  I used the 8.5 CVI to compile my project in debug mode.

  Before the last my latest changes short I could run the project without any problems.

  Now after beeing ready with the compilation nothing happens for awhile, then ICB crashes and an 'insufficient memory' message appears, sometimes a "a reminder of custom control triggered an exception" message.

  I noticed that in the moment just before the output of cams message memory the size of memory used virual windows goes suddenly to 2.86 GB.

  The pc has 2 GB of physical memory and 6 GB of virtual memory, at the same time is available free memory.

  If I change the debug to zero level, the software is functioning normally, so I think that there is no failure in the code.

  What is the problem?

  After that I added a few features the problem had disappeared.

  The failure seems to be fixed in CVI 9.0, because the project has worked without adding features.

  I tried with different keyword in the forum, but I have not found this answer.

  Hi Trevor,

  Thank you for the presentation of your test program. I was able to reproduce the 'out of memory' you were see and so I investigated this problem first. I'll try to tackle the problem of the acquisition of data/timer tomorrow.

  I confirm that this is a bug in CVI which was previously unknown - and which has been around for a long time, without being detected. The conditions that cause this bug manifest itself are extremely rare, but you were still 'chance' to replicate. Fortunately, there's a pretty easy fix that you can do which should make these conditions disappear.

  The problem occurs when, at some point during the connection phase, an internal memory allocation is requested for a list of the imported symbols, if the list size is between symbols 8187 and 8189. In the case of your project, it happened to be 8188. This list includes all the symbols that your project defines and also imports from all libraries (including the CVI libraries) associated with the project. It turns out when you added the new source file, the total came to be 8188. It depended entirely on what is in your project, of course, but also on the specific version of the CVI, you use.

  A workaround is to add some free in your source file functions, such as the total number of symbols will change. For example, I added the following code to myAsyncTimer.c, which was enough to no longer trigger the bug:

  That could be a possibility very probably too. I mean look your system spec for me, shouldn't make mistakes of memory in most of the games. In fact, you could probably run the most graphically intense with high settings, you may have low FPS, or even a few spikes offset, but not memory error.

  I have several .tdms EA data files (a few seconds sampled at 800kHz). I want to generate ASCII (.txt) files. I actually do, with these and a few other multichannel (fs but weak, 3 kHz). The problem is that if the EA files are too big (for example, 15 seconds), when running the .vi an error saying 'not enough memory to perform the operation.

  So, any ideas?

  I guess that there is a way to write the file in blocks, open - write data - write some data more - new - close the file.

  But my LV skills aren't too good again, reaching .tdms save data and to convert was a great battle.

  So, any ideas for Dummies?

  I searched for the block which gives error and found that none does. I think it's a limitation of the computer, not LV

  In the .vi, I make a loop for the transformation of file format. The 1st .tdms (68Mb in size, a single channel) is done correctly. 2nd (380Mb, also a channel, just more long acquisition time) is the problem. When reading it, it appears the "not enough memory to perform the operation" code window message, but not style of LV, or error, or the window title, just the message and an Ok button. And don't run the program step-by-step (lamp on), no error message appears on the son of the error.

  Even more, it creates a file .txt 2nd, with the proper name (002_xxx), BUT, same size as the first. I would say that the computer is not able to read a lot of data (32 bit, 1 GB RAM) and continues to work with earlier data (first file).

  I'll just try on another computer (64 bit, 3, 93 GB of RAM) and display the results.

• HP Streasm: Warning of insufficient memory on HP Stream

  I sometimes get a fake "Memory" read in point 8.1 of Windows.  I concluded it's a bug in Windows 8.1 has still not been fixed.  The warning may appear at any time and requires no open program other than windows functions-use basis.  The documented problem indicates that there is not enough memory at all but 'virtual memory' aka, pagefile.  My swap file had been set to automatic and read between 1996 MB and MB 3096 when checked before.  My sister-in-law also gets the same error reading on his HP flow.  The experimental only work around that I have tried is to manually set the pagefile to 3000 MB minimum and maximum of 5000 MB.  Why should I still do if Windows is supposed to manage this function?  Memory is never a problem, because I have never more than one program open at the same time except my antivirus in the background.  In fact, I have never had no problem when I actively use the program Google Earth Gobeurs of memory.  The only time wherever I saw the warning message appears is when the laptop is sitting temporarily idle without program upward except maybe a benign game like Spider Solitaire on the screen.  Review of real memory always reads less than 50% usage.  Am I missing something here?

  I have a HP laptop HP G50 with 3 GB 133US memory. Bought with VISTA and Norton 360. After that automatic update to Service Pack 2 start time was about 10 minutes. Try to run something as simple as WORD has been slow and capricious. Looking for problems of slow start I opened the Task Manager to see which application may be the cause of the problem. Seem to be the svchost (from memory here), I chose the performance monitor, and then control of the selected resource. I was surprised to see several thousand hard faults of memory that programs memory access.
  I went to support HP online and got the usual stuff in response to "slow start", I removed everything from the start to the top of the list except the files from Microsoft. Ran disk defrag (Ihave about 178 GB free). The system started in a few minutes. Improved, but when I look at the resource monitor memory hard fouls are still there. I started to NORTON 360 and once again the fly of the hard disk and resource monitor showed errors of memory. I'm guessing that NORTON 360 scans all files for virsus.
  I am currently running without NORTON 360. I watched MICROSOFt Defender and he made scans at a time desired (no good on a system that is not 24 X 7) but I don't see that I could choose Start Up or Power Time.

  Are these true hard memory of flaws? Is this just an invalid display by Microsoft? I found the FL diagnosis on the disk. He was back in August when I bought the system. This newspaper also showed the flaws of memory. Have therefore always been there.

  Test the memory. I think Vista is a memory Tester, but I like Memtest86 + www.memtest.org . Of course, you must obtain the program from a working machine. You will download the .iso image file to create a bootable cd. You will need a third-party burning software such as free ImgBurn , Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Then start with the media that you did (you may need to change the boot priority in your BIOS so that the optical drive is the first boot device). The test runs immediately. The test run for an hour or two--at least that errors are seen immediately. If you get any errors, replace the RAM. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  1. that ^^ stands for me as a red flag. 2.5 MB of free space is too low. You really need clear a space of memory, applications, etc., from your device or you continue to have problems.

  2. I do not recommend the upgrade route based on the web that you are trying to do. I've seen too many problems.

  Do the upgrade manually.

  First save your device completely, using the Desktop Manager. Then close DM.

  Then, follow the instructions IN this link and downloading the 5.0.0.41 OS 9 for the Storm 9530

  I have a disc of 2 TB network hard. 700 GB free.

  My backups are image system of 250 GB and 150 GB user folder. Whenever I try to backup of that memory increases just until it runs out.

  Is this related to a recent update from Windows 7?

  FIXED MEMORY LEAK!

  After weeks of surveillance of the display of memory resources and looking for other forums I found the culprit.

  McAfee AnitVirus software Once I uninstalled the program, everything worked. The computer works much faster, SVCHOST.exe, explorer.exe, sidebar etc use much much less memory.

  Of course, this software has a problem with the copy of the files on a disk network hard. I couldn't copy 50Gbyte overall to the network but now Win7 back/restore drive, does this very easiliy and timely backup of my files users 50Gbyte more image system 256GByte with ease and allow the use of RAM. Use of RAM total now stands at 40% throughout the process.

  This also explains why my other computers never had a problem because they'll TrendMicro. I have a license for 2 packs of McAfee, but was always suspicious with each other due to problems of continuous with the help of McAfee over the years. This last problem led me to the conclusion not to use.

  In fact, the question is not if there is enough physical memory on your system, but if Acrobat has exhausted its 32-bit address space. Acrobat on Windows (32-bit or 64-bit versions of Windows) is still a 32-bit application, limited to about 4 GB of address space maximum virtual memory , which by your screenshots, is exhausted.

  You don't specify what version of Acrobat Pro, you are running, but before DC Acrobat (i.e., Acrobat 11 and earlier versions), it was relatively easy to run out of virtual memory when using control upstream against long, complex, or the two long and complex PDF.

  If you run Acrobat 11 or earlier, the only solution is to upgrade to Acrobat Pro DC in which many aspects of preflight have been significantly updated including support for long and complex documents and performance.

  My VM does not illuminate unless I reduce the RAM 2 038 MB.  I currently have 24 concerts in this host, and about 5 GB used.  I am under my computer as an administrator.

  I did recently Bitlocker encrypt the drive of the virtual machine is on but it will power on when I reduce it to 2038. I have a lot of overhead in the memory Department.
