I'm not very familiar with jdeveloper, but when I imported the TJ he did convert the files to be compatible with the latest version of jdeveloper. The only thing I can think is there are some subtle issues with this new version that will probably take me longer to understand that just by running an earlier version of the work that the other developer used. He told me that he was using:

  P.S.: the problems you see are likely because jdev version and wls must match. You can just use a new jdev and deploy it in the old wls.
