Integrate an interactive google map in PDF format

Hello

I am currently working on a client project, where many places of different stores must use the same layout, but with a large card. In order to reduce the costs for the customer, the goal is that each store will change the model to their own store. So I'm eager to integrate google maps in the pdf file (which I did via InDesign), where the store can just drag the map and zoom in on their individual situation (the pins are not required) and then to print the document. I was able to make a map using the google maps HTML gives you in InDesign and works fine in Adobe Content Viewer - but not in Adobe Acrobat format, where it ends by as a static picture. In this case, whatever the weather, I save it as an interactive PDF or SWF file.

Is any way to integrate a dynamic, work google map in an interactive PDF document?

(note: I'm working on iOS.) The file should work on Windows and Macintosh, but I understand that he can work only when the file is opened in Acrobat)

As much as I know, no, do not do.

    Is it possible to take a personalized Google map (showing points of interest, we have created) and turn it into a pdf file which would be zoomable, and in which each of these points would be clickable (or via mouseover) to display information on these points? If the answer is Yes, is their feature that allows it to be read on a mobile device?  Thank you! If it is not an Adobe solution that would achieve this, you know another solution?  Here's an example of the type of card I want to be able to convert to PDF and each identifiable icon in a certain way:

    I have a feeling that Google would make it as difficult as possible.

    If I had been asked to do, I would be worrying a lot about the registration of the map data and to know if do a "copy offline" violated the license from Google. http://www.google.com/permissions/geoguidelines.html. How is your copyright?

    Google offers a maps API that can be used to provide maps on mobile devices. This could be the safest option.

    The only way I know is to make a service web call and flip the image (encoded base64). Then bind the results of the web service in the field of the image.

    Thanks for the tip. Sorry for the late reply.

    1 I have managed to get the pdf via classic report report but not through interactive report. It is for this option, you mentioned.
    You must configure a server 'print' in the Instance Oracle APEX settings to use the PDF format to print interactive report.

    2 do not know if I can use apex_ir.get_report send out put it to jasper and get the result.
    3 I tried to use as_pdf2 plugin from Anton Scheffer.

    Again, it works in classic report. I am unable to get the report filtered ir to download in pdf format.

    So in the meantime if you have any link on the print server for interactive report let me know. I need to know where I can specify

    I need the PDF as an attachment.

    You can use "Oracle REST Data Services" as an option "print server".

    With ADR integrated to your instance of APEX, you could get the PDF blob from the server to print using APEX_UTIL. GET_PRINT_DOCUMENT API.

    Reference: Re: what value for p_print_server when you use the Rest Data Services as a print server?

    And then you can send it by using the APEX_MAIL API.

  • Assemble maps in PDF format

    I work with topographic maps of large (38 inches x 28 inches). These PDF maps have geospatial location incorporated (possibly under form a layer) during which is very convenient when in the field using a Tablet and this who do not.

    I'm looking for a way to replace these cards together (6 total) for a large map of shape of the region, in that I work.

    I currently use Adobe Acrobat X (not Pro) and I have access to Photoshop CS3, but after playing with it, I found after import and assemble images, CS3 does not allow me to export (save under) a PDF file and maintain critical geospatial location data.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    The ability to edit or save geospatial coordinates in a PDF file is no longer available in Acrobat X, it can only read and display the data in existing documents. Acrobat 9 Pro Extended was the last version to support publishing and recording geoPDF. You will need to use GIS software to create and export your geoPDF files, such as ESRI.

    Geospatial data are not supported in Photoshop.

  • I need to highlight areas on a map in pdf format and be able to adjust the transparency of the highlight areas.

    I usually do with the editing tools in Excel, but it comes out a bit fuzzy.  This isn't usually a problem, but now I need to be much clearer.  I think that if I make the change directly in Adobe reader it comes out clear as the original copy.  I don't know how to do this in adobe reader.  Can we do this task the reader or do I need another program?  I have a Mac Book Pro.  Thank you

    This can certainly be done with the free player. Use the comment square tool to mark the area you want to highlight, and then press Ctrl + E to open the properties bar. Select the comment you added and you will be able to set the fill color and level of opacity (as well as some other parameters).

    If you want you can then right click on the comment and click on "Use current properties default" so that these settings will be applied automatically to all new comment (of this type) that you create.

    Hi William,.

    Are - what you happened to associate the subject with the cards? Please follow the steps below:

    (1) go to Analytics-> Administration-> manage data card-> tab layers->, click layers import-> button, select a layer, and then click OK.

    (2) then click the plus sign (add a new key BI)-> domain-> select 'A - sample Sales' select a column-> click OK-> Click OK.

    3) go to tab-> import-> maps of reference maps, select a background map and click OK.

    (4) then click on the button Edit background map-> click the sign '+' (add layers)-> select at least one layer-> click OK-> Click OK.

  • OS 10.3 / WebView: no interaction with the Google Maps Javascript API

    Hello

    Google Maps Javascript API no longer works correctly using the Web on OS 10.3.  On all the operating system previous releases everything worked perfectly fine in WebView but on OS 10.3 even if the plan (or view, or anything else provided by Google APIs) is displayed correctly, there is no interaction whatsoever with it - no response to taps, none is panoramic, no zoom, etc.

    I don't speak of the 10.3.0.698 Simulator - I do not have access to the true OS 10.3 device.

    Even simple examples of Google Maps doesn't work, try for example:

    import bb.cascades 1.2

    Page {
        Container {
            preferredHeight: 720
            preferredWidth: 720
            WebView {
                preferredHeight: 720
                preferredWidth: 720

    url: "https://google-developers.appspot.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/full/marker-simple"
            }
        }
    }

    The map appears, but there is absolutely no interaction with it - just a STATIC content.  On OS 10.2.xxxx, it works perfectly fine...

    P.S. If you open the same example URL directly in the web browser on OS 10.3 everything works well - responds to taps, she can be zoomed, panned, etc..    So, it's apparently a problem with user agent (which is probably the same web browser both webview).  Change the user agent in WebView to e.g. Z10 user agent doesn't help, either.

    Can anyone help?

    Your sample application does not seem to suffer the original bug, I thought. That bug could cause a WebView with no ancestor ScrollView would get too small window Visual and tactile input would be anchored to the Visual display window very small. If you want to learn more on this topic, see a tale of two windows - part for the discussion of Visual and updated display on the page. Perhaps your sample application it is OK because it specifies a preferredHeight for Web display, which can affect the used Visual display window.

    To be more precise, on a real device of passport BlackBerry running OS versions 10.3.0.1052 and 10.3.0.1154, the sample you provided responds perfectly to press ENTER.

    However, on the Simulator on OS 10.3.0.698, I can confirm input touchscreen does not work. Therefore a separate bug, which seems to be specific to the Simulator.

    I think you can be assured that end users will still be able to use your app (s) on a real passport of BlackBerry device, but it is unfortunate that it does not work on the Simulator.

  • I created show and hide features in InDesign I want to export to interactive PDF format. These functions work when seen in Acrobat on the desktop, but not on iPad/Tablet - why?

    I created show and hide features in InDesign I want to export to interactive PDF format. These functions work when seen in Acrobat on the desktop, but not on iPad/Tablet - why?

    Why? Most likely because the PDF Viewer on the Tablet is too stupid to deal with show/hide functionality.

    You could try PDF Expert of Readdle on qpdf Notes Pro on Android and iOS devices.

    Depending on how the show/hide was created during the export of InDesign, it can work in viewers. Otherwise, you will need to open PDF files in Acrobat and edit features show/hide something more digests of PDF device viewers.

    BTW, you will encounter the same issues with the PDF display components in web browsers.

    I hope this can help.

    Two invites on 1 page in Indesign that when exporting to adobe reader in pdf format, I can simply add new names that populate both copies and then be printable. Any help out there is how to make an invitation in Indesign, but now how to make 2 copies on a single page that someone else ie the customer can add their own names. So each field name must complete on both guest. Sounds simple, but is not really there to help. I think he called an interactive pdf. Thanks in advance.

    AutoFill is the easiest part, he lies. If both fields have the same name, they will have the same content: type in one and it appears in the other.

  • Error in the export of interactive report in PDF format

    Hello

    I use the APEX and an interactive report, trying to export using download | PDF format. The table and the corresponding report includes only text fields. Database character set is UTF-8. So far I have not been able to get a PDF file that can be opened in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Each file fails with message as "Adobe Reader could not open nomdefichier.pdf, because it is not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an attachment to e-mail and has not been correctly decoded). This happens for every report I've tried so far. If I export the report to CSV format, all are ok.

    Y at - it a bug known with download PDF of APEX?

    TIA

  • Export of the break lines in PDF format with interactive links

    In all my years of work with the ID and export to interactive PDF, I always thought that to jump lines (Type > insert special character > marker > next number number/Previous Page) would export as interactive link in a PDF document.

    But in doing research for an article, I was able to get the lines break to have interactivity in a PDF document (or a FXL).

    Is this something that is broken?

    Peter Spier has answered a question in 2009 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/431407?q=jump%20lines which indicate that the jump lines are hyperlinks. But he mentions looking window > Interactive. Which seems to indicate that you should take the jump lines and make them hyperlinks using the links Panel.

    I expect that the link hidden in electronic jump lines would be automatically exported as a link in a PDF document.

    I was wrong all these years?

    Hi Sandee,

    I feel looking at the old thread, it is that you do manually jumplines hyperlinks.

  • How to integrate google maps contact form us

    Hi, I am looking to add a form where when customers fill out the form, which they can also place a google maps pin and submit the form on Business Catalyst. I managed to find this widget on the canyon of code called contact 7, but it has a .php file. I'm building my site on Adobe Muse and do not know how to do about it.

    If you can initialize the map integrated with javascript, you can listen for events from marker movement and update the hidden fields on the form. This question & answer on StackOverflow is an excellent example.

  • Issue mode develop to integrate google map

    Hello

    I am faced with an interesting problem to develop the integration of google map html code mode (screenshot attached)

    The rectangle of card display almost the same size box below filled with black, while in preview mode, it does not work properly. I couldn't find the reason, where I'm doing something wrong.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

    Try custom size (520 x 600), he displayed no black box, as you said that it is controlled by Google Server codes.

    I lived it for years, if you increase the height more than 520 (or almost 550) it will show a black box (Iframe background) in design mode.

    A lot of people call a bug in Google map, even if use use Google map or a script.

    Try to work with 520 as height

    Enjoy working with MUSE!
