No error message! Arrived at startup. @59 cycles running!

Yes models with Intel processors and nVidia video as your turn off not as frequently as AMD processors, but not immune to the question. There was a class action lawsuit and a reminder for similar models years and yours is known to suffer from the same issue. The video chip delaminates from the motherboard due to excessive heat and, initially you get just scrambled video then at some point it wil not start. You've got almost 8 years out of it which is like 100 years in the life of dog for a laptop. The motherboard can be repaired for maybe $60 if you are able to remove and ship just the tip to a professional "reballing" store that will use precision laser-guided equipment to paste the video chip properly on the motherboard and this difficulty will last 2 years maybe more.

There are also a few new laptops, awfully good.

  • Pavilion dv9700: laptop does not turn on but lights flash

I have a Pavilion DV9700, service tag dv9925r. When I turn on the power, the power led and the led on top flash, I can hear the fan and drive spinning, but the screen stays black and after one or two seconds the lights out, but then continue to Flash on then close. When, I hear the fan running.

    What I've tried;

Hung still no display on an external monitor

Removed and reinstall the memory and hard drive, not good.

Tried the hard reset, not good.

I put another hard drive just to see if the disc was not, but no difference.

There is no audible beeps at all. It does not seem to go through the checkpoint.

  • dv9700 display problem

I'm working on DV9700 a friend with a black screen. When I turn it on, the screen will appear dark gray (as black with contrast turned way down) and thin vertical lines grey light. The laptop is booting, since I can listen to music when he gets to the login screen (I just can't see it). The video works externally via the S-video port, but I don't have a VGA cable to test this port, although I suppose who would also work.

What are the chances that it's just something simple like the Display Inverter Board or a cable pinched, instead the LCD screen be? Is there a way to test the replacement inverter Board not she? Is there a table somewhere that could tell me what should be the output voltages (if any) of it?

I'll end up taking that left hinge cover off later so that I can ohm on the display cable and see if it is possibly pinched or one of the wires broke through years of opening and closing the lid.

Thanks for your suggestions that anyone can have on the resolution of this problem.

Edit: I found a VGA cable and tested on my external monitor and it works fine. I guess that's not a victim of the failure of the infamous GPU :-)

In case anyone is interested, it was not the inverter Board or the GPU; It is the LCD screen. I found a new finish mat 17 "replacement for US$ 90, and now it is like new. I like the matte finish much better than the brightest screens in any case.

My friend decided that she didn't want to pay that much for a laptop backup, so she gave it to me on the premise I have wipe the hard drive and start over. It was good for me, because I didn't have one of his tricks, including e-mail and other private things. I restored back to the day, uninstalled all the fluff that comes with each PC brand, updated to SP2, IE9 and all updates of current security and drivers, made an image of the C: partition and restored this image to a larger HARD drive. Got rid of the HP recovery partition since I don't need more :-) Now, I've got me a portable decent I can leave with my GF so I must not lugging my other around.

  • T9000 - display cable problem?

    Hello

3 weeks ago, my laptop screen started to stay black. If I waited a few minutes he blinked white and after that, he remained white. A google search resulted that the display cable may be damaged. I changed the cable and it worked a few days. Now, I have the same problem again. The dark thing is that, if I unplug the display cable to the graphics card (under keyboard) and reconnect it again, this works very well, but I think this isn't the best solution. Has anyone ever experienced this kind of problems, or any expert Toshiba does know something about this?

    sincerely
    Hans

    Hi Hans

You will be very happy if someone has enough experience with this problem. I put t know how much you are familiar with the hardware components on laptops but just detailed survey can give you answers.

Before you wait here I recommend you to make a call to the service partner. Explain the problem, perhaps they will be so with kindness and give you some useful tips.

    Good luck!

  • Coprocessor Pavilion dv9700 w / win 7

I have a HP Pavilion dv9700, who has 32-bit windows 7 is installed. When buying this laptop came pre-installed with 32-bit windows Vista.I installed windows 7 more early this year.

Everything was working fine until last week when I noticed that the laptop was not preforming as it was too much and that it would be closed periodically. When I took a peek in the Device Manager, I noticed that the coprocessor has the yellow triangle.

I went and searched many forums, that would lead me to a update/download NVIDIA any or a HP sp reinstall. All the these are however, for Windows Vista because it is what my laptop came installed with. So when I search my lapop model, all patches are for vista and are not compatible.

Can someone tell me please in the right direction to solve this problem for Windows 7? Your help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

  • Pavilion P7-1414: Cable 11 disconnected my p7-1414, where does go?

Hello, my problem, as indicated in the title, is a wire labeled "Cable 11" disconnected from inside my PC I installed an SSD, the other day. I just need to know where he'll be back because I can not find it. The wire comes out of the front (but still inside the case), under the USB ports and comes with the cables connecting the USB ports.

Since the wire disconnected, my PC has SERIOUS difficulties to find wifi or modem routers, even the one in my house, and the intensity of the signal is catastrophic. It cuts all the time. To put it in perspective, my internet speed is so slow on the PC that I can't even run a speed test. I hope that this thread is the cause of the problems, and there isn't anything I don't know. Thanks for any help.

It seems that the antenna to the wireless adapter cable is loose.  On THIS PAGE, it displays the image of the wireless network card.  Click on the title "wireless 802.11 b/g/n.

the antenna cable connects to one of the card on the picture.

MY Apple Watch more than four hours shut off and on screen display to show green with the charger cable

    and I can't turn on

    What should you do?

    Hello

When you reload your watch, check that:

    • All the plastic film was removed from both ends and both sides of the cable support (consult closely on the head of the charger).

    • On the back of your watch and the head of the charge cable are clean and dry (clean with a lint cloth and try again).
    • The Chief charge is directly aligned with the back of the watch, with the curved side touch fully (some stands watch may hinder this).
    • You use only the genuine magnetic Apple Charging Cable.
    • If you reload your watch by plugging into a power outlet, try using different maps of the following:
      • The real Apple USB Power Adapter that came with the watch, or;
      • A true 5W Apple (iPhone) or 12W (iPad) USB power adapter, or;
      • Power adapter certified by Apple (MFi) third 5W or module of magnetic charge.
    • If loading via USB, make sure you use a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port, the computer remains turned on and awake, and the cable is plugged directly into the computer (not on, for example, an external keyboard).
    • In normal operation, the load should take up to 2.5 hours.

    More information:

Check your battery and load your Apple Watch - Apple Support

After leaving time for your watch load, try removing the charger and restart or if it does not help, force its restart:

-Restart: press and hold the side button until you see the cursor off the power, then drag to turn off (wait until it does), then hold down the side button until you see the logo.

-Force the reboot: hold down the side button and the digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, until you see the logo.

If you still have problems, contact the Apple Support (mail service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation in order to have your watch and/or verified under guarantee of power accessories:

  • Display cable Kits, spare parts

I have a HP HDX X 16 - 1370US Premium and mounting of screen lamp cable was crushed.  Sometimes I can get the video on the screen and if I move the screen, it will go black.  I have two questions. First of all, I see in the manual there are two listed parts (496465-001 for dual display lamp) assemblies and (514289-001 for lamp display assemblies).  The part number on the sticker is MECDDC203A9D286 and so far I have not been able to refer to one or the other.  Second, how do I know if the screen is a screen of blade or double?  Sorry, one more.  Where can I get the cable at a reasonable price?

I found one on ebay for shipment to 15.99 + $2.99 I think.  The part is on the way and I hope it will do the trick.
