Insert the path to the file in the text field

I'm creating a text tabled at the bottom of a form document that will automatically enter the path of the file (for example. C\:Folder\File) in the document after the document is saved.  I looked at a few Scripts, but nothing seems to work.  I guess it will look something like this on the option "postSave":

this.rawValue = event.target.path.replace (event.target.documentFileName, "");

I am a very novice programmer so I don't know if it's even close to right.

Apparently, some of my search parameters have been extinguished.  This question has already been answered before.  If someone comes looking here, this is a link to the page with the answer.

Enjoy.

FYI: Here is the code I used for the text field.

Inspection.TextPage.Bottom.End.Directions.File::preSave - (JavaScript, client)

this.rawValue = event.target.path

  • Insert the text field into several pdf files

    I was wondering if there was a way to insert a text field into several pdf files. I have about 500 pdf documents that need to have a text field in the same location on page 1 of the document. Is there a way to create a batch for this? Can I create a blank PDF with the text field in the right place and superimpose somehow in the exsisting files? Or I'm stuck with opening each file and paste the text of field in there?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Yes, it is possible to do, if you have the version of Acrobat Pro and some knowledge of JavaScript.

  • I have created a form in Indesign. Is there a way to create the default text in a text field that displays the interactive pdf "insert text here" in the text field?

    I have created a form for the company, so that I work. It is a form that will be used in several offices and has buttons, drop downs and text fields. One of the text fields has a requirement that when the PDF file is opened, the text field has something written in there already, as an example (and one only) INSERT the TEXT HERE. I created the text field in Indesign and used the text tool to type in the area of the body-copy required. After that I have to export it as an interactive PDF, text in the text field disappeared.

    Drop-down lists give an option for a default choice, but I don't see a way to create default text in the Panel of buttons and forms for text fields. Is there a workaround or a hidden feature?

    Thank you!

    Set it in Acrobat.

  • Problem to browse to files in the page with the text field with special characters

    Hello.
    I have a very interesting thing happening in my APEX (4.0.1) application.

    I have problems with a text field, because when I insert the text 'aaaaa' and send the page, the text is transformed in "Aaa£ aa.
    After some time trying to understand the game characters and translations and etc, I realized that this thing happened in some pages.

    Then, I started to remove components of the page where it happens and I discovered that what initially is an element to browse file...
    Every time I have send the page, if there is an element of browse file created on the page, the text is changed. If I delete the queue item browse, when submitting the page, the text remains correct.

    Is it supposed to work like this? And if yes, why is it?

    Thank you.

    Is it supposed to work like this?

    No, of course not.

    Of one of your previous posts, it seems that you use the APEX? If so, similar problems have been reported a number of times before: + {: identifier of the thread = 1104224} + suggests a fix.

  • Name of the file in the text field

    Is there a way to view the shapefile name, in a text field?

    Example: File name of the form is "MyForm.1.01.pdf".

    I want to display "MyForm.1.01" in a text field on the form.

    If my form is saved and goes back to a revision to say "MyForm.1.02".

    "MyForm.1.02" is then displayed in the text field.

    I thought, this could be on the open pre event, so that when the form is saved, it would display the new revision when the form is opened, then?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    The following Gets the name of the file:

    this.rawValue = event.target.documentFileName;

    I would put this in the event docReady, this event is fired only once, when the form opens.

    There is an example here: https://acrobat.com/#d=ZnxO-dlXXFDS0GvYcQk2NQ

    Hope that helps,

    Niall

  • NEED HELP: on how to make the text field on the image (file I) sliced in Dreamweaver

    First of all, I will apologize for not being a guy of current code or understanding terminology.  I'm old school and build Web sites for my businesses and programs.  I have a situation where I have designed a website on Illustrator and sliced the site and imported into Dreamweaver. Everything works fine, however, I train for the life of get me a (perhaps called a tag div or something) text box on one of my sliced background images.  I have tried everything; read online tutorials and watched, however, it does not work for me.  In the past, I had someone just put the code in (or fix my code) to make a table of open field, on top of my background image that I slit, so that I could add the content type to it.  Can someone help me with this please?

    Here is the code for the site.  I put RED, the text field I try to overlay a text table or a box to work with.   Thank you a lot if someone maybe can add the code (or the DIV) to make it work, but also if you can put it in a different color so I know how to this in the future, it would be a great help too.

  • Problem of text selection in the text field for entry in the emulator

    I'm having a problem of text selection in a text field when I run my application in the emulator Playbook. Let me see if I can expose the problem here:

    1. The field in question is a classic text, text with an integrated in police entry field. The domain is in a SWC and referenced in another FILE.
    2. The code is set up such that when a user clicks the field function is called to highlight all the text. The code is more or less as follows:
    thisField.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onFieldClick);

    private function onFieldClick(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
       var selectedField:TextField = event.target as TextField;
       selectedField.setSelection(0, selectedField.text.length);
    }

    The problem I'm having is that when I try clicking on the emulator, the text field in 'domain' is sometimes selected as expected, sometimes not. When the text is not selected as expected the cursor always appears in the field and the Playbook keyboard slides up by below. What is particularly problematic, that's what often happens, is that the whole scene moves upward on 10px when it is clicked on the ground. If I try to click on the same ground once again, another change to the top of 10px or so, etc..

    So why the text not properly selected and why the scene evolves upwards?

    I realize that more information may be required from me to correctly solve this problem, but if someone has all understand why this may be the case, I would be happy to learn from him.

    Thank you

    David

    I can answer the question of displacement.  This is a bug in BB and supposed to be fixed in version «next» SDK

    The question of the selection, I'll guess has to do with the fileld with focus, selection is not possible.  Try to set the focus outside of maybe the text field?

  • List drop-down selection trigger change in the text field

    I'm hit a roadblock here. I'm on Adobe Acrobat XI and here's the scenario: I have a list box and a text box.

    Drop-down menu field has 3 caps (A, B, C).

    If A is selected, the text box = 15 default, but has the ability to change in the text box.

    If B or C is selected, the text box = 0 or "by default, but it has the ability to change in the text box.

    If I use an if/then with a .value, I'll be able to get the numbers to work, but do not have the ability to edit and keep them there. If I enter another number in another area, the JavaScript code will run and change the text box to 0 or 15.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Instead to use script logic for the text field, use the drop-down validation script. In this way, that it only will be triggered when you change the value in the drop-down list field, not when you change any field in the file (as the calculation script).

  • Fill in the text field when TWO radio button is unchecked

    Hello

    I don't know anything about javascript and need help.  I have a photography contract I want to offer a "discount package" of $50 when the two services will be used.  1 service is 'Photography coverage' and Service 2 'Photo Booth Rental'.

    Text field 1 = subtotal (calculates the values of checkbox and radio button)

    Text field 2 = discount (it's where I need help.  I would like this automatically filled with $50 when my default two boxes are not selected.  But only when the TWO are not selected)

    Text field 3 = Total (which has a basic calculation of the Subtotal-Discount)

    The services of two by default (it's done on purpose, I checked from the beginning) are both set to the '0' values to keep the subtotal $ 0.  If the client will use a service (which means one of the default selections will be selected), then there will be no discount, but if they decide to use photography and the cabin, they save $50.

    Can someone please help me to write a script for the text field, Discount calculation, to accomplish what I ask?

    Untitled-3.jpg

    You can use something like what the calculation script custom field discount:

    Event.Value = (this.getField("Service1").value == 0 | this.getField("Service2").value == 0)? 0: 50;

    Simply adjust the field names in the code to match the real in your file.

  • Location of roller on the text field.

    I created an interactive pdf in InDesign with a video integrated. Reversal of the image I have a text field are popping up with the name of the image. I need to change this name/text, where should I go in InDesign? The text field is visible in the pdf file when I roll over the image. I have looked through the windows of buttons, Animation and multimedia in InDesign, but cannot locate the domain in question. I created it 2 years therefore the empty mind!

    Thank you

    Meervaldo!

    The answer is that there is nothing InDesign (or you) have done. Looking to the reader by default of an Adobe Reader or Acrobat when it encounters a video.

    If it's an image, you can add a tip of the tool, by choosing from the menu of the Media Panel > Options PDF > Description.

    However, for some reason, you can apparently not substitute this particular kind of message that I can understand. You can view the video properties in Acrobat by clicking right on the video and choosing Properties. But I don't see a property to change the message.

  • problem with the characters of the text field

    Hi all

    I'm missing a few characters, once I insert the text in a dynamic text field. characters are not lacking by saying; they are replaced by empty squares.

    characters such as the euro symbol and accentuated German letter.

    What is weird is that the other German accented letters appear. If only a few selected are missing.

    How Ive set up the FLA:

    (1) I added 4 text fields to the scene to police im using, Arial, one for each font style: normal, italic, bold and bold italic and in all 4 fields ive incorporated all Latin characters (to include the German characters accentuaded and im guessing it is in the punctuation group that contains the euro symbol so that one is also incorporated), not to mention as lowercase, uppercase, numeric, and all the groupd default to include the basic text.

    (2) I have a dynamic text field created with createTextField, and set up the ActionScript code following (2):

    This.createTextField("hello_txt",0,10,10,100,20) ("T_text", 1,0,10,Stage.width-60, 50);

    var myFmt = new TextFormat();

    myFmt.size = 12;

    myFmt.leading = 3;

    myFmt.font = "Arial";

    T_text.html = true;

    T_text. AutoSize = 'left ';

    T_text. Multiline = true;

    T_text.WordWrap = true;

    T_text. Selectable = false;

    T_text.embedFonts = false;

    T_text. TextColor = "0 x 666666 ';

    T_text.htmlText = _global.gallery_1_image_text_1; This holds the im text, called in a database.

    T_text.setNewTextFormat (myFmt);

    now, I'm composing text in a database.

    When calling the text from the browser's address bar, there is no missing characters.

    It's just when I make this appeal of flash and load the text in the dynamic text field, that the characters will be missed.

    Here is a link to a screenshot of the text that is displayed in the text field Dynamics defective flash.

    http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/340/UTF8.PNG

    any ideas? I mean, it seems that the arial font is missing some characters accented! because the code that I have installed loads other accented characters.

    someone has seen this problem before and know how to solve?

    concerning

    stir in your policy.

  • Narrowing of the text fields

    Hello everyone.  So I figured out how to develop simultaneous text fields, now I would at the same time reduce them.  Here's the scenario: a customer receives the form, between the 5 lines (or other) in a text field and the text game, expand fields.  Realizing that they entered too, they delete a line or two.  Unfortunately, the text fields do not contract.  Worse: someone enters a lot of information, removes a bunch of it and is stuck with a huge set of text fields when they just need a little space.  I would like it if all of the text fields would be collectively assume the size of the largest entry and not the following dimensions.  I enclose an example, and if someone want it to happen to unqueued, I'll be happy to email it to them.

    Bonus question: I have all my scripts in JavaScript.  Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to get the reference to subsequent subform instances to work in JavaScript.  If you look in the "Delete" button, you will see that it is film script in FormCalc.  The only reason I do it is to get this

    If (_Description_Value_Comments_and_Office_Comments.count == (this.parent.index + 1)) & (_Description_Value_Comments_and_Office_Comments.count <>, 1) & (choice == 4)) then

    Description_Value_Comments_and_Office_Comments [this.parent.index - 1]. Any_other_property_of_ this_type.rawValue = "2"

    endif

    to work properly.  When I try to do something similar in JavaScript, it doesn't seem to be able to handle this:

    Description_Value_Comments_and_Office_Comments [this.parent.index - 1]. Any_other_property_of_ this_type.rawValue = "2"

    I think it has something to do with the ILO [this.parent.index - 1], but I don't know how to fix it.

    Thank you all for your help.

    Post edited by: AJP256 Reason: changed "text boxes" to "text fields" because that's what I really wanted to

    Hello

    With respect to the height of the textfields, it would be easier if all the textfields were in a row. This way you can do away with the entire script, which tries to maintain height.

    It also makes it easier to add additional lines.

    I am downloading a sample (note should store).

    Good luck

    Niall

    PS, the file size seems v. large given the fact that there is no graphics?

  • set the focus to the text fields named incrementally

    I created the many (hundreds) of the fields of text through actionscript. I gradually name them and place them on the stage and then subsequently access to set focus.
    I use create a textfield object:
    var txtbox:TextField = new TextField();

    and then use a name incremented to the text field to identify it later:

    var txtname:String = txtn + txtcnt; txtcnt is a number incremented variable. txtn is a string variable.
    txtBox. Name = txtname;

    I add an eventlistener on stage. The event listener works very well and has a companion function.
    I can identify the text field I want access once the move is running through his name.
    Then I use this .name property to set the focus:

    internship. Focus = "txt88";

    Again, "txt88" is the .name of the text field.

    What I am doing wrong?

    ypeError: Error #1034: Type coercion failed: cannot convert "txt88" in flash.display.InteractiveObject.
    to MethodInfo-(200)

    Also, I tried to use the variable incremented during this step, but get a msg of error affecting the variable this way textfield name.
    var txtname:TextField = new TextField();

    Awesome!
    Who did it! I appreciate your help. It is a major obstacle and I went through the help files and books without success. (If it works fine in the AS2 version!)
    Anyway, you are a lifesaver. Thank you.

  • Vibrate the text field.

    Hello

    I have a form and I want when I insert the value into the text field
    and press enter for the field of text even vibrates a little. Is this possible?

    Sarah

    It's really an odd...

    You can do without a timer, just with a loop.

    Try in a when-validate-trigger point:

    declare
    l_item item := find_item ( :system.trigger_item );
    l_x_pos number := to_number ( get_item_property ( 'pam1.num', x_pos ) );
    l_y_pos number := to_number ( get_item_property ( 'pam1.num', y_pos ) );

    begin
    for i in 1..13 loop
      if
        get_item_property ( l_item, x_pos ) = l_x_pos
      then
        set_item_property ( l_item, x_pos, l_x_pos + 3 );
        set_item_property ( l_item, y_pos, l_y_pos + 3 );
      else
        set_item_property ( l_item, x_pos, l_x_pos );
        set_item_property ( l_item, y_pos, l_y_pos );
      end if;
     synchronize;
    end loop;
    set_item_property ( l_item, x_pos, l_x_pos );
    set_item_property ( l_item, y_pos, l_y_pos );
    end;

    You must play araound with the evolution of the value and depends of the
    coordination system you use. I assume you are using pixels in the example.

  • Pop the text field scrolling buttons on the stage

    Hello all;

    I am very new to Flash so please bare with me. If anyone can point me to some examples I would really appreciate it. I have 5 buttons on my stage (in fact they are just text that I made in buttons); I would like the user to be able to click on each of them, and it appears a text field scrolling where they can read and scroll the information in the text field and then they can go back and click Next and so on. On the left side of the stage is the buttons and on the side right would be the scrolling text field. Now I realize that I could accomplish this using frameworks separated for each button and just pointing to these images, but I feel that there is an easier way... There must be there is something I'm definitely missing...

    A warning first. I have not tested this code, but it covers most of what is needed to do this with AS3.

    var source: String = "myTxtFile.txt";
    var dataFormat:String = pouvez;

    var loader: URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    loader.dataFormat = dataFormat;

    loader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, completeHandler);

    var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest (source);
    try {}
    Loader.Load (request);
    } catch (error) {}
    trace ("there was an error loading the text file");
    }

    function completeHandler(evt:Event):void {}
    var variables: URLVariables = new URLVariables ((evt.target comme URLLoader) .data);

    for (var i: uint = 1; i<= variables.numvars="" ;="">

    var n: String = "button" + i;
    myTexts [n] variable = [n];

    }
    }
