Information required to communicate with the instrument of the IEEE-488 Interface.

Dear all,

I have an instrument that has interface CEI-488. I would like to connect to my laptop using the GPIB-USB connector of NOR.

In order to communicate with the data of this device and the manual, I have a licensed version of LABVIEW. But when I made contact with seller OR I learned the connector would cost me Rs. 40000 /-including software as described in the web.

Is question 1 - necessary to buy the software with connector? or can I manage to read through LABVIEW?

Question 2 - I read the manual of the instrument and it can be programmed using the interface IEEE 488.2 measure of LABVIEW and automation Explorer can do this by using the existing LABVIEW.

Looking forward for a response.

Kind regards

Srini

Hello

How do you communicate with the Apple Watch

    Hello!

Welcome to the Apple community. I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say "communicate" with the Apple Watch, so I'll give you a few options that can respond to your request.

    (1) the Apple Watch supports Siri, just like the iPhone and the Mac. To apply, simply say "Hey Siri" while the wrist is triggered, and your watch will respond. Alternatively, you can hold the digital Crown and Siri will be activated. As soon as Siri is activated, you can ask him questions such as "what is the weather today" or "reminder", or "Let's start a workout."

    (2) you can manually send SMS via your Apple Watch by use of Siri, or opening the messaging app. That Siri send your messages, just say 'Hey Siri, send a text < name >' and Siri will open the Messages app and wait to talk to you about your message. If you want to move the Messages app manually, press the digital Crown and will take you to the home screen. In the home screen, select the Messages app (a green icon with a word inside bubble). Any existing message log must appear, and you can type on a given message log and choose to respond.

    (3) If you want to place a phone call using your Apple Watch, you can say "Hey Siri, call < contact name >". If you have several numbers for a particular contact, Siri will ask you what number you want to call. You can also you can present a more specific request like 'Hey Siri, call < contact name >, < number >' with the number favorite is 'work' or 'House' or 'mobile' etc. So the demand go something like "Hey Siri, call Barbra, House".

If you are still at a loss, with regard to the types of orders that Siri will accept, you can always ask. Say 'Hey Siri, what can you do?' and she will give you a list of commands that she will answer to the.

If all goes well, I addressed your question. If not, please provide a little more information and I'll do what I can to help you.

    Good luck!

  • Fail to communicate with the controller of pump ISCO D series

    Hey everybody,

I have an ISCO D pumps controller (which is connected to a syringe model 100DX ISCO pump) series I want to control using RS232 on Labview. I don't have their LabView Toolkit that Teledyne has mentioned in their technical Bulletin (TB06). In addition, I would like to automate my test, so using the Labview Toolkit will be not too useful.

The problem I face is not being able to communicate with the controller via hyperterminal or LabVIEW.

I ran their (mentioned in TB06) integrated series test and communicate as expected. I also tried to run their program remote pump (mentioned in technical Bulletin 19 of Teledyne - TB19) which seems to do what is expected as well.

I tried to talk about using LabVIEW first using the vi that I joined, and I saw nothing on the buffer. So, I moved to hyperterminal.

But when I try to send the command 'remote' listed in TB19, it doesn't seem to do anything. There is no answer on the hyperterminal.

There is mention of a DASNET Protocol, and I found the .dll file that I also moved in my Windows System 32 folder. It did not work even after that too.

I have attached TB06 and TB19. Let me know if you have other ideas how to do to test it.

Please let me know if you need further information.

    Thank you

    Sandeep

    Hey everybody,

After going through their best manual, I found the way to correctly send a frame. The manual at, www.isco.com/pcfiles/PartPDF/SL000004/UP00194U.pdf, section 7 specifically, it is intended.

For the purposes of anyone who stumbles across this thread, here's an example.

    If you have your.

Destination (the pump regulator) ID = 1

the source of the (computer) message = 00

and you try to send the message to DISTANCE that would turn the controller in "REMOTE" mode

Then you would send '1R006REMOTE1B', where 1 is the ID of destination
R is right to recognize the previous received message

00 is the ID of the computer

    6 length of command

"REMOTE" the command itself, must be uppercase

Checksum 1 b (which changes with the command of course)

And you can do the same thing in LabVIEW, you can enter '1R006REMOTE1B' in the VISA write while keeping everything else the same as the snapshot of the vi I sent previously.

Dennis, actually do not have the CD itself, but I assumed, would nothing more than an executable since I downloaded the demo driver for LabVIEW (http://www.isco.com/products/appnotes.asp?PL=105 under utilities) pump. I am currently trying to locate the CD here at the lab, and I will update this thread if I find something useful.

I guess that my problem has been resolved.

Thanks for your input in this Dennis.

    Kind regards

    Sandeep

  • Blue screen (BSOD) and communicate with GPIB instruments

I have a communication problem with a Pressuregenerator of PCS400 of Mory via NI-VISA. My simple application sends requests to the instrument and reads returned responses. These actions are performed in a while loop until you press the stop button on the front. The VISA-resource is initialized before the while loop and closed after leaving the loop.
Now the problem is that the computer will work in a blue screen with the message "NMI: check / memory parity error parity." This blue screen can be caused by switching between the programwindow and another window (for example the file Explorer) - I know it sounds strange. Then the blue screen appears after about 20 seconds. The computer worked stable in the daily work with windows.

I have already tried several things
-Wait a while (up to 30 ms) after writing and reading of VISA-online blue screen
-Communicate with the Agilent 34401 multimeter with the same program (but other requests of course)-online no crash!
-Test memory on system for about 45 hours with memtest86 + -online no found error
-Stresstest with Prime95 (product 100% of CPU load) for about 1.5 hours on windows => no crash

  • Error: "unable to communicate with the TWAIN device" with brother MFC7820N

Original title: can I connect a scanner through a switch?

I'm trying to analyze something like I did it many times with my brother MFC7820N hung on my tablet. But recently, I replaced a 2nd router I had in my system that failed with a new Dynex switch.

I have my internet modem and 2 computers connected to a Linksys wireless router. I have another ethernet cable connecting the router to a new switch. I have my 2 printers attached to the switch. One is a Brother HL-2700CN color laser and the other is a brother MFC7820N mutli-function. It use PaperPort to scan stuff on him, since provided on the CD with the device.

So today I open PaperPort and click the Scan button and it appeared an error saying unable to communicate with the TWAIN device box.

So I clicked on a doc shown in PaperPort that I had scanned a few weeks ago and I click right and select Print and printed to this MFC7820N.

Then I come back to click on scanner again and yet again, it appears that box. So I watch and WIA-Brother MFC-7820N LAN is displayed in the Scanner marked drop-down list box. So I switched the power of the MFC and tried again and it still appeared that same box again.

OUCH! I'm going nuts! You have any ideas?

  • Software BlackBerry Blackberry Link fails to communicate with the device

I hope that there could be some additional elements that could help with a problem I've seen with BlackBerry link. We have a user who has three computers he uses to back up his passport for Blackberry (depending on its location at the time). A laptop has started to display the communication error, it is stated in the subject line. BlackBerry connection on two other devices have no problem of communication with the phone.

The device works on OS 10.3.2.2474, although the issue does not appear to be tied to a software update. We confirmed that the user was able to save his device to the affected machine after it has updated to this OS level.

Initially, when it connects the device to the computer, the BlackBerry Device Manager does not detect a connected device. After change of the cable USB and the realization of step 2 below, the Device Manager and link show the connected device. However, the link always displays the communication error. The user is a local administrator on the system.

    I tried the things:

    1. update to the latest version of link.

    2. retrograde to Blackberry link 1.2.3.56, which is the version installed on two systems of work.

3 uninstalled link 1.2.3.56 and performed a manual cleanup of old files, such as noted in Blackberry KB35666 http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000035666&language=English, to delete the files from the driver to the previously installed version.

4 reinstalled link 1.2.3.56, which gave me a perfect match for all the drivers on the affected system and two systems of work.

    5. manually created firewall rules that appear on work mDNSResponder.exe, nginx.exe and tunmgr.exe systems. The application for peermanager.exe rule created on an affected system.

6a played with .NET. The system was originally installed 4.51. I uninstalled and installed 4.0 (which is the version required by the 1.2.3.56 link). Later, I've upgraded to .NET 4.52.

7 off completely Windows Firewall and antivirus on the system. Neither touched the issue.

8 connectivity test using another profile of Windows user on this system and later another device Blackberry OS 10. Reproduce the issue with the two tests.

9 Ran through all the other suggested steps in the article noted in step 3. An oddity I noticed during these controls: under the Windows user profile, I am unable to ping the IP assigned to the device. This prompted the tests with the Windows Firewall and AV out. However, when we tested with a different user on the same system (with Firewall and AV) on profile, we are able to ping IP assigned to the device. This allows however for us to communicate with the device via link, however.

Not to mention that the redefinition of the system (which, in my opinion, is far too radical to get this software to work), I hit a brick wall with items to check then. Has anyone else experienced this problem and it is resolved through a different way? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I guess everything he needed, it had happened to a point where I thought I was out of options. We finally got this device communicating by link.

I had run across this article during my first troubleshooting http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?ArticleNumber=000035829 and it is a problem, because we already had 4.51 .NET on the system and tried to reinstall it think.

I went down the .NET 4.5 system, and of course link works again.

Yes, you can use FDF/XFDF to send data to the server and report information in the document. Take a look at the Doc.submitForm () method using the FDF/XFDF parameter: DC-Acrobat SDK Documentation - Doc.submitForm () you'll need fields for send/receive form data, but these can be hidden.

When you use a bridged vNIC the customer acts as any other host, so that you can access is by his IP (or name if a DNS configuration exists as you acceding to any other host.) What tools you can use depends on the guest operating system and the software available.

I assume you mean access deskopt. Then you can use RDP (Windows Terminal services) or VNC (tight/tiny).

For Linux, you can use this last or all the flavors of SSH. In the case of Linux, I use VNC through SSH tunnel. You can also tunnel X through SSH, so if you have an X server on another host (such as the Hummingbird for Windows), you can open your own office remotely there.
