  I had the same problem. At the same time hold the screen lock button and the home button until your iPhone restarts. That solved the problem for me.

  These Keynote files have been created on an iMac with Keynote 5.0.3 some on the current machine. On trying to reopen now, after the transfer to the MacBook and back again (while resuming the current iMac to El Capitan for OS X 10.6.8), text in a title on each slide area opens properly, but text in other boxes, some with bulleted lists, has each character replaced with a small rectangular box containing the letter 'A '. with these boxes tightly overlap.

  More info: I found out that this problem only occurs with text in Helvetica Neue. If I select the truncated text and change the font, the text appears correctly in the new font. I tried to install a new copy of Helvetica Neue in the font book and turning off the old, but it makes no difference. Each copy of Helvetica Neue works perfectly fine in other applications. It is more and more a puzzle!

  Hi all

  I must be missing something as my nested installation keeps failing.  I did that before, but with older versions.  I have a DellC6100 with L5639 CPU and 48GB of RAM.  I have configured the virtual computer as long as need HW v10, check mark "expose hardware virtualization assisted...» "with him 2 x CPU with 2GBRAM. The disc, I added was the drive by default 1 GB LSI Logic parallel.  This is the sequence of events after starting:

  

  

  

  Nothing after that... Any suggestions as to what it could be please?  I tried different versions of 5.5 and also a vDisk IDE.  Google is not much help...

  This is not a failure.  Looks like if you pressed Alt + F11 instead of F11.  Press Alt - F2 and you should be able to continue the installation.

• Object with several States and slider in the "folio" are pixelated, settings seem correct.

  I can't keep an object with several States to be rasterized text, as well as a slider which is also dithering.

  I don't know if I missed something, but it seems to work now. Maybe the v26 option (I deleted the old folio and recreated, and it works as expected now.)

  Can you send me a link to information about the scrolling content and the position of the document? The method I used the frame was from an article of Adobe, although it could be old.

• Starting problem with the gray screen on iMac

  Hello everyone

  I'm a bit puzzled with a problem I'm having with my iMac 27 "a model late 2009, bought in early 2010, I had built at the time with 8 GB ram, 2 TB HD and fastest i7 Quad core processor available at the time.

  I'm running El Capitan, and all wise OS is perfectly up to date.

  The other week, after a systematic restart, I have a gray screen and little else.  Another reboot and everything was "normal", so I did not concern me unduly.

  Today, after that the Mac had been idle for a time during a call, the screen fell asleep as usual (I do not SLEEP the computer itself), but during his return and touch the SPACEBAR and key "ESC", the screen remains black.

  So I made a forced shutdown and restart.

  I get the screen gray and normal startup (no other sounds) chime followed by the apple logo and the startup progress bar.  He gets to halfway through the long, and then instead of bring to the top of the login page, it's just going to a gray screen Uni.

  So I restarted in safe mode, OK and ran disk utility a couple of times - at the first crossing, he noted, there a problem with the map of partition which can cause problems starting, but on the second passes and the following, everything has been noted to be OK - and the SMART status of disk has been verified.

  After a reboot - the same question as above - of carillon, gray screen with the apple logo, progress bar and then just a gray screen.  I did another secure boot and re-run of disk utility, rebooted into recovery mode and run disk utility.  And again, no problems reported.

  Another reboot and the issue was always there.

  So this time I rebooted into recovery again mode and downloaded a new installation of El Capitan.

  Unfortunately, there is no set - it is always start on a gray screen after the startup chime, the apple logo and progress bar.

  I have also removed all my account account startup items and disconnected all USB devices.

  I'm a bit lost for what to do next to be honest!

  Is there anything else I can do software wise, at home, or is it time for the repair material re shop perhaps?

  Just a quick update which may help to determine what the problem is: I restarted in safe mode, after the reinstallation of the operating system was unable to initialize properly - grey screen again.

  However, as I have a home network, I found that I can not connect on the network with my MacBook Pro to the iMac, see all my files user on the iMac and even copy them across to the MacBook Pro with no problems.

  Everything on the iMac is saved via Time Machine on a Western Digital Firewire HD 3to.

  I also have uncompressed manual 'straight' copies of my music, movies, documents folders, etc, for an old time Capsule, currently acting as a bridge to my ethernet network wireless, and provide additional backup for those critical files - my music for example is ripped 350 odd CD, all legally purchased in ALAC on iTunes on the iMac - which represents a couple of months of work... lol... no way I want to lose that!

  So I'm a bit of a loss.  Disk utility reported no problem with the drive... I can boot into safe mode and recovery, but normal mode 'mode '... I always get the chime, the screen with apple logo and progress of the gray bar, then goes to just a gray screen instead of the login page.

  Help!

  Avoid copying files from one computer to the other. It won't work. You run out of hidden files scattered around the hard drive and interrupt the licensing mechanism.

  Uninstall, run the cleanup tool.

  Reinstall from scratch and enter your serial number.

  Argh it's frustrating! I never noticed that the key was not working in InDesign.

  A bit of research and it turns out that the MS Office has this as an option in their software. But I can't find an option in the InDesign preferences to make it work.

  However, somethings do not appear in the shortcuts and preferences and are hidden triggers in InDesign that are accessible via a script.

  I'm not saying that it is possible to activate the button insert by using a script, but it is plausible that he can be activated.

• InDesign CS5 file types not recognized in Windows

  I recently purchased CS5 Design Premium and installed on my Windows XP SP3 System. Everything seems to work fine, with some apparent bugs and interface text a little more tiny I like (especially in Photoshop, even with the size of the defined interface to large). But those who are for another post.

  Both InDesign (INDD and INDB) file types are not in the Windows of the registered file types list. When I check the list of types of saved files to the InDesign file types, I see only IDAP, IDML, IDMS and IDPP.

  What this means is that when I double-click an InDesign document or book, Windows does not know what to do with it. Propose me two options: browse the Internet for a proper application for this file type, or open with a specific application. I tried to manually assign an action 'open with InDesign' INDD files, but it will not 'take '. I have to redo on a regular basis. (Also, I couldn't find an InDesign icon to associate with the file type. Where can I find this icon, I wouldn't be able to repair this problem correctly?)

  I have not tested all the other programs in CS5 Design Premium, but Photoshop has at least correctly assigned to Photoshop PSD icons and Windows recognises PSD as Photoshop documents.

  I guess it's a bug or it has something to do with a failure in the installation.

  My question is, can this be fixed without uninstalling and reinstalling CS5? (I don't want to do, because it takes an unreasonable number of hours.)

  Unfortunately this is a symptom of a bad installation, and the best advice is to uninstall, run the clean script, restart with the bare minimum of statups and services required and reinstall.

• InDesign CS5 will work with MacOS Sierra?

  Has anyone tried to see if InDesign CS5 will work with MacOS Sierra? I have creative cloud and CS5 on my machine, but due to some of the things that I have to work that only work with CS5 to CS6 I have to keep my old software. I hesitate to upgrade to Sierra until I know if InDesign CS5 will work or not.

  If anyone has tested this, I would be recognizing the return flow, thank you.

  It really depends what you do with it, and a large part of the framework has changes in the operating system for how the application is designed to run in. Your workflow can cause problems when the application works for others or you might be able to use it, but keep in mind has more no support for CS5 Adobe or Apple, so do not expect to solve any problems that you can discover.
