  Thanks for the kind reply. In fact before checking your response, I checked in my system there was the .msi from the Skype software installation file was missing. so I installed the same version installation file and then uninstalled the software.

• InDesign CS5.5 loss of connection to readers + not opening properly

  PROBLEM 1:

  Been having this problem at work for a while and the guy TI must always be able to find a solution.

  Our NAS disk seems to have serious problems with InDesign CS5.5 (and sometimes opportunities as well). I'm working on Windows 7. When you look through files (namely, the thumbnails of the images) on our drive NAS while having an InDesign CS5.5 was the file open, we lose connection on all drive the InDesign file and InDesign crashes. Sometimes little matter what drive the InDesign file is on - crashed when using a file on the NAS drive, but especially when we use a file on a separate network drive. More often than otherwise the InDesign file has nothing to with the NAS at all, no linked images or something like that to him. The error message reads:

  The network connection has been lost for the file... W:\DESIGN...etc, or the file has been modified by another process.

  The details of the NAS disk are:

  PROBLEM 2:

  We often need several goes to get actually InDesign to open a file correctly. For me, if I click on an InDesign file to open it, InDesign opens and I see that the file is semi there but the work plan everything is gray and I can't click on anything and finally just turns into "NOT RESPONDING" and I have to force quit and restart. Sometimes this happens several times before actually open. It's really frustrating and a huge waste of time!

  There are 3 designers in our office and we have all 3 these two problems occur sometimes several times a day.

  The error "the network connection has been lost" is actually a function implemented in InDesign by design.   I'm having a problem with printing Indesign CS5.5 booklet. I've not used it before, so I'm not too familiar with it, but here's my problem:

  I am print the document (made up of format letter pages face to face) format PostScript, then conversion to PDF with Distiller. When I preview the document in the print booklet dialog box, it looks good and shows all the pages face to face in the right order. But when I print the PostScript file and use Distiller to convert it to a PDF file, all that I get in my final file are the same pages (the 'left').

  I try to print my file on tabloid paper so that my book ends of letter size. But printing booklet pages sends are only letters of size. It's as if somehow in the process, the odd pages are cut off and I find myself only with pages the same letter size.

  No idea what I am doing wrong? How can I get the pages to finish on tabloid paper and loses not all pages?

  Any help you might be able to provide would be much appreciated!

  It seems that the file is not set to tabloid in postscript, so it is of culture off the coast on the right side. Print PostScript for distilling is quite complex on Mac these days. You must use the AdobePDF ppd, not independent device, and I do not think that it is installed anywhere, by default.   I've been porting on my workflow in CS4, CS5, and yesterday I was adding a pre-defined customized document. When you save it, my fingers is triggered when you type in his name and accidentally hit the return key (instead of delete, after making another mistake!), so I now have a "Preset" with an incomplete name cluttering up the list.   I have a solution for this!   After I created this post, I created a ticket with support and they solved it for me.

  Here's the skinny: El Capitan has changed something wise permissions to access data files on the Bootcamp partition.  VMWare said they were working to solve this, but in the meantime they had me do made me upward and short... just remove the entry of the virtual machine Boot Camp in Fusion and recreate it.   I recommend you save beforehand in case where, but this process does not affect the data on your partition, only one definition of the Fusion of the virtual machine and how you can access your score.
