Install the Kodak ESP5250 printer software and install Windows updates

My father-in-law bought a Kodak ESP5250 printer last week, we tried to install the software without success. I was even in remote access with Kodak technology for 5 hours. There seems to be a problem with Windows Vista that will not allow the software to install. In addition, the automatic update of Windows has tried for more than a week to download and install updates of security on his computer, he has let stand for 24 hours and it will not install updates.
He runs a Dell 1545 with Windows Vista service pack 2 Dual Core T4200 CPU and 3.0 GB of RAM.
Can you help me solve these problems?

Did you follow the steps I have provided?

I suggest to follow the steps mentioned in the previous post and then try to install the printer software.

You can try the following steps to install the windows updates:

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...)  Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

Step 2: Disable security software, follow the steps mentioned below

Note: Activate security software once everything is done.

Step 3: Put the computer in a clean boot

Now try to install the updates, try to install only some updates at the same time.

    Once the software is installed, it will not be removed under normal circumstances.

    I do not know if your computer is still infected and it is removed or the problem is that you can't 'see' photoshop' but it is always installed.

    to verify this, check the installation directory and check its size on your hard drive.

    You won't be able to re - install using the discs and the number of series that you used initially, but we have a solution.

    The activation for more server CS2 is no longer in service. For this reason, we did a version of these titles of software available that doesn't require activation.     As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.

    As you said you have the Setup program for Windows and Mac, then you can install on two of them, but cannot use them simultaneously according to the EULA. You can install it on 2 Windows machine and it goes the same for both Mac or Win/Mac.

    According to the description, you get an error message "FAILED CONNECTION USER INIT" after installing Windows updates.

    From my research, this problem occurs if the Userinit key in the Windows registry has been changed. For example, this problem may occur if the Userinit key has a value, but no binary data.

    I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.
