Input of Chinese characters in a cushion of pen in word or any program that I can send an email?

I have a bamboo block and the ability to type English in word I want to enter Chinese characters?

Hi whiteline,.

For an input language, try the following steps.
1. open regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking clock, language, and region, and then clicking regional and Language Options.
2. click on the keyboards and languages tab and then click on change keyboards.
3. under installed services, click Add.
4. double-click the language you want to add, double-click text services, that you want to add, select the text services options you want to add, and then click OK.

Kind regards
Syed

  • Chinese characters Datamerging

    Heyo everyone,.

So I try to merge some sheets of an excel file which is a combination of Chinese characters and English characters. Problem is then that InDesign has no problem pulling in English, the Chinese comes in either as a question mark or as a strange Roman character. I checked that I export in the correct format (I can open it up in other programs and it spits back characters), but... I can't find any option to make sure that it is important properly.

    Any suggestions?

Huh, weird. I tried with CS3, and it works... partially. I am now getting Chinese characters, but they're wrong those Hehe, now I'm wishing that I had done so that InDesign could do this before I made my spreadsheet.

Well, I would have assumed it was absence of Excel (I don't think that his output .csv can do Unicode, much less Big5 or GB2312 - is your Chinese simplified or traditional?) but it made me think otherwise:

With the same csv file that contains English and Chinese characters, it works with InDesign CS2 but not CS4 or CS5.

However, I just did a merger successful Trad Chinese data in CS4. I did the CSV by hand - I caught a Chinese text of a translation, made a Unicode CSV (when recording in Notepad, there is a drop-down list to choose the encoding), identified as a source of data in the ID, and ran a merger. It worked perfectly. It is interesting to note that there is a 'Import Options' button when you select a data source and allows you to select an encoding and a platform - both are important! I had only three options - ASCII, ShiftJIS (Japanese) and Unicode. So, get your CSV in Unicode encoding, use the Import Options button when you select a data source, and you should be good to go.

I don't know what happened to you, eboda, but I'm talking about you were encoding ShiftJIS. I'll try that on other platforms, but in general you should always tell InDesign what encoding you work with when you manage files in plain text.

  • How to type Chinese characters on trackpad with El Capitan?

Hello everyone. I appreciated the upgrade of my MacBook Pro from Yosemite to El Capitan, but I have a problem. I used to write Chinese characters by trackpad before, now it does not work. I mean, the cursor disappears each time that I start to draw, so I can't choose the good character of the list. It is not reappear although I hide the writing Board and can be taken back if I stop and then reconnect. How can I solve this problem? I'm studying Chinese and Japanese, so I need this tool.

Maybe Tom Gewecke will stop and make some suggestions. It is a language very knowledgable about the Mac expert. It has already recommended this article:

You will probably find an answer by browsing the old messages on this forum.

In any case, the value ORA_NCHAR_LITERAL_REPLACE = TRUE in the registry with the NLS_LANG parameter. Then, the prefix of the input string literals with the letter "n" as:

    Any ideas?

    Too bad.

I see that it is the McAfee SiteAdvisor program that creates the problem.

  • Firefox cannot display Chinese characters correctly. How to fix?

I have portable firefox with the add-on Chinese language pack, but whenever I open any website in Chinese, the characters are not correct this so I couldn't recognize them.

Firefox cannot display CJK characters unless East Asian language support and CJC fonts are installed.

XP this is not the case by default because two support East Asian languages and languages (C.i.) complex script must be installed separately.

If you will not be able to see the Chinese characters, unless you install far East support.

Otherwise, you will need to use another computer.

  • I want to install the U.S. version of FF and the version in traditional Chinese characters and use them both. How can I do this

I want to use the English US version of FF and I also want to use Chinese (traditional characters) version of fire fox. But when I tried to install each of these two versions, they merged and let me only to use the Chinese version. is it possible to have both versions on my computer so I can use each of them in its appropriate context.
    Judd

Yes, I often use several versions of firefox.

Use custom install for the 2nd or both versions of firefox and create multiple profiles.

    Program records

When you install firefox (you can leave the first version where it is) choose custom rather than the default values Setup. You normally use a location in the path of the program window, so that the files are easy to find related and execution. Maybe just add USA and C for default folder names, so that you have separated appropriate folders. You can rename all of the Firefox shortcuts after their creation.

    Two profiles

You will need to have separate for each version profiles so that they work properly.

    1. I would like to start by creating a copy of the existing profile folder and all its subfolders. Copy in a safe place, out of program or firefox profile paths, the Windows desktop is an obvious choice. It is not necessary, but if something is wrong it allows possibilities of recovery or regression.
    2. For simplicity, let such existing firefox profile; If it doesn't work still. You can always delete the shortcuts for her later if she is not going to be used. (Do not rename the profiles until you are confident and fully understand firefox profiles and how they are used).
    3. Create a new profile for the American version of firefox. You can use it right away if your US version of firefox work properly, otherwise re - install firefox.
      • Carefully note the name of the profile and the folder name and the path. When you create a profile, it of wise always to use an empty folder, because if you imprudently delete the profile you lose everything, including all the important but unrelated files are contained in it because it was not initially an empty folder.
      • you have no need to uninstall firefox, but if you do, then do NOT use any option to delete personal settings or a Firefox or Windows option.
      • / ! ------Care if you remove the settings it will try to remove all settings, Favorites, passwords etc of normally installed versions of Firefox. (Proper use of file recovery utilities and luck is needed if the attempt to overthrow of the action)
    4. Rename it shortened to something suitable like us Firefox and configured to use the US profile.
    5. follow a similar procedure for Chinese version.
    6. It is possible to run both versions at the same time, open which uses the -no-remote option, but I'm guessing you won't need that.

The default value is used when a server does not send an encoding.

The default encoding is Western (ISO-8859-1), so it's best to use this setting.

If pages give problems then they may need UTF-8 or an encoding, you can easily change the character encoding menu now you know where to find specific windows.
