• InDesign, find and reissue of links to files not existing in the document

  I have the creative cloud solution and so the latest version of InDesign. I am currently working with an 'old' document - a newspaper, 6 issues per year. I always open the last number, delete all the files and images and then I begin to put the new files. I noticed that when I opened this document, InDesign is finding a relinking 3985 links, but I have only 200 links in this document?
  What is going on? Is this can slow down InDesign the? I think it works really slow...

  Your workflow is a recipe for disaster. While InDesign tends to be fairly stable and continuous 'recycling' of output files can cause the accumulation of cumulative long-term corruption of minor which eventually led to the failure.

  A newspaper must be based on the template file that contains master pages for various configurations of page, static content, and all required styles. Each number must be a fresh document based on the template. You can probably safely copy and paste continuous content such as ads from number to number, but I prefer to place them in the fridge.

  Well, right now I have the JDE since I am using the debugger + emulator but for

  building, I just scripts that I derived from the build log JDE. I never tried to export all

  from the JDE proj/workspace files but I had to look briefly to understand

  the tools a little command. All I have is the bash scripts that call rim

  tools and things like curl to upload and g ++ preprocessor or sed/awk for simpler

  customization tasks (I guess in retorspect that it could be made with the preprocessor)

  but originally, I was trying to avoid what turned out be a mistake. )

  I cleaned up a bunch of stuff when I joined the subversion and I found myself with

  the short build scripts that run a script called 'setup' in the local directory to obtain lists of

  source files. Build or need specific options, and then go in different scripts do.

  It works well as good now I can modify the code, run up arrow shot ".» "/ mymake ' for

  a new building then '. '. "/ 8130sh" to launch the emulator in a separate window or '. '. ' / mypost1 ' to

  I am running Mac OSX 10.8.5 using Indesign CS6.

  In the previous Indd, 5.5 I have set the image directly, binding not only the record, but also to the image itself, so that the original image was 'caught' and automatically highlighted.

  This is very useful for me. I can't find this setting in CS6. Does anyone have an idea to solve this problem?

  I'm not sure that it works for everyone, and certainly will not work if the file is not in the folder (and if ID takes you to the folder where the image has lived, or the last folder where you relinked, is something preferably, make things even worse).

  When you click the menu drop-down in the character Panel, nothing is displayed - see photo. You can begin to type a font and change the font in this way, but you cannot display fonts.

  That said, if you run El Capitan, CS6 is not taken in charge and there were a host of problems reported with this combination. CS6 has reached the end of life and will not be updated.

  last week I got an annoying problem, or maybe I didn't know how this function works, or if it is still possible.

  
  I am a convinced user first CS6, but some features are better in Final Cut - sorry I have to admit.

  Last week I had a first CS6 project to finish (it was already edited 90%). I recognized this sequence got 1 Audio track with L and R channel and just the R channel was helpful (the L has been trash).
  I just couldn't not to throw the channel L. I had to go back to the project window, edit clips, place the R channel in the stereo channel, synchronize all audio tracks manually and then replace the stereo track by the R channel. It worked, but I had to the wast time to correct this. There may be a simpler solution in my opinion.

  I first tried in the timeline to disable the L channel, and that (as in the final cut) by pushing a slider on the side R in the center of the channel mono-R is symmetric left and right all also that he had no such cursor. Something like this would be a great improvement in the future and save time if you set up a project in a way that is not useful .

  There may be a simpler solution in my opinion.

  There are.  Just add a level of track fill right effect in the mixer.  Maybe five seconds worth of work (if you're lazy about it).

  Framework to match the video.  Opens the clip in the Source monitor with set In/Out points.  From there you can simply drag down audio and connect it to the video.

• CS6 facility and what to do with CS5.5?

  I am a new user of Creative Suite. Just installed CS5.5 Standard a couple of weeks on my Windows7 (64-bit) laptop. Use the products and apps since then without any problems.

  I have qualified for the CS6 upgrade, go download shortly, and had questions about how to manage it to ensure that all goes well.

  1. Will be this install a completely separate program (or rather, a suite of programs), or just 'profit' and ' improve' the existing CS5.5? Which means, after that I run the CS6 Installer, there will be only a single CS on my system, and it will be the new version 6? Or I'll have two independently, turn the TWO CS5.5 and CS6?
  2. If it gives rise to two versions:
  3. Can I use my serial number even to register?
  4. Should I completely uninstall CS5.5? To save hard disk space and make the new version (6) functioning properly? Must I "de-register" version CS5.5? (and should I do it after installing CS6? (Or before?)
  5. Are there advantages/disadvantages to 'holding' installed both (if it happens)?
  6. What settings I have set in my existing CS5.5 (dictionary, menus, etc.). Will transfer to the CS6 upgrade? Do I need to import, or which will be done automatically?

  Answers in the order of your questions:

  1. The programs are sepoarate. Your CS5.5 wil functional lremain and avialable.

  3. You have separate series for both versions and the CS5.5 it is considered to be one of the upgrade
  4. Keep it around. The forums are ful lof bug reports. CS6 only cares about CS5.5, thus, nothing is certain. If you unisntall, do it before installing the CS6.
  5. Benefits: You're working with a proven secure version, to halfway, when you keep CS5.5 autour. Also as plugins for Photoshop are not yet being updated, people wil lrequire to work with older versions of compatibility.
  6. Do not transfer the parameters. You must set up fees and use the import / export features for example, brushes, layer style and so on in Photoshop. Same for other programs.

  X UI Photoshop CC 2014 preference 2 will work also on your display 4 K by running like 1 K screen 1920 x 1080.  This is not an option in CS6.

  Series a beta version is valid only during the beta and is not valid after several years. You must purchase your own license. I wonder if the Version worked so long after the liberation, normally, it stops to work when a product reaches the market.

• Content overlay Web in InDesign CS6

  I am trying to display an html file with the content of the Web, Overlay in InDesign CS6. When previewing the file with the content viewer, a large part of the html/css integration displays incorrectly (i.e. elements shifted block, check do not show hacks, border radius unsupported, etc...). The site is far from being semantically correct, but dispays perfect in all modern browsers. Is this just a limitation of the content viewer?

  in place of the image files EPS PhotoShop, InDesign is able to calculate the effective PPI.

  Not in the links Panel, but with its preflight feature.

  

  Here is an example for some parameters with a preflight profile.

  Note: The values are examples. Insert values that correspond to your needs.

  

  Set your minimum values high enough and you will be reported on each value effective ppi for every PhotoShop image placed in your document.

  In my view, an expected behavior would be to calculate the effective ppi for PhotoShop EPS images in the links Panel.

  Like preflight display, it can be done.
