• QuickTime Player 7.7.9 for Windows failed to initialize error 2096

  I tried to open QuickTime Player 7.7.9 in Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 with the latest updates for February 2016 and a pop-up message with the message of: QuickTime failed to initialize error 2096. There was also something to check that the application has been installed correctly.

  I opened the Panel configuration/programs and features/QuickTime 7 and selected repair. Open Setup ran the repair and closed. I restarted the computer and I tried to run QuickTime player with the same result. I uninstalled QuickTime player, restarted the computer, downloaded and installed QuickTime Player from the Apple web site.

  I tried to run the new QuickTime Player that sent the same message.

  I have somehow found and executed the installer of QuickTime Player 7.7.6 (1680.95.31). I am able to access the QuickTime Player. I checked the updates and ran the update for 7.7.9 and get once more: QuickTime failed to initialize error 2096.

  Any ideas why 7.7.9 does not work to me that computer gremlins are playing with my mind.

  cssauth.exe is related to the Client Security Solution.

  Step 1: Try disabling startup cssauth.exe in the configuration of the system.

  Success!  Hi John, I don't know if this will solve your problem because I am running windows 8.1 and tries to install streets & trips 2011.  But I had a similar symptom that you knew.  Here's what I did: just right-click on the icon in the start menu, select programs and features.  Uninstall all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010, I had two.  Then I opened the installation dvd in Explorer, click right on dvdrun, marked the area run as long as administrator (not sure if it did anything or not), hit apply, then double clicked on dvdrun and everything worked.  I could install, validate, save, and run the program!
  A warning, I don't know what are the potential problems that may result in removing these two programs, I hope that if I run into something I can install them again without too much trouble.

  -Move www root config.xml

  -Adjust the paths to the icons/splash in configuratie accordingly

• Installation of Flash player 19.0.0.185 - message "Application initialization error."

  After reading about the history of critical Flash Player update 23 patch flaws | PCWorld , I followed the link on the page update the version on my laptop at the 19.0.0.185.

  Before that I did I ran a scan antivirus to my laptop, using the Kaspersky Security Total program, showing that the already installed version of flash player is a vulnerable program that needed to be updated. Then I uninstalled the current version and tried to upgrade to the new version 19.0.0.185.

  When I tried to install the update, I saw the message "Application initialization error." I tried this update several times with the same result.

  My laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 SP1 Build 7601, Internet Explorer 11 with Kaspersky Total Security 2015 (15.0.2.361).

  Please can someone help me to get this issue resolved because I want to try to get this installed update as soon as possible.

  I would get the Installer log file of your part online for further investigation.  Follow these steps:

  1. Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\
  2. Create a file named ADM.trace empty text (right-click in an empty area and select new > text Document and name it ADM.trace).
     • Note: Make sure that the file extensions are visible so that the extension is .trace and not .txt.  See show or hide Windows Help - file name extensions
  3. Rerun Online Setup until it returns the error
  4. In Windows Explorer, go to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe_ADMLogs
  5. Download the two files, Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log, by following the instructions that the specified item was not found.
  6. Post the link to the files downloaded in your response.

  Can Kaspersky interferes with the update.  Can you try disabling Kaspersky and Setup?  Please do after getting the log files.

  If you continue to receive the error with disabled Kaspersky, please try the installer in offline mode, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page in the section "problems".

  Please provide the log file because it will help determine why the error is returned.

  Hello

  I tried to update my flash player to the latest version, but once I dl the package and try to run it, after clicking to start the installation I get a pop up with "Application initialization error" and then I get send back to page to dl the installer. I downloaded it several times still did not work. I have run the uninstall and try to re install completely, but I get the same error as before.

  I looked towards the top of this post, I can not install flash player on my mac , but it does not work with me, any solution?

  I would get some log files from you for Setup troubleshooting online extra.  If you have a few minutes, please proceed as follows:

  1. Go to the directory ~/Library/Logs (this is the directory of the user, not the system directory library / library).
  2. Create a file named ADM.trace empty text
     1. The file extension itself is .trace, not .txt or anything else.
  3. Rerun Setup to stop online
  4. Search for Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log files in the ~/Library/Logs/Adobe_ADMLogs directory
  5. Download the files as Adobe_ADM.log Adobe_GDE.log by following the instructions of the element specified is not found.

  What do you mean by "not working"?  This post is several years old and contains a bunch of links to old installers are no longer displayed.

  The Offline Installer is displayed at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the section "problems".  This installer should work.
