Ink cartridge 564 for C5380 v. small large

I have a C5380 and bought a Photo Balck replacement cartridge. It is a CB317WA and the same (small) size as CMYK cartridges.

Problem I have is that it replaces a CN684W, which is the largest size black Photo cartridge.

The new (CB317WA) says it's for the C5380, but it does not in the Photo Black compartment. The re is a leg of positioning in the "rear" of the cratridges, in the sahpe of a 't'. on the small CMYK cartridges, this 't' is backwards. Pictured big black format, it is not. My black cartridge replacement Photo (CB317WA) is smaller but the hind is reversed and does not in the black slot Photo even if that's what it is designed for. (The packaging clearly States ONLY for 5 printers cartridge and lists as C5380 supported.)

I do not understand what I did wrong...

Hello there editor61, I hope you are well

I read your post on ink, disorders of the cartridge. It seems the sound that you can try to insert the photo black cartridge in the slot of regular black ink, which will not work.

This is a link to a guide that will show you what ink is what reference number:

Ink cartridge information

Also, here is a guide for the replacement of the ink cartridges

If there is still a problem with the ink cartridges, contact HP directly to your options with them:

Have a great Tuesday

I was happy with my officejet 4635 until I clicked on ok to apply for the HP firmware update. He said that it would improve my printer. However, demand has not said that my ink cartridges may not work if I installed the update. I clicked on ok and the update has been successfully installed. Now I can't print anything because I get an error message saying the I have ink cartridges are designed for older versions of the product. I do not use the new HP cartridges because they cost too much. I used cartridges refilled abacus in Az. Phhoenix which worked fine up until I did the update of the firmware of HP. I need to go back to the old system, so I can print again. I am connected to a desktop computer HP envy running windows 8.1. I'm furious HP to try and force you to buy their new cartridges with an update of something. I think that whoever came up with this update should be fired. Any help with a solution would be appreciated.

I was told that there is no way to undo the update of the firmware. HP did send me a few ink cartridges so I could print again, but I am still ticked about the way this has been ensured by HP. They have not told me that my old version cartridges would not more work after updating firmware. I think that it is simply dishonest on part of HP and I am sure that other customers have been captured by this update of the firmware. I am sure it was a HP effort going to force you to use their new cartridges. I'll be very careful on the acceptance of the updates from HP in the future.

  • Photosmart B8550 don't XL ink cartridges require the purchase of a larger car to keep them?

    Photosmart B8550

Envy, I decided to buy the XL size cartridges because printing photographs uses ink so fast. But looking at the regular size cartridges, installed in the current cage, I don't see how something bigger can fit in there!

Which brings the question: do I need to buy a XL wagon to keep? And if so, where can I find them for sale, as so far, I have not found their...

Or... is this just HP does not have regular ink to full capacity, and the difference represented by an XL is simply it is actually full of ink, rather than only partially completed as in the case of a regular ink cartridge?

    Thank you!

I said cart but meant the "printhead" that holds the ink cartridges.  I also had my answer elsewhere. The standard and XL ink cartridges are the same size, so they both correspond to the same print head.

  • : Photosmart Plus ink cartridges 564

I have a Photosmart Plus, which uses 564 cartridges.

Since I have several cartridges, I want to replace this printer with another who uses the same cartridge.

There is a new model for use by the carts of 564?

    Thanks for your reply.

I searched diligently and, as far as I know, unfortunately HP no longer sells a printer that uses 564 carts.

Not a huge surprise - Photosmart Plus is a few years old.

  • Photo Photosmart 7525 problem ink cartridge 564

I bought 2 different 564 PHOTO Black cartridges for my Photosmart 7525 and neither one will work. I get the message that the cartridge is missing or damaged. When I compare it with the cartridge I just pulled (it works fine) I noticed that the brass contacts are not the same. I really don't know what to do next. I don't want to buy a printer because I can not find a replacement for the existing cartridge. Please let me know if there are any tips. I bought the cartridge at Wal-Mart and it is an original HP not a remanufactured. Thanks for any help.

  • HP 61 cartridge: will an HP ink cartridge marked for sale in the work of the Australia in the USA

I just bought a new combo pack in box of the HP 61 cartridge for my printer HP 4620 scanner. The problem is I bought them off eBay and when I opened the sidewalk I saw that the area, while the new, open and not expired, is marked for sale in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Islands only. I have not yet opened and could probably go back if they don't work, but it was in the hope that they would be. Can someone tell me if I will have to revisit the issue of whether they will work?

In the India you can find 860 and 861 ink cartridges that compatible with your printer:

  • Ink cartridge is not suitable for printer 7520

I have an e-all-in-one printer series HP Photosmart 7520 that uses ink cartridges 564.  I just bought a 564XL black ink cartridge and it does not fit and seems too big.  It's authentic HP and not where does state she would only agree to some printers and even shows my printer compatible.  I'd appreciate your comments.

  • With the help of HP ink cartridges which have been refilled.

I'm having my cartridges refilled at costco 564xl. When I install the reloaded cartridges the ink level is very low. How can I solve this problem

    Maxie,

If this is the case, then

    • These people mean that perhaps it is a way of deterrence - as a way to deter you from using filled cartridges in the first place?  Personal opinion: printing software is not likely to be vindictive.
    • The results can be completely benign - the printer and/or the software may not be able to read the contents correctly the cartridges 'foreigners '.

I was never in a position where I had to use reloaded cartridges.

I use in my PhotoSmart 7520 564XL cartridges - HP cartridges show completely full when it is installed.  The conduct of the audit software say "estimated ink levels".

    Try / review

You can get a better idea of whether the ink is actually 'low' for starters if you check the number of pages printed - compare the number when you start a new cartridge (s) (game of) for the number of sheets printed when you need to replace the cartridges.  Check the total against the number of sheets that must be printed at the size of the cartridge.

You can check with Costco for the number of estimaterd of leaves, you can imagine by charged cartridge.

Another important factor: the printer will answer as seems it.  If Costco said you should get 200 sheets per cartridge and you get 100 sheets, then this is what you get.  This is true for any cartridge.  You must take into account the types of documents or printed photos.

It's certainly a bit of work for an ink cartridge - it will give you an idea of whether you are in fact save money using reloaded cartridges.

    Happy 2014!

Click on the star of congratulations !

It's a nice way of saying 'Thank you' for help.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6975: 6975 printer Installation stand. Problem installation of ink cartridges.

Printer is just out of the box.  Installation instructions for the installation of ink cartridges call for lifting of the top cover (with window).  I woke up using inlays of hand on each side.  But the top panel seems to be stuck on the left side.  The right side is free and can be lifted, but not the left.  What Miss me?  Help... Thank you.

Thanks for the leap here, 8Lives.  I turned off the printer earlier, left for a while, and when I get back, tried again to open the top panel.  He opened.  No idea if market / stop is behind these events, but it's the only thing that has changed.

I've then turning on the printer with the top panel open in order to focus the ink cartridge sled, and she centered.  So I think that the problem is resolved, although I don't know exactly what's responsible.  In any case, thanks again.  See you soon...

  • Ink cartridge Laserjet M1212nf MFP and I get error message "install black cartridge.

I have installed and reinstalled the ink cartridge black for my Laserjet M1212nf MFP and I get error message "install the black print cartridge.  I pointed out quite in the restart including manual online, the fact to unplug printer, etc..

    Help, please.

This error of "Install black cartridge" is usually caused by a piece of packaging material that remains on the cartridge. The document below should help you to solve the problem. If this does not work, try to do a hard reset. If neither works, let me know.

Toner blinking or 'Install black print cartridge' Message is displayed on the control panel:
    http://goo.GL/Nlqpg

    To do a hard reset:
    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. pull on the power cord from the printer.
    3. pull out the power cord from the wall.
    4. wait for 30 seconds.
    5. plug in the printer and turn it on.
