Install SOA suite 11 g

Hi all

I am very new in the implementation of the Oracle SOA Suite 11 g and I have to migrate my 10g applications, but don't always know what operating system is recommended for installation of 11g and to view the matrix certification but cannot find a recommendation to choice.

I hope you can help me

Thank you

Doesnot Oracle recommends one BONE on the other.

Its a matter of personal choice and other factors such as the enterprise deployment, type of material, etc.
For learning purposes and quick start Windows is preferable because you will be able to be up and running sooner than in the Linux operating system.

Thank you

  • Install SOA Suite on the WLS integrated into JDeveloper

    Hello

I wonder if it is possible to install SOA suite on the integrated WebLogic provided with JDeveloper?

If it is not possible, what is the recommended method for commissioning for development? It is to install a real WebLogic & SOA Suite on each developer's machine?

    Hi Mark,

No, it is not possible to install SOA on the WLS integrated into JDeveloper. There are a few technical problems preventing now, but we would like to get this to work in the future.

So yes, you can install the full WLS + SOA on your own machine for development. After installing, go to WLS and disable everything that you do not reduce the footprint (for example, you need not also good soa and bpm composer composer, you don't need so much worklist and workspace).

  • I can't install SOA Suite 11 without user DBA?

I'll use the RCU tool to create diagrams of SOA required on an Oracle database for my installation. But my company's policies prohibiting me to use a user with DBA privileges. So my question is, it is possible to install SOA Suite with the help of a user who is not a DBA?

In addition, as a test migration, I intend to create patterns of SOA in an 'A' database with the DBA user, and then perform a schema export to the newly created to finally perform an import of this another 'B' database using the DBA user. This will work? My concerns have to do with no privileges in the new database.

    Thanks in advance!

You don't need to have the role DBA to create users, but you need the specific rights granted to create users, roles, tables, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have a complete list of GRANTS, you should be able to create the complete schematics.

To export/import a schema, you can either export the user full or only tables. The later requires that you create the user with exactly the same rights and storage space.

This is much easier if you have granted DBA role...

Unfortunately, the guides of facilities in the (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/index.htm) product documentation provide no clue.

    Girish

    Hi Girish
Make sure that you install JDeveloper and WLS + SOA totally different middleware at (different folders). See below the message for more information:

    JDeveloper and WLS/SOA 11.1.1.6 upgrade

Moreover, JDeveloper version goes head-to-head with WLS + SOA Version. As you have installed SOA 11.6, be sure to download and install version 11.6 JDev only. Older versions may work, but it is not recommended and usually not taken in charge.

  • Difference between SOA Suite 64 Bit and SOA Suite 32 Bit

    Hello

I'm new to SOA. I want to install SOA Suite 64 Bit on my laptop with 64-bit system and a window 8 64-bit.

I'm curious to know what what is the difference between SOA Suite 64 Bit and SOA Suite 32 Bit.

There are various facilities available for the 64-bit and 32-bit?

    Or

The facilities are same for 64-bit and 32-bit, but it's only depends on whether the JDK is 64-bit or 32-bit.

    Thank you

    Prashant jegou

    Hi Prashant, there.

If you use the JDK that is bundled with WLS, I think that you have installed 32 - bit.

The best way to check is to run java-version on the prompt of the JDK that helps run the suite servers SOA. Another approach is to examine the server log and files where the start is unloaded and you should be able to see the seller of the JVM and architecture.

To install WLS 64-bit, you must use the generic installation program (.jar) which requires a JDK 64 - bit pre-installed. And then on top, with installation of SOA.

I never tried to SOA on 32-bit and I think that it is not stable at all due to the limited segment size you can allocate for the JVM.

    Hope this helps,

    Anatoli

  • Installation of SOA Suite 11g

    Hello

I am an oracle applications developer and want to learn how SOA. I would like to install SOA suite 11 g on my computer laptop windows 7, but I read an article on apps2fusion.com, saying it would slow down terribly and may even corrupt Windows operating system files.

Is that true and if so, how install it safely without any mess. This could be a basis of SB, but I couldn't find a good online documentation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

I wouldn't worry about installing corrupt Windows operating system files.  However, it will definitely slow down your PC.  If you are looking for a facility that won't affect your ability to use Windows, I download Oracle virtual box install an OS in VirtualBox and then install SOA Suite in the VirtualBox.  This will allow you to 'fork' more soa and all of its components still active as the database, when you do not need.

Once you have downloaded virtualBox, install your operating system preferred in it.  If you are using Windows 7 and you want it to be the OS used inside VirtualBox, you will need a special touch to it.  However, there are a multitude of free Linux variant. My favorite is CentOS.

Once you have installed an operating system in VB Oracle, so go ahead and download the appropriate files to install SOA Suite.  Please note that SOA suite installation locally requires the installation of Weblogic, a local database Oracle (the database single user works fine), as well as the installation of the entire suite SOA. In addition, you'll also probably want to download and install SOAPUi which is a great tool to test service endpoints.

To get all this to work properly, you will need a lot of RAM.  Currently, my Toolbox (running on Windows 7 Pro, not in VB Oracle) can use (including the total operating system) up to 5.5 GB.  For the above configuration, I would suggest that this amount is available for your VirtualBox and more whatever your OS needs on the host system.

Alternatively, if you install the largest components (Weblogic and the database) on a server, you can simply use in your tests.

Please let me know if that helps.

You need to download "wls1033_generic.jar" for Windows 7 64 bit at the bottom of the link (in the section additional platforms)-

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/IAS/downloads/WLS-main-097127.html

Be sure to use 64 bit JDK. To start the weblogic installation, use the command-

    java-jar wls1033_generic.jar

    Hello
check for spaces or a character that could happen even if you specify the location of the JRE, you can also call runInstaller with
i.e; have - jreLoc, the path in the cmd.

    . / runInstaller - jreLoc /root/Oracle/Middleware/jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32

    that should work.

  • Cannot access the console of EM on SOA Suite 11 g (404 error)

I have installed SOA Suite 11 g on a new environment. The administrator of the server and the managed server (soa_server1) start without any error in the newspapers. However after getting started, I am unable to access the console business to http://Host/em because of the 404 handler. Interestingly, I can access the console of administration WebLogic at http://Host/console with no problems.

I have installed SOA Suite 11 g before on my local machine and have never had any problems like this before.

Is it possible to manually start to the top of the Enterprise Manager application? I've seen some advise in previous posts that mention the use of emctl (Enterprise manager command line control) However, this seems not applicable to the app of the MA that runs on 11 g WebLogic application server.

Troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!

You can access the EM using URLs http://host:7001 / em.

But for the MS to be present in the area, you must have created your model Enterprise Manager domain is selected. I think, you have not done this step. Log in to your administration of WLS Console, Access deployments. Find an application named em '. If she is not there, then this is the question.

To get your domain extended with EM, follow these steps.
1 shut down your servers in the field.
2 call the configuration wizard ($ORACLE_HOME/common/bin/config.sh/cmd)
    3. choose the option Extend area. Select your domain.
    4. Select the model of Enterprise Manager. Complete the wizard.
    5. start your servers.

Now, you will be able to access the MS using the URL above.

There is no need of emctl in SOA 11 GR 1 material. From the server administrator will help you work in EM.

    Hope this helps!

Hi, I advise you to try to use the generic Setup program to: % SOA_INSTALLER_DIR%/Disk1/runInstaller. Because if you use the runInstaller in the %SOA_INSTALLER_DIR%/Disk1/install/solaris it will lead to this problem in some cases.
