  You are welcome.  I just checked and there is an onLoad parameter you can use in the BODY tag to ignite a javascript function.  I hope that's what this implies, that it is.

• Having problems with signature of a file flash swf for Whiteboard Tower Defense

  I presented the Whiteboard Tower Defense game well before March 15. Apparently, I have problems he signed.   I created a simple SWF Flash slideshow with 5 slides. I was able to relate a URL to the entire file by adding an alpha key.

  What I can't understand is the addition of a URL link to each slide. The SWF file I sused on a website and I would like to be able to click on a particular slide as it's playing to a site or a page that applies to this slide.

  Is there a way or a code I can use to do this?

  You cannot duplicate the instance or function names, so you'll need to create unique names for each one who behaves differently.  If you have a function named 'mouse click '... If you want to have another function to link to somewhere else you must create a new name for this function ("mouseClick2" would work)

  There are alternative approaches, but for now, it will be easier for you to handle.

  First of all, the context:

  I'm creating a Flex application with a component that displays several SWF loaded dynamically, one at a time (a bit like a kiosk). These loaded SWF files is created in the Flash IDE, Flex No. They will not be created by us (we will provide a .fla but model it is), so I am loading them in a separate SecurityDomain.

  My Questions:

  1. I want the application to be able to call methods inside the loaded SWF file. To do this, I would just call Security.allowDomain ("flex application domain") in the boot process for the loaded SWF file?

  2. I want the SWF loaded to throw events that are taken by the application. Can I achieve this through the SWFLoader.swfBridge (http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/flex/3/langref/mx/controls/SWFLoader.html#swfBridge) property?

  3. I'm defining an interface for methods inside the loaded SWF file. But I don't want to leave the implementation up to the customer. Instead, I want to provide another SWF that contains the implementation of the interface and have a constraint that the customer includes it in their SWF file. I'm not very familiar with the Flash programming environment, how would that work so that the SWF interface implementation exposes his methods so as to be accessible to the Flex? Is it possible to sign the SWF file so that the Flex application knows that it is dealing with the original, not a parody?   3 sounds good, but that's all theory.

  I think that there are other ways to package code to Flash other than "components".  I think that there are some libraries of data/network, but I don't know how they are packed these days.

  Just look at it from the point of view of HTML, if the XML is deep

• CS3 Flash swf not visible on the Web page

  I'm working in Dreamweaver and Flash CS3. For some strange reason, swf Flash files are not displayed on my Web page. I never had this problem with MX2004.
  I downloaded the java script (new in CS3), but it still shows an empty area - the dimensions of swf - on the page. It has previewed fine locally, but not from the server.

• Flash SWF links open Dreamweaver

  I created a simple Flash animation loop three logos. I want visitors to be able to access each respective Web site as logos scroll, so I've linked each logo to the website of each company. However, when I play the video SWF and click one of the links, Dreamweaver opens and nothing else happens. Is this a problem with the Flash settings? Dreamweaver settings problem?
  
  I got a message that says "Adobe Flash Player had stopped a potentially dangerous operation... ", but when I clicked on the 'Settings' button to change the settings, opening new Dreamweaver!

  Download the file and the test online, it will be fine. This is because the html files are probably set by default to open in Dreamweaver.

  The code in the HTML to the swf seems to be missing a whole bunch of settings, but I can't point the finger to say that it won't work.

  The best advice I can offer to get started is to use the code in the html page that Flash creates when you publish (be sure to have the html option selected in the settings of publication). You will see two sections of < script=""> and < noscript=""> which places the swf file in the html page and up in the head section will be one or two lines of code related to a javascript file: AC_RunActiveContent.js, you will need to include as well. Also, don't forget to copy the AC_RunActiveContent.js file on the server (Flash adds this file in swf file when you publish).
