Install the new hard drive on the Laptop Inspiron 8600
With the help of people on this forum, I installed a Scopio 160 GB ATA - 100 Mobile Hard Drive just purchased from Dell on my Inspiron 8600 HD. I tried to install Windows XP with the Dell reinstallation CD, this origianally came with the Inspiron 8600. Installation starts, runs for awhile and then informs me that there is no hard drive. I tried to reinstall the Hard Drive - the same thing. I tried to install the Dell CD Drivers and Utilities - same thing. Anyone have any ideas where to go from here? The system has recognized my old HD, but in 5 or 10 minutes or the BSOD appeared. Diagnostics Dell CD indicated that everything was ok except the HD. I'm assuming that the HD is not installed correctly, it is the bad HD or it does not. I appreciate the help. No software is not supplied with the disk ATA Scorpio.

The origonal drive failed?
If you are using a real MS win dvd during the first part of the installation it can not find a drive or ask a driver, then the driver is obtained from Dell, specific to your model, its likely the driver sata, you need to download to say a USB and then point to this file when the installation application the third-party driver.

I pay every month for the use of Lightroom and Photoshop. I recently installed a new hard drive on my laptop, so I have to re - download and re - install LR and Psalm someone can help me with this please?
Hello
You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you don't use it on one at a time. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software. Sign on a computer that should not be used: log in and log out of the desktop Adobe Creative Cloud application
You can download the installer for Creative Cloud from here:
Creative cloud help | Creative cloud desktop. After you install the creative Cloud desktop application, you will need to sign in with a login password and Adobe. Then you can install applications. This link provides more information and step by step instructions, if you need: CC help | Download, install, update or uninstall applications

How to recharge my hard drive with photos that are stored in iCloud? After installing a new hard drive, there's no pictures found in the Photos, and I get this error, "could not find the picture of system library named"Library.photoslibrary Photos".
Soon as your App Photos or iPhoto lost track of your photo library, or there has not been migrated from your old drive. You can create an empty library and probably enable iCloud photo library for photos to upload to the cloud.

Help?
I installed a new HARD drive on my xps 15 because the old drive crashed. Everything works fine and the system boots perfectly. Before entering the Dell splash screen, the screen "control i to access the configuration utility" appears for 5 seconds. After that, the normal boot sequence resumes. Can someone please explain to me why this is happening and what I can do about it?
Here is a link to the screen I get started: http://s102.photobucket.com/user/alexcinie/media/photo_zpsb75f0a7f.jpg.html
The mSATA drive is used as a cache for the hard drive dynamic - these are essentially implemented in a RAID 0 array. See the link below (it is for Alienware, but applies to your system as well).
If you want to keep the disk cache, you need to configure the array as shown.

Original title: Dual Boot Laptop
I want to install a second hard drive in my laptop (mSata SSD), I have two programs to install that "do not receive the", so I can create a system dual boot with the same license Windows on each disc. I can run only one at a time, and it's the same pc/laptop.
No, you can't, a second facility would be like installing on a second computer, you will need to purchase a second license.

Am trying to re - install Acrobat 9 Pro (includes the Distiller) after installing a new hard drive. iMac 27 "2009, ElCapitan 11.11.6. I have the original dmg file. have also tried copying from back up. Same thing is happening anyway. It seems to load correctly. When open it asks my password but not to its own serial number. It is open, but don't watch not at the full bar at the top, that the word Acrobat, and it does nothing? Worked very well before the old drive crashing. On the same operating system?
Not compatible does not mean that it cannot work (even if sometimes this does not mean that). This means that it has never been tested and not be fixed; This often means people have seen strange and unpredictable issues.
Acrobat makes changes to the system, it is always more vulnerable. DC Acribat is the current version. If the goal is to slow down completely, perhaps more profitable subscription activity.

I put a new hard drive in my laptop and when I install Vista I get this message: "windows cannot configure windows to run on this hardware of computers." I can't install an oem on a new hard drive version? This is the portable original in all other respects.
original title: new hard drive and vistaHello
strange that you can request that
HP computers have been known to not let you install Vista on a non HP bought replacement hard drive
There were a few posters with this problem here
If the OEM disc for this particular laptop, you should be able to reinstall it as many times as you want as long as you have not changed the main material (the motherboard)
You can change the hard drives, RAM, etc.
I presume that you boot from the Vista DVD

Install a new hard drive - need advice!
I intend to install a new hard drive on my Compaq C500All hard drives are the same physical size or do I need a specifically for this laptop?I do not have the windows install disks, but I have the sticker on the laptop with the product key to this topic, is it possible to download and install it?And what I have to install the drivers manually or it will install when I install the OS?Thank youTom.I don't know of anyone who has a copy of it,
Is there a way I can download and install with the product key that I have?Yes, but if it is not an official partner, I can't give you the link. And currently I don't know any for Windows Vista.
For Windows 7 (Digital River is an official partner of Microsoft): [link]I guess your best option is to contact HP support by phone or chat online at http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

installed a new hard drive install vista and full custom
I bought a new hard drive for my laptop and I tried several times to re - install windows vista, I have not yet defined a partition, but I don't think that should affect the initial installation. I can get windows installed the first reboot and after it goes to a screen installation complete and remains on for about 20 minutes, after that I get a black screen with a cursor. I'm clueless as to what is the question.
Hello
You can't push Dell by providing Microsoft DVD
but you can ask
all they do is provide you with a way to reinstall vista, they have done
HP is one that you hear about with replacements parts not OEM
This is Dells use this DVD
________________________________________________
or borrow a microsoft vista dvd. not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Install a new hard drive and copy that
I have a gateway that I bought at wal-mart about two years ago, it was windows vista Basic. The hard drive is failling and I am wanting to install a new hard drive but the laptop didn't come with a cd of the operating system. Is it possible to copy the old drive to the new so that I don't lose all the files and I didn't buy a new operating system? Also I can do this with a USB key, do not know how to connect two internal hard drives at the same time. I would like to as cheap as possible but need to do anyway. Thank you

Hey rcfball66
You can always buy a gateway vista recovery disk to reinstall vista back to the factory with the new drive settings
They provide at a nominal cost
manufacturers of hard drive normally supplies free software to their Web sites for the movement of the operating systems of the old hard drive to the new hard disk cloning you buy home
You can also use programs third 3rd to do this, or upgrade Vista Home Basic vista full for pc full upward
but you can normally buy 3rd party programs
read below information about such a program

clean install on new hard drive
My hard drive crashed on my Hp laptop. I installed a new hard drive and want to install my os vista on the computer. I did the recovery disks when I bought the computer and told me that I could reinstall the operating system on the new hard drive. My problem is that I keep getting error codes 1005 and 100a. It stops the installation. I then told me that I have to buy own recovery disks. Can someone make me scroll through the process of getting the OS on my computer. Can I use the recovery disk that I did or do I need to buy new, or I need to find a single version of full vista... Please help and thank you in advance!
I'm sorry but it is the HP recovery, not Microsoft Software/process of.
Also, you did your own Disk(which is correct to do) Recovery, but nobody would know if you make them correctly, or not.

Contact HP above the link for any problems with their software/recovery process.

Upgrade to Windows 8, but I need to install a new hard drive first
Hello
I'll be upgrading my laptop's current (under Windows 7 Pro) to Windows 8 Pro for $40 on October 26. Before you install Windows 8, I'm going to install a new hard drive in my computer. I need some help on how I can do this...
Is it possible for me to install the new drive hard while I am upgrading. I plan to do a clean install anything. If so, how should I go to?
Thank you very much for your answer.
Mike
Create the backup of the image that your computer is now (with Windows 7) before installing Windows 8. If anything should go wrong then just restore Windows 7.
I would like to disconnect the LAN cable and any other unnecessary internal or external device before the upgrade. If all goes well then connect the local network and activate Windows 8.

Hello
My laptop was very slow, so they installed a new hard drive. I have an adobe account and purchased a plan for a year in September. due to the replacement of the hard disk, I lost all my data from the computer. How can I reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud without paying again?
Thank you
I hope that you signed your account cloud to release your activation!
Cloud license allows 2 activations to time http://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms.html
-Install on a 2nd computer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1452292?tstart=0
-https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/sign-in-out-activate-apps.html
-Windows or Mac has no importance... 2 on the same operating system or 1 on each
-Two activations on one account CAN NOT be used at the same time (to be noted in the link above of the license)
