  I have a C55t-B5349 installed with windows 8.1.

  I'm trying to pair a Plantronics headset to the laptop using Bluetooth.

• Windows Update service does not and Outlook advanced search does not

  Have Vista Home Premium on an HP laptop. Running Norton Internet Security Antivirus and firewall.
  There is a month upgrade Office 2003 to Office 2010.
  With Office 2003, I used to give a list of updates, and I would choose where I wanted to, but noticed

  recently that I had no updates online. When I click on the button to make an update, nothing happens.
  In addition, advanced search in Outlook does not work, it ends in a microsecond and produces no result.

  Tried to change updates to not automatically updated, and then again on auto - no effect.
  Tried to go in safe mode and still couldn't do an update.
  Have run ccleaner and Tweaking.com Windows don't repair - no effect

• Windows Update causes high CPU AND not let me install Windows 10

  Windows 7 update has several issues:

  1 Windows Update Service causes the CPU usage high - CPU usually works 50% or more with a single SVCHOST.exe running.  I click with the right button on the SVCHOST entry in Task Manager-processes and saw all the services that SVCHOST is still running.  One at a time, I stopped and restarted them.  Finally, when I stopped the Windows Update service, the cpu immediately fell to almost nothing.  I rebooted and tested several times, and each time, it was Windows Update service that was causing the high CPU.

  2. Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor says I could upgrade to Windows 10, and get the icon Windows 10 is in the toolbar.  But it has failed to install several times.  Now, after stopping and restarting the service of updating (and I checked, it is started), the window get Windows 10 rises, is empty and goes.

  3. I ran the Update Diagnostic and got 1 error:

  So it seems to me this machine is expandable to 10 Windows (it meets the specifications and the Advisor to update Windows-10 said yes and installed the toolbar).  But something is wrong, probably with Windows Updater, and now nothing will be update or upgrade.  And I can't get a new copy of Windows 7.

  So, any thoughts?  I'm out of ideas.

  I have a HP m8034n pc with a tuner Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC Combo.  The pc came with Vista and Windows media center worked great just with the tv tuner.  I upgraded to Windows 7, December 2 and fail to put in place my tv with WMC tuner.  The recorded shows that I had before the upgrade to Windows 7 appear and play without problem in WMC. I used the hardware diagnostic tool that is installed on my pc to control the Tuner, and during the test, I can see fine TV stations.  This unit is compatible according to microsoft Windows 7. I have the latest driver and tried to uninstall and reinstall. I ran Windows Update and everything is up-to-date. After that WMC checks tuners, it says:

  I don't know what happened, I left my PC off overnight and planned reformatting today. But I decided to give him another chance. Instead of saying the tuner was not available.   I tried to figure this out for a whole day now...

  Just put a new hard drive in my computer (pulls out a puff) and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on it. Done all the updates of windows and then got on the re-setup of Production Premium CS4 and CS5. Everything worked beautifully, CS4 installed without problems, CS5 installed as well, but then the installation has met with errors.

  This caused After Effects and first (the two programs I use the most) do not install. I verified the functionality of everything... Illustrator, Photoshop etc... any fine.

  Since then, I've come to forums and google for solutions... I tried many suggestions such as running windows mode startup updated the configs, uninstall - run the CS5 cleaner utility and re - install, uninstall CS4 and then try CS5 so enter my fonts and change the permissions of each font that is installed to the system and my ID to user for total control. Nothing works.

  The last resort I is to wipe the drive (which was so clean that it might always be before this installation you mind...) Re-install windows and see what happens... I expect that it will fail again.

  For what it's worth this is also installed on the same computer exactly as before... just with a new HDD and the OS from Vista now Windows 7.

  I also notice that there is a problem, others have had with several messages describing very similar scenarios. However, I see very little that actually be a successful resolution for a large number of these positions...

  Anyone with any help to offer would be greatly appreciated!

  Have working now after another installation of Windows 7... rather than make the updates for Windows or install SOMETHING else before entering the installation of Production Premium, I immediately install CS5 after Windows has finished installing and I went smoothly.
