  I had this problem, since the suite has been installed, but recently got a lot slower. Whenever I have click on open or save, it takes 8-10 seconds just for the upcoming dialog.  CS1 has quick relief - I know it was hundreds of years ago, but I can't help but compare the two.  I have the same problem with InDesign and Illustrator. The suite is running on a Windows 7 computer with a home network, access files of a machine XP as a Buffalo Linkstation.  Once the dialog box appears, and I double click, the file is pretty quick to appear.  I did research online and I think that the problem was in the network or settings.  The network is fast, Windows Explorer has no delay in opening the search for files or other programs outside of the Creative Suite. I did an experiment to refine the problem - I closed Photoshop, disconnected the network cable and reopened the program.  WONDER - it was so FAST to open the dialog box for opening and saving files!  I closed and then Photoshop again, plugged the cable network Photoshop to and open back.  He was back at the slow opening of the dialog box.  Everything else in the programs works fine - no delay during the execution of the operations in one of the Creative Suite - it has to do with the network and how CS is looking for the files.  Can someone help me, I'm so frustrated - it adds unnecessary time to everything I do and I'm afraid to open and save files!

  Have you tried to work with the display of the dialog box at all under Windows 7 under the drop to organize (left side)? Also, is - one of your Favorites in this dialog box are pointing to something that might be offline?

  I've never been good with gradients but the gist.

  I did a 'Sky' degraded.  But when I want to "reverse" the gradient, I can't understand how do.  In other words, make a gradient as seen on the left below, then click on a button and it makes blue top and white on bottom.  See below:

  

  Also, once I have a gradient that is put in place, how save it is in my gradient swatches?

  In the gradient palette, set the Angle to 90 degrees instead of the current 0.

  Seems that you exported (Interactive) PDF format instead of choose PDF (Print) in the drop-down menu, one of the Print presets from file > Adobe PDF presets...

• Problem of ball when creating tables and blocks of text in InDesign CS5

  Every time I have create a new text frame or a table in InDesign CS5 and paste information, the first row in the table or several lines of text out with chips. I don't know that it's a style at some point, I created and am now unsure how to remove or setting. I would like the new blocks of text and tables do not include by default when imported or pasted chips. Any thoughts? Thank you!

  Default values for the text in the current document are made with no selected text. Disable the chips and they should stay off (but check styles, also, you have perhaps accidentally set a style bulleted as the default and you must change the default style instead). If this is the case in all files, you must do with nothing open to reset the default for all new documents (existing files, must unfortunately be set one at a time).

  In our agency, we encountered a problem since update to OS X 10.7 Lion. Our Indesign CS5 and CS5.5 keep if crush on we whetver we open an existing document or create a new. We tried to clean up our facilities, removed both, installed just CS5 and / CS5.5 - trashed preferences etc pp. Nothing has worked.

  InDesign opens as it should-, but at the moment where we have to create a document, what it crashes just with the ball of spinning - someone else can recreate the issue? We use some plugins in indesign only the app "Fontcase" since the Appstore to maintain our collection of fonts... but we even tried to disable this app to see if it can help - without success.

  We currently cannot configure your new system because it is a lot of time and just our last choice... is there another way to find the problem? We also never see the adobe crash reporter... not even after 10-15 minutes as stated in the OS x lion question list.

  Can help you... Do you know if Indesign and Illustrator CS5.5 files are compatible with CS5?

  We have Creative Suite Design Premium CS4 on one computer and CS5 on the other machine - it's a nightmare because things designed on CS5 machines cannot be opened on the other machine without major headaches. I so need to upgrade machine CS4 CS5, Adobe went and highlighted the CS5.5... except that and so it is now prove difficult to obtain a CS4 CS5 update.

  As a result, what will happen if I CS5.5 on a machine and CS5 on the other? We still have compatibility issues?

  All I'm saying is that it is better to have all the machines on the same version.

  That said, if you can get them all about CS4, CS5 or CS5.5 - a version not cross breed files if you share them with your colleagues.

  You posted in an old, dead, forum. But now, I found your message... Acrobat is not compatible with InDesign, they did not need to work together. You should NEVER use always distill with InDesign, export. Acrobat Pro preflight tools has, and the only version you can buy is Acrobat Pro DC.

  You can place a PDF file in an InDesign document, but you cannot modify it. You can make small amounts of editing PDF documents in Acrobat Pro.

  I wonder if your client is thought to an Acrobat form, where users can add data to text boxes and so on.
