• AUSST - not able to display XML files in order to verify the proper installation of IIS

  We implement our Adobe update server in a Windows Server 2003 R2 32 bit environment.  I followed Adobe technical notes on the configuration of the server with IIS 6.  I changed the settings in IIS, including the addition of the definitions of .xml to the asp.net web.config file located in C:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG.

  The question we have is this: I am trying to check the file updaterfeed.xml according to the documentation, but it is not displayed.  I enabled the exploration of directory, which allows me to click each folder until I get up to the following path:

  There are 2 steps to solve the...

  Remove /updates/Adobe/CS/webfeed/oobe/aam20/win/updaterfeed.xml (make a backup of it) by AUSST server setup and then run AUSST mode incremental synchronization (option 2).

  If this does not resolve also the question then please share the newspapers again. also agree with the updaterfeed.xml file.

I have now lost ALL my favorites on my home PC. How can I get these?

I thought I'd have a chance to save bookmarks from my PC at home before I activated on this computer to synchronize bookmarks.

• Final synchronization (P2V)

  So I have a question that may be answered here.  I always learned that when I do a P2V, and I'm not ready to turn off the physical system to a final synchronization.  The P2V can take 3 hours or more to run through the initial copy.  The process is so. Preform a p2v and then plan the final synchronization occurs during the outage window.  Once the final synchronization made, power off of the physical integrity and then put on the virtual server and configure.

  An employee who is always right there is now this way.  After the final synchronization, this person will wait 2 or 3 days before the window down and then do another final synchronization and say that data that has been added between the final synchronization and the next final synchronization are copied at this time.

  This is completely against what I have known to be true.  It was my understanding that when you do a final synchronization, every bit on changing data are deleted as well as snapshots.  So I guess my question is, this procedure works.  I didn't know you could do a final synchronization and then make another final synchronization.

  The final synchronization completes the task (including specific services stop) and you can not do more than a final synchronization. That is why it is "final".

  During this time you can do incremental synchronization to be sure that your destination VM is located close to the machine running a lot, and the final synchronization will last time as possible.

  Hello, I have a few problems with the hearing, which I'm trying to fix. but ordered a decent sound card and thought rather than start looking for settings and the remedies of software in the forums, I would see if you think my problems are simply down to me using a cheap card. I hope that during the installation of these will disappear from questions, but if they are not, is there anything else I can do to improve things? IM interested to know what you think:

  1. Once finished recording, the track is always just a little out of time against everything I was recording on the other hand, and I have to drag and drop each track very slightly backward in time. It happened with 1.5 and 3.0, im used to IT... but its boring.

  2. (this only happens with 3.0), if im a long track (more than 5 minutes), reading from time to time registration will be stutter for a fraction of a second, which is very annoying, coz it means something registration after that this point is out of time, and it needs re-doing, ARGH!

  3 vst, such as guitar rig/amplitude work well, but as soon as I use them on several tracks, I can't even read. It's just a waste of stuttering. (it's more frustrating because I can't even blag through it, the only way to preview the vst sounds is to mix the whole project and listen back - Yes, VERY annoying).

  Yes, it could easily all be down to your Realtek. To start, you need Windows drivers, and that increases the latency time. If you get a decent sound device, then you can use its low-latency ASIO drivers and you'll probably find that you synchronize the problems disappear. Experiment with the settings memory buffer ASIO and your new device should optimize its performance in terms of drop-outs, I think. Hearing still works much better with decent sound devices.

  I have installation AUSST on our network. I can see the files via the browser on all the client machines, but when I run the tool of RUM, I get the error that the following updates failed to download: Photoshop. The logs says:

  Currently, my company has 2 data centers. One in New York and one in MY. A decision was made to close the data center of MY and I was instructed to get the virtual environment moves on the DC to NY. Some time, I would like to just physically move the ESXI hosts via UPS , the other decision that was made was to add new hosts esxi for the DC to NY. We will be upgrading the liaison network between the two sites.

  
  My first thought and maybe a bad one, was to use the converter and try to V2V from one domain controller to another. Now, I wonder if perhaps SRM can do this? I know that is not the purpose of SRM, then perhaps that my hypothesis is far fetched. If MRS can be used, just can it with the host replication? I don't know if the array based replication is an option yet.

  If I'm missing something and there is an easier way, please enlighten me

  Actually from vSphere 5.1, replication of vSphere SRM functionality was broken off SRM and is now provided with vSphere (all except Essentials license levels) as a stand-alone feature.  So, Yes, marknashe pouvez use 5.1 replication of vSphere functionality (assuming you are using vSphere 5.1?).   He works under the control of a single virtual circuit and does not need 2 VC (one on each site) as is the case with MRS. What is missing from this approach is automation for the migration process, the migration speed and a test feature (but maybe it's not important in this particular circumstance), however it does not cost anything and is a much better solution than V2V - ing your VMS, because downtime will be considerably reduced (VMs must be down to the final judgment & incremental synchronization).

  Second, the planned migration of SRM workflow is designed to meet for exactly this datacenter migration use case.  Several of my clients have used it for exactly that.   Initially, VMware didn't want RS to make use of, but it turns out that about 1/3 of SRM clients exactly what were doing anyway.  So now, VMware has blessed this particular use case with its own workflow.  In fact, it's exactly as a failover, except priority #1 is the integrity of the data; If there is no problem in the case of virtual machines on the live site or if there are final data synchronization (assuming async) then the workflow paused to allow the issue to be addressed before proceeding.

  Invest in RS is useful if you plan to operate in the future for DR automation... If not then vSphere 5.1 replication might be good enough.

  Basically, it does not matter this error message you get, just run the command again and I hope that it works fine the 2nd time.

  If this is not the case, try again until it works well at the 3rd time.

• Global variable in the progress bar

  I have an existing labview code that consists of a main vi, which is the GUI user, and several (about 70) under vi. I am trying to add a progress bar on the screen before (user GUI) which will be immediately after it hits certain sections of code. I write this using a global variable to store the value of the status and any attempt in the main on-screen progress bar after each increment. Is there a way to link the main progress bar value to the global variable so that it updates as soon as the value is incremented? The problem that I am facing is that when I update the global variable in a Subvi, the progress bar takes the value of the Sub - VI is finished, all the numbers to jump between the two. I know it's because I do not correctly write to the progress bar, but I don't know how to do. If this isn't a good method, are there any suggestions?

  I would go with a motor of Action update the progress bar VIA referance Server vi.  Here is an example of the use of a side effect I have to make this kind of progress bar.

  If you have not read Ben nugget of action engine, it should be mandatory, you can find here

  By building a "resource module" (a special AE that keeps a referance to the resource to act on) after initializint EI, you can call any 'method' on the resorce from anywhere in the instance of the application.  These babys really allow you to do interesting things to the GUI from around where the real action takes place.

  The problem is: after 1st run variable X is not reset to X 0, if VI stops immediately after it starts.

  The reason - 2nd loop is not executed, X 0 if value is not propagated to X.

  You want to first one case installation and after perform the different number of steps, based on the parameters for installation.

  A perfect place for one State (a single necessary loop usually) machine. You need an idle state when waiting for user input. After that the user starts the initialization state, which calculates the number of steps for other States required. At the end the system automatically moves back to the idle state, and waiting for the user to install and launch another race.

  No need to sequence meal structure at all. With a state machine, you can just do much more (like abandonment of sequence to Midway, is not possible with the structures of the sequence)
