Initial ink for Photosmart 5512

I bought an unused demo missing ink. Is it safe to use ink on ordinary shelf for the first charge?

You can try, here's how to contact HP technical support: www.hp.com/go/totalcare (click on printers & monitors, there is a phone number on the resulting page).

Your dealer should have given them to you...

The skinny cartrdige with the bowtie symbol's picture, not black. See this page for more information.  The black cartrdige is 'fat' compared to the color or photo cartridges.

  • check the level of ink for photosmart 6525 on computer?

This option is no longer available. I know I can check the ink levels in the printer that works very well, but I would also check on the computer.

  • PhotoSmart 5512 no black ink printing

Hi all.  I have a PhotoSmart 5512 who has recently stopped printing black ink.  Before we get into all that, here is some basic information:

Primary computer: MacBook Pro OS 10.9.2

    Connection: On home WiFi network

Recent changes: black ink cartridge changed (twice), no network changes

I serve this 5512 without problems since we bought it in August 2012. Recently, it stopped printing black ink. I checked the levels and it seemed to be close to empty (by using the form on the printer and Mac methods of control levels). I replaced the black cartridge with a black cartridge HP 564XL black. Installation, I ran the "clean printer heads" several times, but still saw no black ink. All I get on the print are the various boxes of colors at the bottom of the page.

Yet once, I replaced the black cartridge with a new black cartridge HP 564XL black.  Once again, to the installation, I ran the 'Clean Printer Heads' several times, but still not seen any black ink.

I removed the cartridge and checked the filter between the cartridge and print head. He had a cool on black ink. This makes me think that the printer is properly pulling the cartridge ink and sending it to the head print correctly, but for some reason, this isn't making it by the head of the printer correctly.

I followed the steps on this page (found in another similar post), although I have not yet submitted the printer for maintenance.

Help, please. I am a teacher by class 1 and almost all print on cardstock color for my students.  Not having do not access to home printing has really took me by surprise.

    Thanks for your help.

  • HP Photosmart 5512 scanning software

I use a Mac OSX 10.6 and the only way for me to analyse on Photosmart 5512 is through the touch screen of the device.  This seems very heavy.  Is there a kind of HP software that can scan using the computer.  I can't look at my scan until it is saved (any name the device gives him) in my finder window.  Then I have to open it in preview and yes I can close it and rename it and place it in the location on my computer I want.  I had an all-in-one before and never had to scan in this way.  If this is the only way, I'll get a different scanner that there are WAY to many steps to scan a document or photo especially when I do more than one in a row.

    Hello ReneeH

You have the complete HP software installed? If so, you should be able scanning from the solution Center. If you have the full software go to the first link below. The guide will help you to scan from the software on your mac.

If you have only the base driver installed, uninstall the printer and reinstall using the software in the link below.

  • Photosmart 5512 does not print black

I read the suggestions of what to do if you have print heads could remove that do suggest you for the 5512. I did the reboot and used the "clean printhead" on the printer several times. Still no black, other colors are fine. It was working fine until I replaced all cartridges. I did not remove the old cartridges until I put new in. Help would be appreciated.

    Ciara,

Thanks a lot for your interest and help.  I think my problem is resolved.  I ran the tool "to clean the print heads" three times and started to see results. After that it runs three other times the printer seems to work well.  Of course now I used all my color ink cartridges new, but at least I don't have to buy a new printer!  Thanks again.

  • DesignJet 130: what should look like a NEW Assembly of ink for DesignJet 130 tube to

I ordered a new Assembly of tube of ink for DesignJet 130 from an online source. The item is marked refurbished. Frankly, it seems not yet to have been refurbushied but just pulled an old printer (but that didn't matter that I was expecting again), but it did lead me to ask a slightly silly question.

The tubes in a new assembly have preloaded ink in them? I guess not, but when I locate a set of 'new' I don't want to jump to a false conclusion so filled beforehand with ink. I guess they must be clean, dry, seems to have never been filled, and not overflow but I thought I would check.

I'll get my money back and try again. I guess there are some spare parts new surplus stock for this printer floating around. I was wrong in my assumption?

    Concerning

New tubes of ink are empty, I installed came with setup printheads.

  • Ink black Photosmart 7520 does not

My brand-new 7520 seems to have given your work already. Black ink is out of use.

When printing, it started generating no printed stripes and after two pages, no more black ink was put on paper.

Although the almost new cartridge should always do, I replaced it with a new cartridge of the original HP brand.

The problem persists however, and still no black ink has not put on paper.

I don't see any physical defect.

    What should I do?

    SWIFT comments are appreciated.

    Hi diaro56,

Be sure and check the levels of ink for all colors and replace any weak inks.  A low color can cause the black to print.

I would like to run the cleanup utility printhead under Tools 2 or 3 times.  I'm linking a document troubleshooting to meet the problems of print quality.  Click here  Take a look at that and see if one of these steps is useful.  Let me know how it goes.

    Good luck!

  • HP Deskjet 1180C: replace ink for Hp deskjet 1180C printer

What ink I replace for hp deskjet 1180c printer?

    Before that, I use ink HP C6578 (78) D - clour & HP 51645 has (45) black.

But when I order the provider of ink I have asked already end of life.

My laptop is still using the version of hp.

I am woried if I update windows again I can't use the printer more.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Unfortunately, there is no substitute ink for your printer.  Printers on the market no longer use inks No. 78 and no. 45.

In addition, the printer is no longer supported in the new OS (Win 7, 8, 8.1/10) etc, so your concern is valid.

Thank you for taking such good care of the printer!

  • HP Laserjet P1102W: I chose the eco mode (less ink) for a print job. Now, default printer for this. How to cancel?

I chose the eco mode (less ink) for a print job.  Since then that a default printer and some programs (for example, picasa) allow me to choose normal print mode I often forget to choose normal.  How can I definitively cancel eco or printer back to the original setting?  Printer works wirelessly.  Thank you.

In Windows 7, click Start, devices and printers, right click on the Laserjet P1102w, select Printing Preferences.  Select the desired default values, apply, OK.
