I try to go to the site and me this Windows Media Center 2005 and the Web site links to the download of Windows 7, which we do not want to do, with a link to "Download Windows Media Center now. My windows media player is missing and my system is not let me reinstall it (error code 0x80004005 and 0x8007047F) how can I solve this problem? Thank you!
Hi Trish,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum!
Based on the information you gave it seems you found the error code 0x80004005 and 0x8007047F during the installation of Windows Media player.
If you have windows 7 installed, it is not possible to uninstall Windows Media Player 12. Windows Media Player 12 comes preinstalled with the operating system. You can not downgrade to Windows Media Player 11 in Windows 7.
I suggest you to follow the link and check if it is enabled or disabled, and then restart the computer to start windows media player 12.

How can TV 31RL938 - I find installation key for PC-Windows Media Player
To watch DVD from PC - Windows Media Center (Windows 8) on my TV (31RL938, without fire related to the internet), I have to do an Extender installation with the Media Center on my PC (the TV symbol is on my PC).
That's why I have to put in an installation key (8 digits), which should be on my TV / Extender by choosing 'Windows Media Center' here. But how can I find it?
Thanks for the help!
Gerd
Have you managed that?
To my knowledge the two devices; your TV and your PC must be connected to the same network: in my case its home WLan.
I don t use Media Center, but I made the connection with Windows Media Player.
Using the Media Player I can listen to the video and music to my TV or stereo receiver...Microsoft provides the very nice HowTO on how to start with the streaming media:

Installation/uninstallation of Windows Media Player 11
Hello.
I'm a Dell laptop user with windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit. For more than one Media Player window on my computer stopped working. Because I didn't know what to do to remedy this I installed VLC Media Player and was used during the WMP was not working. Now, I wanted to return WMP but when I click on the shortcut, it displays nothing. I tried to uninstall and do not know if it worked. And when I try to reinstall WMP again, he shows me a dialog box with the msg "there is a more recent version of Windows Media Player (11.0.6000.6324) already. installed on your computer It is not possible to use a more old (11.0.5721.5146) installation package to install files or repair your current version of the reader."
If anyone can help me solve this problem, I will be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

How to add .exe to Windows Media Player 11 installation files for burning?
When I go to add the installation .exe files to burn as a data CD in Windows Media Player 11 on Windows Vista Home Premium, I can't find any option to do so. Windows Media Player 11 claims to have the ability to burn data disks. Does include the installation .exe files?
If the Windows Media Player allows you to burn files .exe to install it on a data disc, what are the exact measurements that are needed to add files .exe on the framework 'Items Drag' here burn screen so that I can get this burned cd already.
Thank you in advance, I look forward to your help!
Hello
You need to burn a disc of data as usual without using Windows Media Player

Windows Media Player does not work. Impossible to use slide show programs, can not open attachments that require Media Player. Tried to update and couldn't. Couldn't fix it.
Hello
Run the sfc/scannow command.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833
Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
- Type the following command and press ENTER:sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions
If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation
read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation

A large part of my cover art of the album disappeared from Windows Media Player after installing Explorer 11 (using Windows 7). It's hundreds of albums and for art that was already present before installing Explorer 11. The number of albums is to manually replace the work a tedious task seriously.
It's the same thing with the installation of Explorer 10, but less than albums, so I learned to live with it. But it's now on a ridiculous on the part of the library.
Can someone tell me where the art is gone? And why?
If there is a way to replace it without doing a search for each album with missing art?
If she is still on my computer somewhere, but is no longer connected to the media player?
Where the cover of the album art in general is maintained? I can not even understand this, using my computer or go to my account to backup Carbonite.
Thanks for any help.
Hi Jamie...
Your album covers on album is in application data files and it will always be there. There is obviously a problem somewhere and it can be if you rebuild your library of wmp that the work will return. I guess you can still see the piece in the album files ok - Yes?
First of all if I should run the Fix It tool and the sfc scanner - after that restart your pc and see if anything has changed. (The scannow sfc tool will report if there are errors, it cannot fix)
Fix - download and run the tool for WMP (all problem areas)
http://Support2.Microsoft.com/FixIt/?WA=wsignin1.0
sfc scannow - follow the instructions here.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833/en-us
After making such a report and we will then rebuild your wmp library if necessary.
Ric.
Afterthought - memory I got a screenshot of the cache of art, so here it is. It is also a "hidden" folder (you can tell by the gray look), that's why you don't find it easily!

Windows Media Player will not play the .mp4 files after installation IE10 - BEX error message
Hello! Recently, when I tried to read a file .mp4 on Windows Media Player, the player would immediately stop working and tell me that he could not play this type of file, even if the day before he could do so without any problem. I had an option to close the program or click to more information, so when I clicked for more information, he gave me this:Signature of the problem:Problem event name: BEXApplication name: wmplayer.exeApplication version: 12.0.7601.17514Application timestamp: 4ce7a485Fault Module name: StackHash_0a9eFault Module Version: 0.0.0.0Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000Exception offset: 00000000Exception code: c0000005Exception data: 00000008OS version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1Locale ID: 1033Additional information 1: 0a9eMore information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789Additional information 3: 0a9eAdditional information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789Back to a system restore point previous fixed the problem and I could again play the files in Media Player, but during the night that Windows updates installed and the morning I could not play these .mp4 files once more. So I restored to a point earlier, changed my updates so that they are is more automatic and by installing each day at a time, I finally isolated the problem in Internet Explorer 10. If I install that, just Windows Media Player will not play these files.I tried a manual update of Internet Explorer 10, turn off all the options of toolbars shit and everything, thinking that when it automatically installs those who may be included, but that has not helped. Had to go back to my previous IE10 restore point. So no matter what, Internet Explorer 10 kills my ability to play .mp4 on Windows Media Player files.I don't have toolbars running on IE9 at all.I know that's obvious answer is 'do not install Internet Explorer 10' or if I do, download another player for .mp4 files. But the fact is, it shouldn't happen, it is indicative of something being wrong, and I would like TO be able to install Internet Explorer 10 AND use Windows Media Player to play these files. If someone else has had this problem, or know a way to fix it?Here are my system specs:Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bitIntel Core i5 - 3350P @ 3.10 GHz CPUASRock H77M LGA 1155 motherboard8 GB DDR3 240 - Pin SD RAMDiamond Radeon HD 7870PE52GV 7870 GHz video cardAnd all my programs are installed on this:SAMSUNG series Pro 840 MZ-7PD256BW 2.5 "256GB SATA III MLC internal Solid State DriveI'd appreciate any help you can provide! Thank you!!It sounds like your question. I think you should uninstall this update andhide and see if that solves your problem. Please report.BarbMVP - Windows/entertainment and connected homePlease mark as answer if that answers your questionI tried myself after experiencing the same problem and error code. I uninstalled the KB2670838 update, and then my Windows Media Player finally worked again. I also found that IE 10 must be uninstalled as well. Installation of IE 10 also automatically installs the update of KB2670838 platform. After uninstalling KB2670838, IE 10 automatically uninstall with it, better you hide two updates so that they do not install again. From the link in the previous post, I learned that the platform update is having problems of conflict with the AMD drivers. Good luck to you and hope this helps.
