  I'm trying to accomplish a proof-of-concept for the migration of legacy x 86 environment running Oracle 10 g in x 64 environment, then upgrade the instance of Oracle 11 g. The first step in doing this is installation of Oracle 10 g in the target environment, which is SLES 11 SP2.

  I went though the standard installation procedure; from what I can discern, I installed all dependent packages, including orarun to prepare the environment. I have a source installation package after some minor headaches (unfortunate that Oracle offers them more, because I'm sure there are others out there pertaining to similar projects) and began the process of installation as the oracle user.

  To install, I chose to keep things as simple as possible and went with all the default Oracle settings, although I chose to not create a starter database. The only difference is that I have in the House/storage of database mapped via iSCSI to/opt/oracle/product /. After editing, I was sure to change the property of oracle: oinstall.

  The first phase of the installation runs without problem. I made the necessary changes to the system so that Setup happily buzzes through the prerequisites and ends the first phase of the installation. However, during the phase of liaison, I meet an error:

  In this paper, I am directed to examine the Journal brand, as in

  I don't know what to do with these permissions problems:

  Another thing, you might check are property of oracle on all directories in/opt/oracle/product/10 g 2/db and the correct permissions. Also, what is your output of the command 'mount '?

  • msiexec /Unregister then msiexec/regserver
  • sfc/scannow
  • services.msc and installer was manual, and the Start button is grayed out.
  • Microsoft Fix It - not found error. In addition, AVG was not so I chose are not included
  • I tried a new registry key (msiserver.reg), fusion nope
  • Looking at his record in the registry editor, it has two instances of msiexec.exe: one at syswow64\msiexec.exe and system32\msiexec.exe. SYSTEM has full control.

  YES YES has been used with Developer 6i too, even if I remember something else at that time it was called.  I think you are missing my point well.  YES is packaged and used by all these products.  There are a stand-alone version (even if it is a bit old), but you should be familiar with how to use it if you want to create your own installation of the product.  So you're mostly new to all this.  I encourage you to take advantage of tools such as Google to find information.  Nearly all documentation, tips, example and downloads can be found with most simple search strings.

  If this is a new installation, you can try to delete/rename user_projects & reconfigure all the components again (creating new Shared services registry). Just make sure that you have enough disk space before proceeding.

  I'm not a person of the Oracle; I see the MS Access UIS for a large group of people. The back-end is, however, Oracle, and is the ODBC connection.
  The company replaced the old computers and new come with the Windows 7 operating system. I found several installation packages, for example: Instant Client Package - beginner and also instant customer Packege - ODBC. All we need is to be able to connect with all the computers in the Oracle database, but I don't know what would be best to install.
  
  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  PL note that 11 GR 2 client will not be able to access a database is less than 10 gr 2. See Doc 207303.1 of the MOS (Client / Server / Support of interoperability between Oracle Versions)

  My home connection is dial-up and to download an 'upgrade' of 40 MB solution would take about 2 hours. I use a public computer with free broadband to download the installation packages of all the software that I use. I can record these packets to a flash drive to take home to work on my computer. The solution of "upgade" Mozilla trying to upgrade the public computer. I don't get a portable installation package. Of course, it serves me.

  Also, if I have a standalone installation package, I can keep it incase I need to re - install, or if I want to share Firefox with someone else.

  I recently installed LabVIEW 2013 on a computer (running Windows XP 32-bit).  The machine has also of LabVIEW 8 is installed, which is what I used before the upgrade.  I opened a VI has been created in LV8 and then saved it and all its subVIs in LV2013.  Now when I open the VI in LV2013 and try to run it, a window opens asking me to find the installation package 'lvruntimeeng.msi' for LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.0.  If I cancel this dialog box, and the subsequent message, indicating that the installion files were not, the VI appears (at least of the initial inspection) to function normally.

  I have closed LabVIEW, downloaded Run-Time Engine 7.0 on the site of NOR and tried to install it, but I received a message saying that it is already installed (as I had suspected).  How can I determine what part of the VI and/or its subVIs tries to make use of Run-Time Engine 7.0?  If not, how can I get LabVIEW to use instead the Run-Time Engine 2013 that was installed when I upgraded to LabVIEW 2013?

  Yes, I run the VI from within a project of LV.  After some more research in the knowledge base OR I could solve the problem by using the following procedure:

  1. use the measurement and Automation Explorer to uninstall Run-Time Engine 7.0

  2. restart the PC

  3. open the project, close the project by choosing "save all".

  4. restart the PC

  5 reinstall the Run-Time Engine 7.0 using a file downloaded from ni.com

  6. restart the PC

  7. open the project, close the project by choosing "save all".

  8. open the project and run the VI.  No more messages on LabVIEW, trying to find the Run-Time Engine 7.0.

  Digital signature of an EXE file with certificate Authenticode Windows means application is approved under Windows.  See tabs Windows security application to build and install Build in the LV for how to apply these certificates.

  Problem: once the signed EXE is digitally compressed, then the digital certificate is "lost" when double-click on icon zipped exe.

  The reason why we like to zip is to provide a clean and simple option for users to install (double-click the 1 icon rather than go to Volume/setup.exe).

  Once I have zip I lose advantage (it does not) digital certificate.

  Other simple options for the distribution of applications that are simple, double-click a unique icon for the installation (including the run-time)?

  You can digitally sign an exe zipped; It is an exe file.

  Use signtool.exe of MS as a free tool to download .net 4.0.
