The documentation talking about changing the version of the Virtual Machine, but it seems that it's the version of the workstation on which the virtual machine is installed (or so I'm building the question in my mind as a rookie without much familiarity with the terminology) or the upgrade of the OS, such as, for example, from W98 to W2k.   2. unregister the virtual machine to the host/vc

  3. edit the VMX and redefine the hardware version on 4. (Do not forget... VMX file Edition is not a supported option).

  Again, I would even using converter to downgrade the HW version.

  That should fix it, you must download the wrong file. I got this error before, by simply changing the flash version number and reexporting solves the problem. If it helps, I have a laptop with a intel i7 5700-AC (2.7 to 3.5 gHz), Intel HD Graphics 5600 processor and a Nvidia GTX 970 M. I have 16 GB of DDR3 RAM and 128 GB SSD and 1 TB HARD drive.
