Here are some files which are in the dumps Windows. ;

The client opens the items on a mapped network drive.

I tried the command Ctrl-Shift-Alt and that seemed to work when I applied it last Wednesday and the client stopped having problems until today when it crashed.

The program is updated, I'm looking for other suggestions.

CS6 is unsupported under El Capitan. A lot of problems with this combination and CS6 having reached the end of LIFE, you can restore your previous operating system, upgrade to creative cloud or learn to live with it.

  • InDesign CS6 crashes

    Hello

Can someone help me, please? InDesign CS6 crashes whenever I start it. I apologize in advance if I'm like a broken record, but I've read about most of the other post that had the same problem, but none of the suggestions solved my problem. I deleted my preferences and uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign CS6 several times. Also, it crashes when it is in trial mode after a clean reinstall.

To give you more information, my Macbook Pro crashed a month ago. Once it has been resolved, I migrated my information to my Time Machine backup and upgraded to Mac OS X 10.10. I'd need to use InDesign CS6 for the first time since the crash yesterday (27/10/2015). That's when I noticed the problem. Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 both work perfectly well.

You can read the full report here:

    You run 10.11.

  • InDesign CS6 crashing with the single document

-Very well, so I use InDesign CS6 and MacBook Pro OS X 10.9.3.  To the best of my knowledge, everything is up-to-date, but I'm relatively new to Macs and InDesign.

I'm formatting a work report.  It is a long document, about 80 pages, made up mainly of texts with a few tables, etc.  I was working on this document, a few weeks ago, then it was put on hold and I'll be back for her earlier.  However, it seems that he has developed a bug and I can load it properly, but after a few minutes of work, he hangs and I have to force quit.

I did some preliminary troubleshooting on the web and I learned that you are supposed to reset your preferences of ID or something, so I did it successfully and the problem persists.

I tried to work on other documents, and I did have the program crash, yet.

Then the logical assumption would be that the file is corrupted, right?  Well I have is come to this conclusion and tried to create a clean document, copy and paste the text of the original document in a frame in the new document.  But the problem persists.

Is there a way I can recover my document?

This is the report, but it seems not familiar to me regarding the signing of the accident, and looks like it hangs in the database (the file itself, not an operation on this subject), that's not promising.

You really exported the text as tagged text and that did not import successfully into a new file?

  • InDesign CS6 crashing when you try to change paragraph styles

    I'm under InDesign CS6 8.0.1 on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.8.2

Whenever I double click a paragraph style to try to change it, InDesign freezes and won't let me leave. When I try to quit smoking by using the menu in now and clicking on the InDesign icon in my dock I get error message saying that "cannot handle request a dialogue model or alert is inactive.» Then I have to force quit. On the revival of demand all my personal creative return to default values (space, typography, etc.)

I don't know if this is related, but I found at random a .idms file on my desktop today still. Not sure where it belongs or it comes. (Snippet_30719E70D.idms)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The error seems to indicate that the edit style dialog box is open, but not visible. Try closing or relocation of some windows, if you can.

  • InDesign CS6 crashes when I try to copy a chart

I work in CS6 with a document that has been converted from CS4. I want to move a chart from one location in the document to the other, but when I try to copy it, InDesign crashes immediately. Does anyone else have this problem?

I work on a PC, and I think that the original file was created on a Mac.

It turns out that the culprit was a bad font in the image. I opened the image in Illustrator and converted to outlines police. That solved the problem! By the way, this a problem of image/font (this image is used in a few different manuals) also caused InDesign to crash when I exported in PDF format.

People from Adobe, if you're reading this, it would be great if the problematic fonts in images were detected by InDesign, as an error in the control panel for errors of liaison and the police currently similar upstream it. I don't see a way to detect this easily now (how to refine the image which is a problem when working with 50 + images in a document?) Is it possible that I don't know?

  • InDesign CS6 crashed shortly after opening a file

    Hello

I searched the web to answer this but have had no luck. I recently opened a file that was working fine but suddenly does not open. I opened the file INDD CS5 and decided to try the CS6 to see if it would work.

    Here's my process.

    1. I open the file
    2. 7 seconds after the file opens, I get the message "Adobe InDesign CS6 has stopped working"

I am sure that it is a matter of link of image or a police problem, but he invites not to replace fonts or find the images.

    Any suggestions?

    Peter

We tried to open on the other two systems. Both open the file and Indesign falls down after about 7-8 seconds. Do you have a recommendation for a font manager that might help my situation?

  • Export html - InDesign CS6 crashes

I'm a 60 page magazine every month.  With the help of CS5.5 I exported to HTML to provide the web team with the correct files to build their web pages in Word Press.  When I tried to do this in CS6, the result has created several empty folders and the program crashed.

In addition, I am looking for the best way export information for the web.  A little research made me the use of XML export that would produce usable by Word Press tags, once I have them programmed in InDesign.

Any help on these topics would be appreciated.

I understand that the information on your problem is perhaps not there.

This forum is for issues of creative cloud. Some InDesign users can read your message here and be able to offer assistance. But people in the InDesign forum are users of InDesign. Also employees of Adobe working on InDesign and support staff who know InDesign read the forum and can jump in to help.

So I'm not dissuade you from posting here, you just cannot receive the help you need.

  • InDesign CS6 crashing when exporting to PDF (not problem of fonts)

I tried to export my PDF with all the different types of settings. It is only an 8-page document. It has about 15 jpg low resolution in it. I used a font Adobe stock. There are several hyperlinks in the file, but for most it is just text. I have no idea how to solve this problem. And of course, I need it to work tomorrow. I get a message saying error it is the overlay text on 3 of 8 pages, but I don't think it's something that could cause this problem. Any ideas? Thank you!

  • InDesign CS6 (CC edition) crashes on save/export

I have problems with InDesign CS6 crashing whenever I try to save or export a document that I just finished. It has never been saved before, other documents save and close very well, I tried to remove all links from the file, and it still crashes on save. I tried to copy it, and it crashes at the time wherever I said to place the document on the Clipboard. I don't know what else could POSSIBLY cause this accident. There is no report of accident or mistake.

Either there is a problem in the file (and there may be corrupted images, text or images in a file not saved) or there is a problem on your system. If you cannot export (and it was not clear, that you tried to export to .idml), then the best bet is to try to move pages to a new document and if this fails, try to copy and paste.

  • Establishment of environment of Visual Studio 2015 for the creation of plugins for InDesign CS6

Hello, I am currently developing plugins for Adobe InDesign CS6 and I am currently using Visual C++ in Visual Studio 2015 and I can't import Adobe environment in visual studio, because the available guide refers to Visual Studio 2010.  Should which directory I pay to go to what parts of the SDK?  Thank you very much.

    Hi Jacob,

Some tips for you, VS 2015 is not recommended for dev environment. CS6 InDesign plugin. You will meet all kinds of issues if you use for creating plugins CS6 2015, are some of the issues you may face

    1. Compilation or linking errors
    2. Random crashes, while the plugin is running, if you manage to get that much.

The main reason for this is the different versions of libraries CRT used by different versions of VS, which used once all causes all sorts of compatibility issues.

I would recommend that you follow the recommended by Adobe in the SDK VS version.

Now in regards to putting in place the project settings, you must configure the following paths mainly to point to different paths of the SDK

    1. Include paths for the C++ compiler, these are directories that contain different header files. This will contain multiple paths, see the sample project SDK for more details
    2. Path for libraries that need to be linked to your project, see Linker of a SDK project.
    3. Include the path to the resource compiler
    4. Apart from this, you can also set the executable directories, as shown in the screenshot you attached. This is used to designate certain executables that are used during the accumulation of the generation of the project phase.

You could refer to the sample project SDK for details, I would recommend that you base your new project on a sample project of SDK software for beginners and once you are comfortable with the settings, you can go ahead and write your own project to project depending on how you like to your Setup project the configuration files. For more details on how to write configuration files for VS projects to do a google search on it.

Hope that this info gets you started.

  • I get a certificate error when starting Adobe InDesign CS6 - RESOLVED

(Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I couldn't find one that seemed right to me)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I open InDesign CS6, this window appears:

I read here that it's to do with authentication of Web site, so I don't see why it should come in InDesign.
If I click View Certificate, I get this:

All the other Adobe programs work fine, but if I ignore the box and try to use InDesign, it crashes. If I click on Yes, I continue to use InDesign as usual.
