Assemble maps in PDF format

I work with topographic maps of large (38 inches x 28 inches). These PDF maps have geospatial location incorporated (possibly under form a layer) during which is very convenient when in the field using a Tablet and this who do not.

I'm looking for a way to replace these cards together (6 total) for a large map of shape of the region, in that I work.

I currently use Adobe Acrobat X (not Pro) and I have access to Photoshop CS3, but after playing with it, I found after import and assemble images, CS3 does not allow me to export (save under) a PDF file and maintain critical geospatial location data.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The ability to edit or save geospatial coordinates in a PDF file is no longer available in Acrobat X, it can only read and display the data in existing documents. Acrobat 9 Pro Extended was the last version to support publishing and recording geoPDF. You will need to use GIS software to create and export your geoPDF files, such as ESRI.

Geospatial data are not supported in Photoshop.

  • Integrate an interactive google map in PDF format

    Hello

I am currently working on a client project, where many places of different stores must use the same layout, but with a large card. In order to reduce the costs for the customer, the goal is that each store will change the model to their own store. So I'm eager to integrate google maps in the pdf file (which I did via InDesign), where the store can just drag the map and zoom in on their individual situation (the pins are not required) and then to print the document. I was able to make a map using the google maps HTML gives you in InDesign and works fine in Adobe Content Viewer - but not in Adobe Acrobat format, where it ends by as a static picture. In this case, whatever the weather, I save it as an interactive PDF or SWF file.

Is any way to integrate a dynamic, work google map in an interactive PDF document?

(note: I'm working on iOS.) The file should work on Windows and Macintosh, but I understand that he can work only when the file is opened in Acrobat)

As much as I know, no, do not do.

  • Custom conversion Google map in PDF format

Is it possible to take a personalized Google map (showing points of interest, we have created) and turn it into a pdf file which would be zoomable, and in which each of these points would be clickable (or via mouseover) to display information on these points? If the answer is Yes, is their feature that allows it to be read on a mobile device?  Thank you! If it is not an Adobe solution that would achieve this, you know another solution?  Here's an example of the type of card I want to be able to convert to PDF and each identifiable icon in a certain way:

    +city map sample.jpg

I have a feeling that Google would make it as difficult as possible.

If I had been asked to do, I would be worrying a lot about the registration of the map data and to know if do a "copy offline" violated the license from Google. http://www.google.com/permissions/geoguidelines.html. How is your copyright?

Google offers a maps API that can be used to provide maps on mobile devices. This could be the safest option.

  • Rendering of static Image of the Google map in PDF format

Is it possible to use the Google Maps API for PDF. I have a form with a text input (which accepts an address for example: name of the city) and a button. Click on the button I want to go to google map api and display the image of the map inside the PDF (field of view).

    Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance.

The only way I know is to make a service web call and flip the image (encoded base64). Then bind the results of the web service in the field of the image.

  • I need to highlight areas on a map in pdf format and be able to adjust the transparency of the highlight areas.

I usually do with the editing tools in Excel, but it comes out a bit fuzzy.  This isn't usually a problem, but now I need to be much clearer.  I think that if I make the change directly in Adobe reader it comes out clear as the original copy.  I don't know how to do this in adobe reader.  Can we do this task the reader or do I need another program?  I have a Mac Book Pro.  Thank you

This can certainly be done with the free player. Use the comment square tool to mark the area you want to highlight, and then press Ctrl + E to open the properties bar. Select the comment you added and you will be able to set the fill color and level of opacity (as well as some other parameters).

If you want you can then right click on the comment and click on "Use current properties default" so that these settings will be applied automatically to all new comment (of this type) that you create.

  • Including the conversion unit during printing technical product or a supplier file in PDF format

When we print product sheet and files of the supplier, the resultant PDF print or file contains no Conversion of units.  Would you be able to provide PLM 6.1.1.5 code to add information to Conversion of units (in \Reports\FO\GSM$xlate$.xsl) of the contents page in PDF format?

    Hi Dulce,

I think that there is already a model inside GSM$ xlate$ .xsl which can be mapped based on the product data specification and printing Unit Conversion. It also includes data of TS and density. If you're OK with printing as well as data, then the change is very simple:

1 find a model that corresponds on specifications with the mode ProductSpecs - this model of the plug product handles (should be around line 693).

    It should look like

    ....

    2. Add the next node in the model (inserting just below of the might be a good place)

This model corresponds to DesignAttribute node product sheet XMLand create a section of density, Conversion unit and TS - you can find the model if you are looking for 'match model = "DesignAttribute" ' which should be about 5741.

I think that this template is not used anywhere else so you can remove some of the sections in this model.

Also, be sure to bounce the application so that the changes take effect.

Right side of the text in the report are cut during report generated in PDF format.
In the report layout text is FLUSH JUSTIFIED. Text block is the same size as the outer frame.
When the report is generated in PDF format, text is only JUSTIFIED to the LEFT and to the right looks like cut. Text beyond frame is invisible.
But when I text selection in the PDF report that all the text is selected and I can copy and paste this text into any editor.
What is a cause of this error and how can I solve this problem? In my view, there is error in report engine.

  • Toolbox for Pages only opens in PDF format and does not directly open from documents Pages.

How do 'Toolbox for Pages' to open directly from a Pages document (I use ' menu Insertion, but that does not help) and get the spare in PDF formats since I can not insert in my documents Pages?

You have answered your concerns with Jumsoft, the vendor providing the third party package? It is an Apple product, or probably something that much/all have installed us.

The Insert on Pages menu is set by Apple and not usable by third-party applications. You get PDF page content in the Pages just by drag and drop.

You can also make use of MBOX to PDF Converter. I found this site software - http://download.cnet.com/MBOX-to-PDF-Converter/3000-2369_4-76284538.html

Its a tool that facilitates the process and saves a lot of time.

  • How to open files in pdf format .php. Can do in Safari, and not in FF

I tried to open a file from a web page that downloads as a .php. When I open it, it happens like jibberish (for me), not in pdf format. If I use Safari, it happens in pdf format in the appropriate format.
    Thanks in advance.

You can rename the file in the Finder and add a .pdf file extension if the vehicle currently has a .php file extension.

Better still is to check the file name when you download and save a file to make sure that the file has the correct file extension to avoid these problems.

  • When I select the share on a WORD doc link in Dropbox, Firefox SENDS it in PDF format. Why?

I have the documents in Dropbox I share with others. Most of the time it works. However, when trying to share a single file for a particular email the original WORD document appears on my screen (until I pressed SEND) in PDF format. When the person receives the invitation of Dropbox and press the link in his Inbox, WORD file appears also in PDF format. There should be no PDF anywhere in this transaction.

Dropbox has a feature of practice to preview the DOC files to PDF in Firefox built-in PDF Viewer. It is convenient, but can lead to this problem that you eventually download the document in PDF format instead of a DOC file.

As long as the recipient is using the download button on Dropbox toolbar above the Viewer (see screenshot attached comparison), the beneficiary must obtain the original instead of the preview format.
