Installation of PE 14 trial version does not work on a Mac

I figured the message "an error has occurred. The application could not be installed because the Installer file is damaged. Try to get a new setup of the author of the application file.

I wonder if this is the problem: we asked me if I was currently using PE and my answer is no, but probably should have said 'yes '. Once I've upgraded to OS X El Capitan, PE wouldn't work. (It was an old version used by a member of the family - I started to use it as well.) I didn't know how to answer (as it had ceased to function). I heard that EP 14 did not always work with El Capitan, so I tried a trial version before purchasing the PE 14. I don't want to buy just an upgrade since the old PE actually belonged to other members of the family. Is this as clear as mud? Laughing out loud

Anyway, I don't know what to do to make the trial version work. Any ideas? I'm technologically challenged!

Sorry to hear that it still does not, from what you mentioned above in your post, it seems that there is a program on your machine that gives you this trouble.

I recommend temporarily disabling your firewall system.

Completely turn off your security program/antivirus and your internet security module installed on your browser as well.

Now repeat the download and check, let us know if this helps.

You cannot run the trial version on this computer again. If you have another computer (a laptop, for example), you can run it there.     On the Toshiba driver download page, I was able to find a driver of the webcam for Satellite L300D and Windows 7 32-bit. Have you tried this version?
