Incredibly slow Internet response time.

Original title: taskbar

I had a problem with incredibly response times Internet. After reboot, I discovered in the taskbar, the icon of the single computer that deals with network connections, i.e. wifi had an x in it, which means it is turned off. (This isn't the icon to connect to the LAN of double work). Because my PC is using wifi and is not also connected to the cable, I was wondering what task is connected to wifi.

I also noticed that my Internet speed of response actually works at an acceptable speed now that the icon shows it is off. Which task is this icon, so that I can disable it using msconfig and task is WiFi so that one is not?

I use a Dell desktop computer, through Time Warner Cable. I had the SP3 for some time and that you have not added any new programs or updates, that I remember for a while.

The only change in my computer added wifi (after moving to a new House/State) about six months ago.
As a further complication, when I logged on today, connecting to the wifi network shown in the taskbar opened and ran into a mode of connection 'very good '. So yesterday and the previous week, I had access to the Internet with it NOT connected. My taskbar displays a computer screen green with waves in the upper left corner and says "Netgear WNA3100 is connected to...". "my camera wifi router in the basement next to the TW modem.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that there are two connections wifi different trying to run... one that was working yesterday and one today showing tasks in my bar.
I blame that for my calculation of the slow speeds.

Looks like you have three icons of network connection...

1. area (cable) connection icon - two screens - probably with a red X

2. the icon of Windows wireless - a blue screen with 'waves '.

3 - Netgear wireless connection icon describe you it as 'green with waves screen '.

It also seems that maybe you think that 2 and 3 are separate connections. This is not the case, they will just separate indicators of the same wireless connection.

Reading between the lines a bit, my guess is that you used to have only 1 and 2, but now you have the 3rd too. If I'm right, probably, what happened is that you have started the application of Netgear wireless configuration, which experience tells me tends to 'support' of Windows wireless configuration without even asking if you want that to happen. All you need to do to get rid of this icon of the green screen is open the Netgear configuration (via its system tray icon) and find a check box saying "let Windows to manage my wireless network connection" (or words to that effect, in addition, it is that the word 'zero' in the text). If you have no network connection after doing this, then you were always in a Netgear configuration and you will have two choices...

  1. Start the Netgear form the menu start and reverse the changes that you just made
  2. Configure Windows to control the wireless connection

If you want to Setup Netgear instead of Windows use, I think that you will have to put up with the two icons.

  • Incredibly slow audio render times!

I have been dealing with his for awhile now on this documentary, I've worked on. When I export my script which is just around one hour, it takes almost 2 HOURS just to render the audio previews before it will export! Most of my calendar is a single track with no effect at all. Video makes it faster than the audio! The only unusual thing about my project it is largely composed of sequences of multi-cames long enough - about 30 sequences ranging from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. There appears PP is rendered audio for every bit of my source sequences even if only a few seconds or minutes of each of them is actually being used. I don't know what else could happen.

I thought that since some of the audio was recorded at 44.1 K perhaps it was a problem and some of the sequences had several audio tracks in order to solve this problem, I went through each sequence and made on a stereo mix to 48/16 and deleted the old audio. Which seem to help for a while as with CS6, I was getting a very annoying message "made necessary audio files' every time I touched the game until I made the audio that like I said really takes a lot of time. Also, I can make it but if I finish first and re - open, I have to make it all over again. It does not record audio files. First CC is better about reading without the rendered message, but she still need return to export. I have no idea why it would be necessary to render audio 48/16 source files.

I reported this to Adobe but just thought I'd put it here to see if anyone else has problems. If all rendered audio should never be held in this day and age, it must be extremely fast. This problem is really brought exports to a crawl for this project.

    screenshot2013-07-28at12.24.29pm.png

Adobe CC, OSX 10.8.4 on a 12 core Mac Pro with a GTX 570 32 GB of ram and WB Studio. My RAID is an internal raid in 3 disks with 3 drives 3 TB in RAID 0. The video makes charging properly. The situation would be better if the audio rendering reloaded at least but why he needs to make "Audio previews" for this sound simple is beyond me. And as I mentioned I've lived quite a bit of trouble to make it as easy on the first as possible by replacing all sound 44.1 with 48/16 wavs.

I found this on another forum:

There are MANY other problems that came on this project and so I was put on the Group of pre-release with Adobe, but the cause for the problem described above was due to the speed of audio transmission of the project does not not at the speed of transmission of audio clips. There a resampling them accordingly.

This seems to have solved it for me.  I opened my audio files in another program, re-sampled them and then put them back in first.

EDIT: I can confirm that it worked.

  • Slow internet latency time

Suddenly, my Macbook Pro seems trolling at the beginning of loading web pages. When I run a speed test, download and send are very fast and the latency is 24-30 m, but sometimes the test start not at all when it is measure of latency. There is a noticeable lag before pages begin to load. I compared it to a Macbook Air on the same wifi network and the Pro certainly seems more lag. Any suggestions?

I tried checking DNS and noticed that there is only a second DNS listed with an address a lot more long, bizarre (260:500:c100:fc4 and so on). This does not appear on the Air.

    I've rebooted, no difference.

Try system/network/advanced/DNS preferences and see if you can remove the section 260.

  • Very slow internet download

I use Windows 7.  When I use the internet, the download speed is incredibly slow.  Several times I am downloading of information for the job and it takes so long that I just give up and close the window!  I tried so many suggestions on how to improve the speed, but nothing really works.  I'm not a computer genius, so that many of the suggestions will just above my head.  Someone would be able to help me with a step by step solution?  I would be grateful!

  • EXTREME slowing windows 7 professional 64-bit response time, possibly problem driver network adapter? Help, please!

I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installed on a computer, I built

    Data sheet:
Processor Intel i5 750 (stock clocked & stock cooler)
    Card mother Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3P
    G. Skill Rip jaw DDR3 1333 RAM (standard timings)
Western Digital 640 GB SATA HD
Card EVGA 8800 GS SC Video
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card
    Powersupply Coairsair 650W
    Samsung SATA DVD writer

My problem is, after I started and had my computer running for a significant amount of time (30 minutes to an hour), I loose full internet connectivity and the response time for any action I'm trying of the preform is from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

This problem occurs almost every time my computer is started for a significant amount of time, and it's extremely annoying.

First Firefox, Google chrome, or internet Explorer stops receivers internet connectivity (because it is not sailing to any web page) but still related reports.

(during this time and on my computer don't report any anomaly, IE CPU utilization / ram uses / temperature are amounts all acceptable)

I usually try to close my browser (s) web, but its reports "not responding" and I cannot close or even end the process or the process tree, so it runs as a process. From there a program or a click I do I try to run either doesn't work or takes 30 seconds to 5 minutes to register if they register at all.

Programs I all ready have running continue to run, IE Vuze, WindowsMP, Zune software, openoffice. But once that I close them I can't reopen.

Any program I try to open starts a process in the Task Manager but it not to start a program or actually run, and I can't used to finish the tasks that do not work properly.

If I try to shut down windows, it takes a minute or so to begin to disconnect, then he sits on the "logging" off the screen until I use the power switch to kill the system.

I suspect that it may be a problem from my network card driver (Controller Realtek PCIe GBE Family, latest version downloaded directly from the Gigabyte website for my motherboard) because the question almost always starts when my internet stops working. However, this may be 2 combined numbers.

I had this problem and I thought it was because of an installation of bad windows 7 so I erased the hard drive and did a complete new installation, but the problem is back!

I changed my routers settings to give me a fixed IP address to dismiss questions here. All the other computers in my House have access the internet without interruption during my problems. And no other computer in my house has similar problems.

I reinstalled the network once drivers without success.

I would like to address the downturn extreme Windows 7 after half an hour or so if possible because I have other NICs lying there if the problem comes from the network card.

I'm pretty computer savvy and I've exhausted all my ideas, so any notice are useful! Thank you

OK, so I think that the slow issue is resolved now. I blame intel speedstep, while part of my problem is fixed.

    Internet connection problems still remain.

I ran my computer in safe mode with network for about 2 hours. When I booted in safe mode, everything was fine, internet connetion worked on download and upload at full power. I let it sit for an hour or two in safe mode and I came back and there is no internet again, as usual. All my browsers (internet explorer, my main browser firefox and chrome) refuse to function / load anything and their work will not end in the Task Manager. The device says it all works and it (network adapter) said I have a connection, but I am squatting me on my browsers or any other uses of the Internet. This test will run on a network interface card that I installed, with drivers. I did him wrong with shooting my motherboard cable network and its software driver port. This new card gives the same result, so I think now I know that this issue has nothing to do with my physical port or its drivers.

The only things I can think that it either now are either:
    my router
However, all the other computers in my house (3 of them, 1 win XP), 1 Win 7 64 bit pro, 1 Ubuntu and my Xbox 360 not having this problem and works perfectly

    or

Something inside windows 7 that control the browsers or manages connections,
I think it's most likely due to the fact that my browsers have problems in the Task Manager / they do not work properly

    All reviews are useful,

  • Connection of slow internet speed of Time capsule

I have a time Capsule airport of 5th generation 2 TB (802.11 AC) and a modem TP - LINK TD - 8816 ADSL2 (bridged) connected to the TC. In recent weeks, a very slow internet connection has been detected (get the go-ahead in TC and airport utility)

Of course, I started by judging my ISP but then realizes that configuration back to the modem for PPPoE over Ethernet, the connection achieved expected quotient of internet speed.

I have reset the TC back to the default settings (to erase all of the current settings) and set it up again with the new and cool settings. Same results.

For the record: I have experienced same speed slow results at the TC test by wireless or ethernet connections.

Airport Time Capsule is running 7.7.3

MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end 2013) OS X El Capitan 10.11.3

I came back to use the modem router Zyxel provided by my ISP with internet high speed optimal but misses my TC!

Thanks in advance for your support.

I'm in the same boat... There is something seriously wrong with the TC in PPPOE mode. And nothing you can do that on it. Apple has all the controls available in the outside world.

I got around it by using a modem router or other router between modem bridged and TC.

In the end I put the TC in static IP mode, and it worked very well with another router.

  • GPS vs V5 V6 slow response time

I use the sample code in html5_geolocation_sample.zip.

On a Bold 9700 running 5.0.0.714 version the response time to get a fix with enableHighAccuracy set to false is 3.5 seconds.

On a Torch 9800 running the version 6.0.0.246 response time using the same code as before with enableHighAccuracy again set to false was 429 secinds.

    Has anyone encountered this?

Any ideas on how to improve the response time?

I am located in a major metro area in the United States less than 1/4 mile of a pylon.

    Thank you

Seems to be a problem of carrier. When I switched to the use of enableHighAccuracy: true, I was able to get the response time for version 6 on the torch down to 10 seconds.

I remember one of those Blackberry developer days one of the presenters mentioned that some GSM carriers do not support cell tower fixed well. I guess I know that one of them now.

  • Wireless Photosmart C7250 AIO is printing slow response time

I recently had to reinstall my XP OS.  Since then, my C7250 takes up to 30 seconds to respond to the command 'Print' when using wireless.  Once it starts printing, it moves all along.  If you use the USB connection its response time is instantaneous, as it was wireless before my OS reinstall.  I made no changes to my router Netgear WGR614 v6 to more settings of the reinstall.  Any thoughts there?

Remove your printer from Control Panel > printers, then:

Verify that you can access the web page internal to the printer by its IP address.

    1. click on the 'Start' button--> printers and fax machines.
    2. under print jobs, click on "add a printer".
    3. click on 'Next' on the Add Printer Wizard window.
    4. Select "local printer attached to this computer. Deselect "automatically detect and install my Plug and play printer." Click "next".
5 under, select a Printer Port option, select "Create a new port" and choose "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "Next".
    6. in the "Welcome to the Add Standard TCP/IP printer port Wizard" make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the same network that your computer is connected to. click on the button "next".
    7. under "Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port" enter the IP address of the printer. Click 'Next' and then click 'Finish '.
    8. now select HP in the manufacturers list, select your printer in the list of the models of printers and click the button "next".
    9. If you can't find your printer, you will need to find the installation CD and use the 'Disc' option to select one of the files hp*.ini. You can also select another model of the same type HP printer.
    10. Add the name of print spooler, and then click "next".

  • WMP600n lag spikes and slow internet

    Hello

I have problems with WMP600n wireless adapter. I am a pc player, and that I play I get lag spikes with a ping up to 1000 +! Also when I browse the internet, its incredibly slow, or sometimes does not at all. I searched for updates and manually installed them but no luck. I'm kind of crazy because I spent $80 at staples for her. I use it with a router wireless g, but I did research before I bought it and he said it would work with wireless g, and I thought that if we always end up getting a wireless n router, I'll be ready. in any case, I want to enjoy my new computer, but it gets me pissed.

  • Firefox works incredibly slow (as in the window is barely functional, not anything related to connection speed) when I run some games on my computer.

    Hello

Last month, I got a strange problem with my Firefox browser in certain situations. The question is only apparent when executing some 3D games (most often when I run Diablo III). Each time these games is loaded my Firefox browser works incredibly slow. This isn't a question of a connection problem or such, the loading speed is very good, but the actual clicks, bookmark clicks, entered keyboard etc take a few seconds to register.

I tried Firefox running in failsafe mode which immediately makes the problem disappears. However, whenever I run it in normal mode the problem will be even if I disable all plugin and simple addon. I also tried to reinstall firefox and my addons and flash player times, the problem remains.

For what it's worth, another browser, I installed is not the problem at all (despite the same some addons installed - I only have 3 of them).

Someone has an idea what could be the problem? Is the failsafe mode inactivate the other thing the addons and plugins listed in the addon section?

    Thanks in advance

  • Computer pavilion laptop i7 incredibly slow

Hi, I have a hp pavilion 2321ss g6 with a processor intel core i7. I had for about 2 years. It had not occurred to me to use this forum til now.

Initially, he had run on win8, but he was almost inoperative (very slow) and I have upgraded to windows 10.

As I installed the new computer system was incredibly slow and lazy. Opening a program, for example a browser may take more than a minute, making it unusable. Old computers are faster. I think all the updates on the system are made.

Startup time is 300 seconds, and after that start it does not work well, on the contrary, it takes time to "warm up".

    What can I do?

    Thank you

  • The mail is incredibly slow since the update to El Capitan

    Hey,.

I use Mac OS X El Capitan v. 10.11.1 on a MacBook Pro, 2.8 GHz i7 with 16 GB of RAM. I'm 50 Mbit DSL online.

I never had any problems with sending or receiving mail. But since I upgraded to El Capitan Mac Mail has gotten incredibly slow and almost unusable. It will take up to 10 minutes to load a simple text message or attachment of the small (less than 1 MB) image. I don't have these problems when downloading something from a Web site. Download a 3 MB file takes 1-2 seconds.

Also sending emails is incredibly slow. It takes several minutes, also just for the mails in plain text.

And then Mac Mail seems often to synchronize, even if there is no new messages. It displays "loading 10 of 32 messages" which is stuck and loads forever. And nothing will happen until I restart Mac Mail several times.

I am managing 5 accounts IMAP with Mac Mail, which is more than usual but not an absurd number. In addition, I never had problems before. They are partly accounts Google App and partially Zoho.com.

Apple: What can I do to recover usable e-mail software? I don't want to go, but I have to examine it if it takes 10 minutes for an attachment to load.

    Thank you

That has solved it for me (found here on the forum):

    • Make a backup
    • Close mail
    • Copy the ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail folder to a different location (in case something goes wrong)
    • Delete the ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail folder
    • Restart the messaging

You will need to reconfigure parts of the mail, but it is now much faster. Let's see if that is still true.
