• Just finished a clean install of Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Book Pro Yosemite and Adobe Application Manager does not and cannot install a new copy of Adobe

  Just re-installed a fresh copy of Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Book Pro Yosemite and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and so can't check my copy.  What should I do?

  I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager can be damaged and that I should install a new version of the MAA.  But after downloading a new copy of MAA and makes installation, the program (AAM) will still not installed.  It's like an infinite loop!

  I'm sorry but I'm not on creative cloud.  I'm still on CS6 and it was Adobe Application Manager was not working and I could not install the update to this application.  My AAM version is: 8.0.0160

  The link you provided was the update I wanted to install but it does not work.  A window will appear during the installation that says:

  We encountered the following problems.

  Setup could not initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.

  and then the link to Adobe Support Advisor that leads to a page "Adobe Support Advisor has been abandoned".

• Cannot install updates Photoshop CS6

  I have tried everything to install the updates that I can think of, but still had no success.  The option to check the updates in Photoshop 6 is grayed out (I'm running Windows 7 on a relatively new machine).  I tried to download the update and install manually via the AdobePatchInstaller, but it also fails and I get the window that is shown below.  I tried to reinstall Photoshop CS6.  It does not either.  I disabled the virus checker (McAfee).  I am the only user on this machine (full administrator privileges) and have no problem with the installations of Lightroom or other updates from other programs.  There seems to be something with the Adobe Application Manager CS6.  What could cause the update be grayed out in the menu help of the CS6?  It seems that someone at Adobe would know.  I would be very grateful all help to address that I'm getting a new digital camera and at the very least, would be able to update camera raw, but the CS6 updates would be nice too.  Any thoughts on other things I can try...

  This should solve the problem, unless your network is not connenting on the Adobe update server.

• camera raw 7-2 won't install in Photoshop CS6

  try to install the beta version of camera raw 7-2 in Photoshop CS6 on MacBook Pro, OSX 10.8.1.  Installation begins, then I get Error Code: U44M2P15. I tried the new downloads of camera raw, restart the Mac without result. Any ideas?   I need this version to display the Sony ARW files generated by the new camera Sony DMC RX100. Thanks for any help!

  Thanks for your help Jeff. I wish it was that simple.  I finished on the Adobe customer chat where some very kind technicians helped me. In the end, the problem has been resolved by reinstalling CS6.

  It was a lot harder than it looks!  I ran uninstall photoshop 6, which has encountered an error. Following the advice of the error in line, I then installed the Adobe cleaner and run it a couple of times, with restart. There is always Photoshop 6 files sitting in the Utilities folder. I dragged in wastebasket manually. Photoshop 6 move not, giving an error message at half way through.  After that almost 2 hours tech chat and multiple interventions, the Mac has started in safe mode and repaired permissions, reinstalled photoshop from the original CD, and then upgraded.

  Camera raw 7.2 was then installed successfully, and now my Sony ARW Rx100 photo are brilliantly displayed in Bridge.

  I hope this helps someone else out there who has similar problems. Another installation of camera raw 7.2 on different mac (OS10.8.1) under Photoshop 6 was without event.

  I downloaded the demo of 2015 CC just in case, but I don't want to pay for something I already bought. I want to just add my CS6 serial number and start editing again soon.

I can't choose CS6 only CS6 extended (and many other variants of the PS, most of them extended). If I try CS6 extended, the key is not valid. How can I install and activate my PS CS 6?

  Your serial number is an upgrade, not full version... so you must provide the eligible number of the old program that you used initially as a base for the upgrade
