris, uninstaller fails to remove, and then reinstall Norton by using the Custom Installation option where you can stop the emails being installed analysis.

Hotmail is mysteriously removal of my mail. I got 13 pages about 2 weeks ago (more than 400 incoming emails), and 12 disappeared suddenly leaving me with the most recent emails of 20 or more on a single page. Yesterday, I had more than 20, but today, there are 17. I not delete those that are missing. What is going on?

  • ICloud emails disappear at the time of my Macbook Pro when I delete a message from iCloud of one of them?

I'm an old Geezer Mac, but a Newbie iCloud. I just put on my two Macbook Pro iCloud email addresses and access e-mail through Apple Mail on both computers. Here are my two questions:

    (1) iCloud emails disappear at the time of my Macbook Pro when I delete a message from iCloud of one of them?

    (2) if I move an e-mail message to iCloud Inbox Mail at Mail Archive on a Macbook, can I delete the message from the second Macbook without losing the archived message?

Yes, that is what is supposed to happen with an IMAP e-mail account.

If you move it to a folder on the Mac, not in the iCloud account, you can remove safely icloud.

  • not colors that should be in the text in my incoming emails

I have a new computer and after it is up and running, I found that my incoming emails of friends who send often part of their mail highlighted in colors now appear to me in black only. I activated in the color settings. They said things like, "this sentence is in red" and it appears that black for me. A solution that works would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the opportunity to ask.

You have View/AppMenu/Message body as the value HTML Original, and "Allow content to choose their own colors" checked in AppMenu/Options/Options/display/set in shape/color?

    Don

By clicking on a column header, which will be the primary sort column. Clicking the same header again will reverse the sort order. If you want to sort by date, click the DATE labeled header. Click on DATE for reverse sorting.

You will need to take this issue with your e-mail service provider. It has nothing to do with the Mail application or anything else on your computer.

    Hi oldcdr,

I understand that you are having problems with your email accounts on your Mac, and you feel that this may be due to a migration of another service. Here is an article that links to several troubleshooting steps that may help you in this regard:

Due to the nature of the issue you describe, I suggest that you try to remove your e-mail accounts, and then adding them back to the e-mail program by using the correct credentials and access information. Thanks for being a part of the communities of Apple Support!

  • Why my old emails disappear from the cloud?

Why my old emails disappear from the cloud?  After only a month or two, they are gone! (and I pay extra each month more space!)

    Hello Unhappywoman,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

From your post, I understand that old emails are deleted after a month. This can be due to behaviors of the mailbox defined for your iCloud account.

The following article explains how to look at these settings. My suspicion is that the section "permanently erase deleted messages when:" is set at one month old.

Use Mail preferences to set or change options for e-mail accounts , you use mail and to work with messages and mailboxes. Choose Mail > Preferences, and then click a preferences panel for the options:

    • Accounts: Add, remove, and disable your email accounts in mail. Use only the part of the mailbox behaviors to control how the project, junk, sent, and deleted (or "Basket") messages are stored. Advanced pane includes options for messages, attachments and more.

  • Why is - all my incoming emails as spam

Since I'm gone to skymail I got a problem which, for some reason any all my incoming emails are sent as spam in my Inbox skymail

This has nothing to do with MIcrosoft Windows networking and online. You must contact Skymail support. It is not a Microsoft product.

  • hotmail problem: My incoming emails see the place in the sent box and not the Inbox

I get incoming emails (for the most part of Amazon) appearing in my Inbox to the Hotmail SENT letters instead of to my mailbox IN.  Emails that are in the mailbox ENVOYS also appear in "BOLD" which means that they are read.

  • You try to forward incoming emails from BT Yahoo to Outlook Express error 0x800CCC0F

    Hello again,

    Error 0x800CCC0F

I still have a problem with the transfer of incoming emails
BT Yahoo email to Outlook Express. As a test, I removed the McAfee Firewall from the BT NetProtect Plus security package, but it has no effect.  I can view new emails and action on BT Yahoo mail but not OE. I can send emails in OE.
The error code is as above and it shows the following error. "Your server has terminated suddenly the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. "Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, error number: 0x800CCC0F ' I have no known problem of the server or the network and use the laptop on a regular basis
You have any other tips on measure I can take?
    Kind regards

I moved your post on the Microsoft Answers forum when it was off-topic on the forum 'Making in network and get online' Windows XP where Outlook Express issues belong.

Contained in the error message POP settings seem to be correct according to !-mail-settings-for-outgoing-and-incoming-mail-servers%3F http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6876/~/what-are-the-bt-yahoo, but they are unusual for Yahoo, they do specify encrypted connections.  Because you pay BT for the account, I think you should talk to them.  You can also find some general technical troubleshooting here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813514
