  See replace your preferences and use whatever method that you do not try the first time.

• % sign disappears in a dynamic text field in CS6

  I have this text with multiple lines of text displaying the last line 'x % accuracy '. It works fine in Flash CS4. I'm trying to upgrade to CS6, but the % sign disappears in the text field. Using trace, I still see the % included in the string of the variable, but it does not display it in the field. % Sign is reserved for something in Flssh CS6? I do not change the text: %, which would make the line too long.

  I found I have to embed the font for CS6 or the % is missing. I don't have to do it in CS4.

  Please check if you can find the fill & sign tool under the 'Tools' option or not.

  Let us know the version of application Adobe point and OS that you use.

  If you use Windows, try 'Repair Installation' under the Help menu.

  All my models seem to do that.  I have applied the model to all the support pages and the dollar signs, I have in my code disappear causing my pages stop working... so I have to manually add all the $

  This is because as the action attribute in a

  tag normally takes a URL. Creating Dreamweaver templates engine updated URLS in child pages to match the location of the page in the site hierarchy. A URL cannot start with a dollar sign, so Dreamweaver it strips.

  People, I will try to find a Control Panel tool in Adobe Indesign CC but I can't. This never happened to me before. I forgot to close, but I tried to look inside "window > tools but no luck." There is no option. I'm on Macbook. Please help.

• InDesign CS5: Signs of Zombie

  I had this problem with CS4, but it seems much more persistent (and boring) in CS5: panels that insists to reappear whenever you switch workspaces, no matter how many times you close them.

  Panels that appear are panels of the library and the sample buttons Panel. This happens whenever I spend the workspaces and often when I started the application. The panels library sometimes reappear after being inactive for weeks. To my knowledge, I never intentionally opened the Panel buttons of the sample.

  I did all the usual things. I deleted my preferences user, restart InDesign, rebooted. I have gone through each of my workspaces and all the unwanted panels removed individually, then re-recorded the workspaces. More than once. I even deleted my workspaces and rebuilt from scratch. But signs continue to pop up - usually right in the middle of the desktop computer.

  The problem of the library panel can be fixed by deleting or moving the library. But my libraries live in some places on my hard drive for a reason, and it seems silly to keep moving them simply to prevent a problem that shouldn't happen in the first place. (Kind of like playing Whack-a-Mole InDesign).

  Anyone has any ideas on what's going on?

  You don't mention your OS, so I don't know where to send you, specifiacally, but I would try to close ID, and then rename the InDesign SavedData file (you will find the information of path to replace your preferences ) and then I go to your user library or a profile and find the Workspaces folder and delete all the XML files with the word "current" in it and then restart ID

  I bought 4 years Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Standard. I just changed the PC. Then I disabled the version installed on my old PC and install and activated more on my new pc version. Now, I have two problems:

  -In InDesign, most of the tools located on the Panel left, right and top of his show. The boxes are not clickable. FYI, my screen at a resolution of 3200 x 1800.

  -J' wanted to install updates in the hope that it fixes the bug. But everytime I try it crashes before the end of the installation with the following message is displayed:

  "Failed to install, the following updates. If you want to install, the problems below, then try again.

  Adobe InDesign CS5 7.0.4 update

  An error occurred during the download of the update. Quit and try again later. "

  The problem is repeated every time when I get to the download.

  The problem:

  When editing in InDesign my text disappears. I have to wait, DESACT and then click back, or to zoom or zoom out to get the text back. This happens on multiple files, various size documents and it happens sporadically. Perform a restart of the whole system will sometimes fix the problem for about 5 minutes and then it will start again. It's really bad in my productivity and make me question my subscription to Adobe. I need this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.

  Here is what I tried:

  • Complete the uninstall and reinstall the program

  • Several reboots

  • PC Cleanup

  • Updated graphic driver

  • Text wrapping is set to off

  None of these solutions solves the problem.

  Reinstall not rebuild preferences, which is the first line of defense against the tedious.

  Quit in InDesign, and then open it again while maintaining the control, Alt and shift keys (command, Ctrl, Option, and shift on a Mac). When you receive the alert of "Delete preferences"?, release the keys, and then click Yes/ok.
