  I am running Vista Home Premium x 64.  Recently when I try to install/upgrade programs up-to-date currently any Apple IE iTunes Quicktime and Safari I get this message.

  The window update fails on the stage of the installation.  I have read several threads and tried several fixes, but without success.
  I have disabled/restarted/activated/restarted and switched to manual, auto and back with no success. When I try to force an early Setup, I get the following message:
  The Windows Installer service on Local computer started and then stopped.  Some services stop automatically that they are not in use by other services or programs. 
  I deleted the temp under apps folder.  I copied the reg. Since a sound Vista machine and imported into my machine setup.  I tried again with a reg. offered in one of the sons, all with no change.
  I tried to install version 4.5, but was unsuccessful (it looks like I got lucky there).
  May be related or yet another problem, whenever I have Windows Live Mail, a ope 'preparation for the installation of window lights up for about 15 seconds before disappearing and then my mail opens.
  I don't have a Vista CD.  My HP provides on a partitioned drive recovery files.  There seems to be no usable on my computer restore points.
  Ideas?  Help?

  Follow these methods and check if it solves the problem:

  Method 1:
  Auditor of files (SFC) system scan on your computer. SFCscanwill make Windows replace corrupted or missing system files on your computer.

  Scan sfc enforcement procedure:
  1. click on start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator.
  2. click on continue or provide administrator credentials if prompted.
  3. in the command prompt window, type the following text, and then press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow

  I use PSE 7 / 11 in combination with a CANON EOS 550 d.

  Since a few days, I have a weird problem: when I Edit a photo (in what ever kind) in PSE 7 / 11 and copy it onto a SD card tpublishes photo is not visible on the camera.

  If I copy the original image on the card SD image is visible.

  = > my suggestion is that I had a problem with the settings in PSE 7

  I have not changed (intentional) no matter which setting in PSE 7...

  Have you any idea what the reason of this behavior might be and help me?

  I think you have probably saved the file edited in a format such as. PSD that cameras do not know what to do with. If the original file is a. JPG file, and then save the modified as. JPG. Also stick with the use of figures and regular letters in the name of the file - do not use punctuation or spaces.

  I don t think that there is something wrong with the laptop. As you said the microphone works with other programs. In this case there must be something wrong with the software or the use.

  I can do for the download link and download the binary installation with an error file.
