How to get a windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit installation disc?
My computer is an emachine T5086. It has Windows Vista Home Premium and when loading drivers they stop loading at "windows32 drivers/crcdisk sys. I don't know what that means.
Then, the computer restarts and asks me to install my windows installation disc for repairs. F8 on reboot is not available as an option. I don't have a repair option I turn on the computer and hold down the F8 key manually. I don't have a windows disk or recovery disk and I can't to where I can find a restore either point.
How to make a windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit installation disk? I have my product key. Or where can I get one?
Hello
There are different methods to reinstall Vista.
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact the manufacturer of your computer, eMachines and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
http://www.eMachines.com/EC/en/us/content/home
To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html
And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

Hello TomNeumeyer,
Your computer initially comes preinstalled with Windows Vista HP on this subject, the manufacturer? If so, you will need to contact them to get an installation disc. If you have a Setup for Windows Vista HP disk and a product key, simply insert the DVD and start the installation.

My Hp Pavilion Elite M9340F desktop PC was the best computer I've ever owned five computers desktop and portable three. Not only use the personal media drive Bay and two bays of lightscribe disc, I upgraded the video card and the power supply because I run also three external hard drives more (which actually a total of six hard drives run continuously). I want to spend all or just possibly the main hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium personal multimedia hard disk. Is it better to buy the disc or download the software? In addition, how is it difficult to make the switch? Even with good backups, I have heard horror stories of losing part or all of the files or have things so scrambled that it is almost impossible to find what you are looking for. ANY help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mr. w. Dillon * address email is removed from the privacy *.
Hello
It's always a good idea to have a paper copy of a disc (for resettlement and repairs).
And Yes, backup all your data as 'can' happen during an upgrade that is supposed to be easy.
This is a very good guide for what you want to do:
Make sure you go from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 32 bit to be able to do an upgrade.
«How To Upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium»
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/6892/how-to-perform-an-upgrade-from-Vista-to-Windows-7/
And follow these steps first:
Go to the HP website and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=20
Check if your specifications are compatible for Windows 7:
"Windows 7 system requirements"
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/system-requirements
"Windows 7 Compatibility Center" for software and hardware:
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx
Windows 7 upgrade paths:
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd772579 (v = ws.10) .aspx
And the Microsoft Store where you can get an idea of the price of Windows 7:
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/en_US/list/CategoryID.50726100
For other questions about installing Windows 7, there is a Forum specifically for that because it is the Forum of Installation of Vista, you're in.

How can I get Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit installed on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 - Bit?
I decided to install Windows 7 on my computer for the 30 day free trial, but am now regretting it. I don't have the money to buy the product officially, so I want to reinstall my windows vista. I have the drive, but when I try to install the computer says that this version of windows is not compatible with it. How can I get my Windows Vista to install?
Also, I currently have windows 7 Home premium. It is a 32-bit operating system and is running on Service Pack 1. The version of windows that I am wanting to return is Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.
I can't make the method for using the windows.old as my uncle decided to remove after installation of windows. I have 13, but even, I knew it was a bad idea. In any case, I would really help with this question.
Ranging from 32-bit to 64-bit is a single proposal for a NEW facility.
You can boot from the DVD and erase your old installation (wipe, from scratch, all not saved disappeared and everything must be installed manually - including drivers for hardware devices and software you have installed now) and install Windows Vista x 64.

How to make a Win Vista Home Premium PC to operate in "XP Mode"?
Hello
My Win Vista Home Premium PC cannot 'see' my Canon Lide 30 Scanner or work with my Canon printer i865. Install the software and drivers on the provided disks not even because of "compatibility issues".
For this reason the "updates available" on the Canon site (for applications and drivers on the disks) only will be not installed because 'old' versions are not on my pc.
My pc can 'see' - if that is the right word - my printer in settings, but no further acknowledges that this, and even when the printer is turned on it will not even try to print anything.
If I can still understand how to get the Vista pc to "run in xp mode" - assuming there is an 'xp mode' for Windows vista to use - this will allow my computer to use the printer and scanner.
There is nothing really wrong with the printer or scanner while they worked fine with the XP pc.
Software compatibility problems are more precisely to do with two pilots and the ocr software for the scanner and ALL the drivers and the software of the printer.
I hope someone can help because I don't want to have to get a different printer/scanner (or upgrade to Win 7 - will this regognise OS my printer and scanner?)
These options are all too expensive.
Thanks for any help
Bob
Hello Bob,
Compatibility mode is supposed to help eleviate problems not to cause even more problems :-)
You can actually get some decent printer/scanner price FRO reasonable combinations of our days. You could try (if in the United Kingdom) is Wilkinson (Wilko) stores; W.H.Smith; and Ryman.
Another alternative is to dual-boot your server (assuming you have aretail copy of XP). This invloves XP install on another partition on your hard drive. The only drawback is that you would have to boot XP to use your printer (assuming that you keep your current).
I currently have a brother printer copy Scanner that I bought the Ryman stationery, a few years ago. I only paid about £50 for it at the time. My only problem with the brother machine is that there is no way (on my model in any case) to turn the printer off cleaning option. As the PC and the printer are in my room the printer starts always clean at about 04:00. It is not fun to be surprised into a deep sleep by strange noises coming from the printer :-)

I have a SONY VAIO VGN-FW270J/W; the installed OS IS Vista Home Premium x 64. Coincidentally, this is the only Vista OS that is supported by SONY.
A recent series of unfortunate events with a visit to my friends 'self proclaimed expert PC' home left me with Vista Ultimate x 86 installed on this machine. I lost a large part of the functionality of the PC as a result.
If you own a SONY and had all kinds of problems with it, you know very well that the generic Windows drivers are useless. Graphics Accelerator GONE. GONE HDMI video. HDMI audio GONE. Built to monitor the use of the GONE. Super mode VGA GONE. DVD player - Blue Ray combo GONE. SONY does not support the OS that my friend has installed on my machine after he reformatted it.
I have wasa able to locate the hidden restore partition which seems to be the x 64 based original Home Premium version, on the dates of the files.
QUESTION: Using the system recovery utility built into Vista, FULL it is possible for me to return somehow to the x 64 Home Premium version? I own the license for the operating system that is needed, it came with the system. I DON'T want to have to buy a new license, nor do I want to move to 7 again.
IS THAT WHAT I DO FOR MY JOB TO THE MACHINE AGAIN? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED!
I look forward to any information that the community can provide for me...

The recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the manufacturing process to do what you want.
He was photographed for put your computer back to factory settings (the way that you bought).
