Installation of operating system problem

I installed windows 8 via a usb port... After it was installed, it took too much time then I restarted the system... But after that, nothing has worked... First, he showed that no operating system has been found... Then you are prompted to restart the system and reinstall windows... And it kept saying... If I remove the USB he invites me to restart and nothing else works... pressing f10 or shift + f10 is not even open the prompt... and if I insert the usb key I get the BOOTMGR missing... Press ctrl + alt + delete to restart... I tried evrything... f2, f12, f8 or f6... nothing happened... How to fix this... I can't even not the bios or Setup... even to the registry editor...

Power the system down, it turns the power off and wait 10 to 20 minutes.

Plug it in again after 20 minutes and start the thumb drive and make a custom installation:

Boot from the Windows 8 USB key
Click Install now

Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 8 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

    Hi all
I have a problem during the installation of operating system from the recovery disk (Win XP Media Center Edition).

After that, an error has occurred (in a black console window):

Also I can not install another OS (Win 7 for example), during the last part of an installation, I get a message "the work cannot be completed.".

Now, I tried to install the free trial of Windows 8 (64-bit). I downloaded it as a ISO file.

Check the checksum of ISO that you downloaded? Eventually looks bad media.

  • Start of message network AMD during installation of operating system prompted

    Hello

I am trying to install a guest operating system in Vmware Workstation with an ISO of Windows XP SP3, I got MSDN subscriptions.

Configure the virtual machine using the new Machine virtual Wizard of VMWare Workstation (I choose the option "Typical") and "install the operating system later. After the initial installation, I point the device CD/DVD virtual machine for the ISO of Windows XP SP3 file on my hard drive.

My Version of VMWare Workstation is: 7.1.0 build 261024

Host operating system is: Windows 7 Ultimate

    Regarding the CD/DVD device:

"Connect at power on" is already selected.

Device type is: IDE 1:0 CD/DVD (IDE)

I checked the file type of the ISO file I got from MSDN and it is indeed an ISO as shown below:

    en_windows_xp_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14 - 60489.iso: # data filesystem ISO 9660 CD-ROM "GRTMUPD_EN".

When I start the virtual machine, I press F2 and go into the BIOS. Change the boot order by moving the CD/DVD-ROM option to the top of the list in the boot order. Press F10 (to save changes to configuration of startup and exit). However, even after this, the VM tries to boot from the network boot device. I have attached the screenshot of the message that I get for the network boot.

Why the VM starts not using ISO that I mentioned the Virtual Machine CD/DVD device to file?

Please note that I don't have any physical device CD/DVD in my computer. However, I don't think that should have an impact on it because VMWare Workstation will virtualize for the Virtual Machine's CD/DVD-ROM material, even if the physical machine (host) does not have a CD/DVD ROM.

I used the procedure above to correctly install the Windows XP SP3 guest OS in the past, but now, it doesn't seem to work. It seems that booting from CD/DVD-ROM does not work and it goes to the default startup network every time. Please help me solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    Hi NeonFlash,

You probably have a disk that contains just to Service Pack 3, for the installation of the Service Pack on top of an existing instance of Windows XP.

Search for download separately from Windows XP with Service Pack 3 on MSDN and download this one.

    See you soon,.

  • Satellite A200 - restart Constant preventing re-installation of operating system

OK so I was using my laptop (Satellite A200) and it restarted at random, so it kept rebooting at startup upward.
So I decided to use a recovery disc.
He won't through recovery disks without rebooting, so I don't even have a full operating system.
If I open it in the BIOS, it does not restart, it will remain just work inside.

What is the problem, software, hardware, and how much will it cost to get fixed because I don't think that there is something left I can do more.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

This whole story seems somewhat strange. I really don't understand what is wrong with that, but please try to follow:
-Turn on your laptop and press F12 repeatedly to enter the boot options
-Where the list of boot devices is provided recovery media in the optical disc drive
-In the list choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER
    -Follow the on-screen menu

    Can you do this?
    It works well?

  • charging on different operating systems problem

    Hello

Since this is my first post, I'll say this first: I love my 4 GB Sansa Clip!

I had a strange problem, however, and a quick look through the forums has not enlightened yet, although I apologize if it's already been processed somewhere I use my Clip in MSC mode exclusively (DPW was just too odd and flaky). To make it work fine on Windows XP, Mac OS X Tiger and Ubuntu Linux 9.04. Windows is on my main computer, and several months ago the Clip stopped being recognized. In fact, when I plugged into the computer, it come alive and say it is 'connected', but it would not charge and it would not appear as a device in Windows. So I tried it on my Mac mini, and it worked fine. So I used it on my Mac mini since then, but tonight, the same thing happened there: I plugged into it, he said 'connected', but not charged and could not climb. I'm so back to my Windows machine thinking maybe the moody aircraft was begging for some MS action tonight, but no luck. So I restarted in my distro Ubuntu (9.04 v and guess what?) Fortunately, it is charging as I type and he fitted immediately and allowed me to transfer files via.

So, what gives? Why would it matter what operating system tries to mount? It is a complete mystery to me, and I wonder how long I could have before even Linux stops recognize it...

Anyone else encounter this? Thanks in advance!

I can't speak for your Mac problem, but sometimes the Windows can have a brainfart and corrupt the USB driver. Go in with the connected player Device Manager and look for a faulty device (indicated by a triangle-and-yellow exclamation icon) in the tree view of the devices Universal Serial Bus controllers section. Delete any you find, disconnect the drive and restart your PC. Once Windows has finished loading, reconnect the video and Windows should detect and reinstall the driver.

Is it possible to use the recovery CD to reinstall the operating system on a new drive or is the info stored on a partition on my original CD?

    Hello

The use of the Toshiba Recovery CD will set the laptop back to the factory settings.
The image of Toshiba which is placed on the restore CD contains all the drivers, tools, and utilities that were preinstall on the laptop.

Don t worry. You can replace the HARD drive and then just boot from the recovery CD.
This procedure will install the operating system and all the necessary applications and you will get the complete functional unit. ;)
