  Hi all, I am trying to install Cisco AnyConnect 3.1.05178 on my computer at home, but as soon as I run the installer I get the following error message:

  There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your provider to support personal or package.

  No additional information on the DLL is provided. Also, I know for a fact that I am using the installer is not corrupt, as I tested it on a number of other machines, and it runs and installs perfectly.

  Any ideas, suggestions or experiences with this issue?

  We organize two CISCO ASA 5510 on two sites that have bundles of Cisco Anyconnect 2.3 on them.  We want to install Cisco anyconnect 2.5 package, my question is if I update packets on Cisco ASA will be that force users to upgrade to 2.5 when they try to connect via the web browser?  What happens if they just use the anyconnect software to connect to the vpn, is quite smart to know there is a software update?

• Cisco Anyconnect license upgrade Questions

  Hi all

  So, we currently have a pair of failover ASA 5515 - X running at one of our sites. This serves as a VPN gateway for our users. I am migrating users from the old Cisco VPN client to the newest Cisco Anyconnect client. I have work and installing anyconnect. Meanwhile, I discovered that process to take care of TLS 1.1 and using the Anyconnect client, you must use the most recent 4.0 Anyconnect client. To use this client, you must have something license called a "Anyconnect more" I think it was a recent change of return in 2014. We currently have the Anyconnect Essentials license installed on the ASA pair. I discovered that not only it a license upgrade available for upgrade Anyconnect positive of the battery, but the Anyconnect Plus license is subscription now. Boo Cisco. But that's another debate.

  I went ahead and reluctantly bought the upgrade license to upgrade Anyconnect positive of the battery. I am trying to understand however the affects of the installation of this license with respect to the current VPN functionality. Currently, we offer the following VPN options for our users:

  RA IPSEC (IKE v1via former customer)

  RA IPSEC (L2TP via the Windows client)

  SSL (Anyconnect 3.0)

  We also use tunneling IPSEC of P2P (IKEv1 PSK) between two sites to serve as a link of relief when our primary site-to-site link fails.

  If anyone knows what would be the effect on the current VPN functionality when installing my upgrade license? He turns off the older IPSEC IKEv1 feature? As I said I want to migrate to the newer platform users but still have need of the oldest customer work until this can be done. I have this in my current setup:

  WebVPN

  AnyConnect essentials

  What happens on this command when I apply the new license?

  Addition of the new activation key and the client configuration somehow 4.x will not affect the IKEv1, L2TP or VPN SSL. "AnyConnect essentials" rest a command active and valid

  It will give the ability to activate the advanced security features that require the 4.x client.

  I use 'Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client' on Windows 7 for a year now with no problems.
  All started yesterday when I try to connect I get this error message:

  message: "the program can't start because aclog.dll is missing on your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. »

  So, of course, I tried to reinstall, but without success.

  I keep reading that aclog.dll is a windows system dll.
  No idea how to solve this problem?

  I installed Visual Studio SP1 of 2015, the other day and it looked like there were a few errors in the final dialog box.  Would he have the issue?

  We have recently installed an ASA5505 and activated the VPN access.

  Two of my colleagues have no problems connecting to the VPN using Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client, but I do.

  I am still disconnected after a few seconds with the message:

  "A VPN reconnect gave rise to different configuration settings. VPN network interface is to be reset. Applications using the private network may be required to restart. »

  I work with Windows 7 but the same thing happens when I try to connect using my computer that is running Windows Vista.

  My colleagues also using Win7

  I also tried to disable the Windows Firewall.

  TAC has been able to solve the problem.   For webvpn mtu changed default from 1406 to 1200.

  Not sure why 2 other ASAs we work very well otherwise though!

  I configured an AnyConnect VPN (IPSec) on a Cisco ASA firewall, but I can't download the profile that neither could not connect to the security gateway by downloading the profile manually on my pc to the path C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.

  I used already AnyConnect installed from an another security gateway and everything works correctly by the bridge, but the moment where that I tried to install the new security gateway AnyConnect (uninstalled the older first), I can not connect more to the old security gateway get the same error of the new.

  The version of installed AnyConnect is "anyconnect-victory - 3.1.01065 - k9.pkg. By AnyConnect mobile, I can connect without any problems.

  Any suggestion?

  You don't have to buy a certificate from a commercial certification authority. But if you do this, it is easier to make sure that you won't get certificate errors on your client. And as it has many really cheap cases out there, that's what I would suggest.

  Adding a cert is pretty easy and illustrated manyvideos on youtube.

• Cisco AnyConnect 2.5.1025 on Win7 x 64 Ultimate edition (SP1)

  I experience hard attempts to establish a VPN connection in above mentioned environment on a UMTS device (which works fine on my X 61, running Win7 x 64 Enterprise (SP1)).

  VPN session is launched, research for client-config (/ day) pass through, but then the session gets closed with two error messages, see:

  "The Client VPN could not check the IP forwarding table changes. A VPN connection can be established. »

  and

  "He could not establish aa connection with the specified AnyConnect secure gateway. Please try to connect. »

  1: no, I have no 'Hello' - service installed (or running).

  2nd: services cross-checked with my laptop - began to those running stopped there, those who stopped there-> the same behavior.

  3rd: install 1 package (.msi) of the web-deployment times & the other inside IE9 (via ActiveX). always the same.

  4th: disabled Windows Defender, Avira FreeAV, added compensation for the customer of firewall and VPN server to the "trusted sites". Also been clarified 1This IE cache. Nothing.

  5th: Ciscos and Reporting diagnostic tool-> he ran.

  Found 1 very interesting event (in eventviewer | applications and services: cisco anyconnect VPN client) says:

• Cisco AnyConnect Secure mobility Client cannot initialize connection subsystem after updates Windows (Feb 10, 2015)

  The customer Cisco Anyconnect Secure mobility gives me an error when I try to use it. It started after the latest updates for Windows (10 Feb. 2015).

  The error it causes is "could not initialize the subsystem of connection".

  I looked at another machine with the updates installed with same issue.

  On my machine - I back before restore point windows updates be done, and the Cisco Anyconnect Client's worked well.

  After you install the updates, it stopped working again.

  I assume you are using Windows 8.1. The workaround is to set the AnyConnect Client to use Windows 8 Compatibility Mode. He has worked on several machines. After the change, you will need to log off the coast and turn it on for Windows.

  Cumulative update 11 IE KB3021952 includes KB3023607.  Apparently, it's the latest patch that causes the problem, according to what I said. (I do not even 3023607 in the history of WU, but if I type "wmic qfe" is here). However, I suggest updating leaving in place and using workaround.

• Cisco Anyconnect VPN does not work in windows 7 64 bit

  I found that the cisco anyconnect (version 3, any series) does not work in windows 7 (64-bit).
  The vpn is connected, but there is not any internet access.

  I tried to solve the problems of:

  -Disabling the firewall.

  -disable the anti-virus etc.

  But while I tried using with 32 bit, it works very well.

  Also, I found that there is not a specific version of anyconnect vpn for only 64-bit.

  Do any body have the idea how to solve this problem, either it's a bug of cisco vpn itself?

  Certainly, you just need to install a later version of AnyConnect.  You need a Cisco, for example a SmartNet maintenance contract, to download the new versions.

• Cisco AnyConnect VPN connection has not changed my public IP address on Windows 7 64 bit

  I installed a customer Cisco AnyConnect VPN from my school, so that I can access school of my Windows 7 laptop at home network. I was able to connect, but when I used http://www.whatismyip.com/, it still shows the IP address assigned by my ISP.  The "network and sharing Center", I have my original LAN and LAN VPN upward but access to LAN VPN type is 'without Internet access. The VPN connection seems to have activities based on evolution bytes sent and received.

  I searched the Web for solutions and changed something like adding the entry door. But it did not help.

  Split tunnel is probably configured so that traffic destined to school networks pass through the VPN tunnel, and traffic destined to the Internet goes outward through your local ISP. That's why whatismyip show your public IP address from ISP.
